Panasonic Lumix FS7

...I have just replaced my Fuji fine pix with another camera, and whilst buying my boyfriend bought himself a Lumix FS7 which I am now regretting not getting for myself. Always the way, but whenever I go shopping for something electrical, some guy in a suit always sways me towards something different. Which I should really learn from and just buy online, its usually cheaper anyway. The Panasonic Lumix FS7 Digital camera comes in a range of different colours; it cost £130 which for a 10.1 Megapixel camera was pretty good and the deal we got meant that a free case came with it as well as an additional memory card. very good low end solid state camcorder

Advantages: good picture quality in most aplications, very light ,good batery life
Disadvantages: focus can be poor in very low light recordings

...Bought the FS100 for the birth of our baby boy. Once I had got used to the options and adjusted a few things the sound and picture are very good for a memory card based camcorder in this price range. Mostly make sure you've turned off the wind guard option or the sound will be terrible in non windy recordings It also has a White LED spot light for low light conditions which really helps...allot of camcorders lack this. The auto focus in reasonable light conditions works well gives good 'crisp' video?.however in low light conditions with the led light turned off its not quite as fast but just make sure not to move too quickly between focal points and all is fine. The image stabilisation works well and doesn't compromise video quality much at all. The optical zoom is good and it records in 16:9 (widescreen) so recordings...

Advantages: Innovative, fun to use

...I got the Samsung F480 recently as a free upgrade from my contract provider, I don't think I would have paid for this phone as I'm fairly clumsy and wouldn't have been convinced the large screen would have lasted more than a month. The phone itself however isn't as fragile as it looks and I haven't managed to do any damage to it yet (Despite dropping it on several occasions and sitting on it once.) I'm not going to go in all the technical details of the phone as I don't think they provide you what you really need to know about the phone so I'll stick to the stuff that I use a mobile for. Navigating you way round the menu's on the phone is fairly easy and I find the touchscreen quite innovative, the menu's follow the standard Samsung format and you can find everything you need quite easily, the phone is obviously an attempt to rival...

...The Canon FS10 is a non HD video camera. it has a lack of features its video quality is a little below average and whatever good things it has are ruined by a bad software interface. The camera is quite easy to use at a basic level, you hit record and it records, but advanced features are hard to get to and take a long time to be found. its buttons are arranged in a very odd way and some things require some very strange hand movements The recording quality of the camera is a little off average, it is good for playback at smaller sizes but on a bigger scale looks bad and is very noisy. it cant adjust to lighting conditions well and the zoom is too strong for its own good. the still quality is low res but its high quality. i have little comment on the still quality because a stills camera is what you use to take stills, not a video...

Samsung F-480 (Tocco)

Advantages: Incredibly stylish and functional

...At first a little apprehensive, after always having Samsung products i wondered if it would live up to it's rivals! It does! The F480 (Or Tocco as commonly known) is an excellent example in it's class. The camera at first glance is a little dissapointing but with a the correct settings and when pictures uploaded onto your computer, the quality really shines through. Simple, easy to use functions and the ultra responsive touch screen are an asset to this mobile phone. The widget feature is brilliant, although a little too responsive and sometimes frustrating! Basic menu functions include, text messages, phone book, my files, applications, music player etc and more! Little hidden extra gems included, such as world clock (which can be viewed in the widget) converter, video editor, voice recorder and the uber impressive music...
