Advantages: The great multiplayer option Disadvantages: The graphics aren't all that!
...F zero x is a one-of-a-kind racing world from another galaxy. The cars and tracks make it a unique driving experience.
When you first load the game you are greeted by a display screen of five different catagories:
Practice
Grand Prix
Multiplayer
Death Race
Time Attack
PRACTICE- From choosing this sub-topic you can choose from any of the tracks from JACK, QUEEN, or KING or if you are further in the game JOKER.
From practicing different tracks you are able to get a feel for the layout and test your own limits on the winding corners and bends. This is a good option if you are beginning the game for the first time.
GRAND PRIX- This allows you to choose, once again, JACK, QUEEN OR KING or later in the game JOKER.
JACK is the easiest of the four and JOKER is the hardest. After selecting your chosen level you can then select...

Review of F Zero X (N64)
...Since the first cavemen ran away from dinosaurs man has always had an obsesion with going faster whether on two legs, four, or on wheels. Not since you took a lift with a boy racer in his XR2 have you felt such G-forces.
F-ZeroX is a fantastically playable speed fest which pits you against 29 (yes 29) other vehicles in a frantic race for the checkered flag. What sets this game apart from the other futuristic racers is not only the 29 other racers but the sheer speed of the game, bombing along at 1000Km/h is a thrilling experiance and actually maintaining this speed round bends and not becoming a smoking hole in a crash barrier is an ongoing strugle. But once you get the hang of this game you will find it becomes second nature. The first time you play this you will be amazed as you see 29 other cars jostle for position on the first...

- Grand Prix
This is the biggest mode in the game, and is the one you are most likely to play first. Like most racing games, this follows the basic idea of competing in races to earn a cup, and F-Zero X does not fail to deliver on this.
When you first play the game, only one cup is available to the player - the Jack cup on Novice difficulty. Each difficulty setting has 5 different cups to complete – Jack, Queen, King, Joker...

Review of F Zero X (N64)
Advantages: clear sound, very low noise Disadvantages: remote control would be nice
...An easy, plug'n'play sound system in cute-looking body with great performance. I was looking for new speakers for my laptop but then I decided I wanted more than just speakers and started searching through the lists of 2.1 and 5.1 sound systems. Originally I was about to buy a 5.1, but I realized such a set wouldn't be smart for a laptop which I wanna carry around and have it now on my desk, then on my bed, then on the floor etc, for which a 5.1 felt too much of cables and mass.
I'm happy about my decision since the Logitech X-230 has proven to live up to the expectations based on what they promise, the sound is clear, full and I find it great for both music, games or movies. The subwoofer bass is strong and full, perfectly satisfying for almost cinema movie experience. You can hear hardly any noise and the volume range is wide enough...

Review of Logitech X 230
Advantages: Innovative, fun to use Disadvantages: takes getting used to
...I got the Samsung F480 recently as a free upgrade from my contract provider, I don't think I would have paid for this phone as I'm fairly clumsy and wouldn't have been convinced the large screen would have lasted more than a month.
The phone itself however isn't as fragile as it looks and I haven't managed to do any damage to it yet (Despite dropping it on several occasions and sitting on it once.) I'm not going to go in all the technical details of the phone as I don't think they provide you what you really need to know about the phone so I'll stick to the stuff that I use a mobile for.
Navigating you way round the menu's on the phone is fairly easy and I find the touchscreen quite innovative, the menu's follow the standard Samsung format and you can find everything you need quite easily, the phone is obviously an attempt to rival...

Review of Samsung SGH-F480
Advantages: Amazing multiplayer Disadvantages: You can't make your own tracks
...This is one of the first games I bought for my N64. I played it a lot before I bought it because I borrowed it for about two months and as a result I felt it was a part of my collection so I just had to buy it. The game has a real sense of high speed to it as you can go up to speeds of around 1300km/h. It works very well with the rumble pack aswell. This game is very good for multiplayer and whenever my friends come around or I have nothing to do I play it. There are loads of tracks to choose from and if you get bored of all of them you can select the X cup tracks which are randomly put together so that they are never the same. The tracks also can have loops, pipes, half pipes, boosts and much more. The single player in the game is also good because it can get you new things for multiplayer and it also has a death race which basicly...

Review of F Zero X (N64)
Advantages: Features, Low-light capability Disadvantages: A little confusing to master and a little too expensive
...The Fuji FinePix F70EXR is billed by the manufacturer as the slimmest 10x zoom camera on the market and, at less than 23mm in depth, it is certainly very easy and convenient to carry around. The zoom is great for magnification, being the equivalent of 27-270mm in 35mm terms, but I found it to be a little fuzzy at the long end. There is also a 4x digital zoom for anyone who wants it.
The FinePix F-series cameras are renowned for their low-light (high ISO) capabilities and the F70EXR should be no exception, sharing as it does the 1/2 inch sensor of the F200EXR but with 2 million fewer pixels crammed onto it. Also the EXR technology is great for combating noise on higher ISO shots.
Obviously the F70EXR is small, compact and lightweight and, in general, feels great to hold, with all the controls being conveniently placed ? apart from...
Advantages: Solid build, responsive, vast array of buttons, highly customisable Disadvantages: Can be tricky to install, programming buttons can be a nightmare!
...I have had this joystick for around 4 years now and it is only recently I got it out of the loft in anticipation for Flight Simulator X to hit the shelves on October 16th 2006.
When you first open the X36 box the first thing that hits you is the size and build quality ... its a solidly built joystick which will last you a good few years (even if you are a bit rough with it like myself). The first downside of this stick is that it can be a pain to install, if your unlucky enough to have purchased the Gameport version Saiteks on only support is the hideous Windows 98 & ME Operating Systems there is a 3rd party written drive for Windows 2000 and XP but unfortunately I am not allowed to link to it in this review, however all the new models should have USB on but they still need a drive to install and currently Windows 2000 and XP have no...
Advantages: Easy to reach buttons, Fully programmable, Looks great Disadvantages: Remembering what you programmed each button to do
...The Saitek X36F Flight control stick is a beast of a Joystick. It has 3 push buttons, a missile launch button (with safety catch), a trigger button, 2 eight direction HAT controllers and a "Pinkie" switch. all of these buttons are in easy to reach locations so it is easy to use in the heat of battle.
With the use of the programming software, you can change the function of all of the butons and HAT switches and can choose what mode to have the "pinkie" switch set to. The Pinkie switch is simply a sliding triggar that is operated by your little finger and it can function as an ordinary button (good for afterburners) or as a Shift button, which will allow you to program 2 commands for each button. One for normal usage and one for Shifted usage.
The Flightstick itself does not have a small throttle wheel built in like most other...
Advantages: Great track designs, Fast, Good single player options. Disadvantages: turns you against your friends!
...F-Zero X is one of the most original and inspiring racing games I have seen for the N64. It is fast, futeristic and most importantly fun. It is quite like wipeout, but in my opinion better. This is because of many reasons. One of them being that the tracks are better in design, and there is the different sizes, shapes and speeds of vehicles. with so many options it takes me quite a while to decide which vehicle I will use which is the only downside I can think of for buying this game. Alot of games have bonus tracks and so does this one. Not only does it have loads of bonus tracks, it has extra cars and the oppurtunity to play on randomly selected tracks in the F-Zero X Cup, and that isn't all! You can also play "Death Matches" where you race on a normal track for an infinate amount of laps until you have destroyed the 29 other vehicles...
