...F1 2000 is a very good and realistic game based on the motor sport Formula 1. The graphics are superb and the cars actially look like F1 cars... unlike other F1 games where they look like a pointed box with 4 wheels. The gameplay is superb and every is so real... the cars, background, pitlane, gameplay and you actually feel like you're driving a F1 car. F1 2000 is definetly a very good game and you should definetly try this game out, but once you've started playing I bet you wouldn't want to stop playing because F1 2000 can be very addictive for some...... Advantages: The history
Disadvantages: Limited overtaking

...I am not a great fan of Formula 1 motor racing, but will always turn on to watch the weekend at Monte Carlo. I don't know if it is the sharp corners or the history of the circuit but there is always a buzz when F1 goes there. I have not had the pleasure of seeing F1 cars race the circuit live, but have been there in the days after a Grand Prix. The tunnel, the pits, the grid on the main street, the casino. How can anyone fail to see the appeal of this magnificent circuit? The fact that there is no overtaking is made up for by the dramatic backdrops and sharp bends. Lets hope that they keep this magnificent annual race and heres to more future dramatics at Monaco.... Read review

...Need For Speed 2 is a game that many will enjoy.It has many difrent settings for your comfort, such as setting it to arcade, simulation or wild for nocking your opponent out of the way! I have enjoyed this game for a long time, about a month or so. This game has many difrent cars to select from plus three bonus cars. Here is a list of some of the cars: Ford gt90, MclarenF1, Ford Indigo, MustangMach3, Lotus GT1 and a Ferrari 355f1. The cars do flip over but dont get a scratch on them some people like that. The flips are realistic.Every car has its own speed and class. Classes A,B and C describe how good they are. By the way the graphics are good but the codes will blow you away!... Read review

...I have played all of the F1 franchise and this is by far the best yet. The original game has always led the way since 1996 and has yet to be improved upon by Psygnosis. However, the EA version is a breed apart. First, the graphics are pretty nice. Average, to be fair. The tracks are nicely detailed as are the cars with accurate sponsors on the wings and the racing line on the track. The sounds for the first time don't sound like a flock of seagulls screaching. It sounds like an F1 car and F1 race should. The game play itself is magical. The damage is great! Smack a wall and your wheel will come loose or your wing will snap off. This is the best damage sim in a racing game yet. The handling of the car feels like an F1 car would, as opposed to the F1 98 and 99 versions where you can stick it wherever you like or if you go in too quick... Read review

...Pedro De La Rosa flirted with death at Monza today, not that the smash was necessarily his fault but when you see an F1 car flying through the air as his did, first thoughts are inevitably bad. Since the death of Senna a few years back, Formula 1 held its breath, and has been slowly exhaling, and todays smash will have then reaching for the oxygen again. I haven't yet seen the news on the marshall who was hit, but when a guy is being given emergency resusitation/heart massage at the edge of the track , it can't be good. De La Rosa is a driver full of potential , and with a better car under him, would be closing on the better drivers in the championship. While he may never be a Schumacher or Hakkinnen, he would, I feel, keep company with the likes of Fisichella, Button and Irvine. Lets hope he scrape today will focus him to further... Read review

Disadvantages: 98 teams, Replays not that good, Not (quite) the real thing!

...Five Years I've waited for this game, worth it? Well it's the best F1 game money can buy which means I can't not reccomend it to you...but wait isn't this just GP2 with better grapics & gameplay? well actually yes, but that's not such a bad thing GP2 was an amazing game and this improves on it. I have a force feedback steering wheel and it plays superbly! the tracks are recreated down to the finest detail and the cars handle just like I'd imagine a real F1 car would. The grapics are nice too....not groundbreaking but nice. The presentation has been improved as well, but I'm still left feeling a bit let down. Why? well where are the safety cars, the warm-up lap, the red flags & penaltys? Roll on 2005!... Read review

...Wildside run weekends that give you the opportunity to drive a genuine F1 car. This is an opportunity that simply can not be missed by any F1 fan. You can choose, Drive Schumies '95 Benneton round Spa or Magny Cours, or for a cheaper option, take an '89 or '90 AGS car round thier test track near Nice, either way this is the real thing. You simply cannot imagine the breathetaking perfomance and handling of these machines, from the second that the engine starts, through the awesome acceleration and the feel of the car sticking to the track in the fast corners. I can personally guarantee that you will not be disappointed, this is every petrol heads dream come true. The only downside is the cost is prohibitive to many of us, my holiday included a week in Nice (very nice hotel), champagne reception, 25 laps in a Formula 3 car, 2 laps... Read review

...i am hooked on one of the first games published 'soul calibur'- what graphics, i haven't seen p2 yet so can't conclude my recommendation fully but d/cast is the best i've seen yet. 3d action of the highest calibur ( no punt intended). speed is mesmerising and sound quality is excellent. sonic the hedgehog races like a f1 car through different levels and the game complements the console. one thing though, don't buy for internet use as in my case it proved of some but not much use. the main problem is that windows internet explorer or netscape are not incorporated and though it says windows compatible i've tried many a time to download ie5 but no use. so basically bad luck if you want to visit a site which needs internet explorer or netscape to view. apart from that an excellent choice with multiplayer shoot 'em , beat 'em and what have... .... There are over 180 of the best cars available and included also are F1 cars - of course these need to be unlocked. Unfortunately for us british owners of Ps2 (or any that are PAL) for some reason Sont has decided to release the game using 50hz refresh rate only but to be honest it doesnt effect the gameplay that much.... Disadvantages: Drivers - why do they not come home 1-2 every time?

...McLaren have the best car this season (2000) and have had for the past two years. They are English but sadly they do not have the Tifosi as Ferrari have got or the master tactition, Ross Brawn. However, the brilliance of McLaren does bring the drivers into question. Every other F1 car in existence (with the grooved tyres on) is inferior to the flying McLaren, so why do the drivers not finish consistently in the prized 1-2 formation? Because they do not have the ability of the misinterpreted German, Michael Schumacher. Undoubtedly one of the, if not the most talented driver of all time. If Schumacher drove for McLaren (which he never will) and was partnered by the likes of H-H-Frentzen, another great driver (and not because of his nationality) or Jarno Trulli, McLaren would dominate every season.
