Advantages: Very interesting for people who lke history Disadvantages: Not much to do for people who are tagging along
...In the Charente Maritime area of France just outside Barzan you?ll find a small museum and Roman dig. The site was originally discovered in 1975 when aerial photographs of the area revealed a Roman port town in the village called Le Fâ. The site is believed to be the city of Novioregum, although this is yet to be verified.
This is still a working dig, as there is much of the city yet to be unearthed, and when we visited there were what appeared to be a bunch of university students working on the dig (although that might be stereotyping archaeological types). Apart from the main tower, the major unearthing has been the Roman Baths, which take up most of the area open to the public.
However, before you reach the excavated areas there is a small museum, which begins in the same area as the reception desk.
Firstly the prices, adults...

Review of Fa Cup competition
Advantages: Loads of details, very in-depth Disadvantages: Can be slow, and sometimes crashes
...Championship Manager...Premier Manager...FA Premier League Manager 2002. Spotted the odd one out? I know what you're thinking - the last one is pretty much unheard of, whereas the first two are mega-giants in the world of football management simulation games. I have to say, you're very wrong. FA Premier League Manager 2002 (FAPLM), by Electronic Arts, is fast becoming one of the most popular management sims around. There is no doubt that this is all down to the immense detail, accuracy, and wealth of features within the game.
So, what does this FAPLM have over Championship Manager, the undisputed king of management sims? First of all, the match engine. Championship Manager shows you the entire match in text - "Bergkamp is running with the ball...Bergkamp shoots!...he misses...", whereas FAPLM actually SHOWS you the match. You get to...
Advantages: No matter how many times you play it, you will always find something new Disadvantages: No ability to edit players. It is sometimes nice to make up your own teams and this isn't possibel on this game. Bugs in the 3D Match Engine makes watching boring and predictable.
...I love football management sims. I have liked them ever since I bought Championship Manager 97 to play with my son, Daniel.
I was given The FA Premier League Football Manager 2000 as a Christmas present this year by one of my step-teenagers. Although dated it is still available and I couldn't wait to play it.
Installation of the game is simple just pop the CD into your CD drive and the Auto-run menu will appear. If it doesn?t go to your start button on the task bar then click Run. A dialogue box will appear and type in d:\autorun and hit the return (if d is not the correct letter for your CD drive replace it with the correct letter). Now all you do is follow the instructions until you have the game loaded.
Now the fun begins! You do not have to play in the Premier Division. You can in fact play any of the divisions...
...So the FA Cup final will be held at the Millenium stadium in Cardiff for the next three years while Wembley is being redeveloped, but for all you English Premiership fans there is no need to worry , the Millenium stadium is a much better stadium than Wembley is at the moment , it gives every spectator a superb view where ever you are seated and an atmosphere that rivals Wembley. So which ever teams fans get to the final come down to Cardiff for an experience you will never forget. We will always keep a welcome in the hillsides....

Review of Millenium stadium - FA Cup final
Advantages: Fantastic Game Of Football Disadvantages: Well Can't Think Of Anything Unless Manchester United Lossing!
...Fantastic game of football and was finally won by Arsenal on penalties for the first time in Fa Cup history after the match ended 0-0 after extra time and a match that was totally dominated by Manchester United.
Jens Lehmann the Arsenal & Germany goalkeeper was the hero after he saved Paul Scholes crucial pentaly.
Manchester United were in total control of the match dominating most of the match but could'nt beat Jens Lehmann who was in fantastic form for Asenal he saved somehow from Paul Scholes and then pulled the double of him by saving his penalty.
Van Nistelrooy, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Roy Keane all scored from the spot kick but they could'nt stop any of Arsenal's penalties as Lauren, Ljungberg, Robin Van Persie and Ashley Cole all scored from the spot kick for Arsenal before Patrick Viera scored the deciding...
Advantages: Didier Drogba's Goal, FA Cup Champions at the new Wembley Disadvantages: BORING GAME!
...Well, well, well, Yet again I am review another Chelsea DVD and instead of my last one on the Carling Cup Final 2007, this is on the Fa Cup 2007 and Yet again!, the blues won, this time triumphanting over the already crowned Champions England, Manchester United(booo)
As a result, this was a very satisfying result even though I am sure that only Chelsea fans enjoyed the game because for a neutral, this game was probably the worst of the season, but in view, it was one of the best because Chelsea were the first team to win the FA Cup at the new Wembley.
Again, as with the Carling Cup DVD, this DVD shows the whole match and includes that wonderful goal by Didier Drogba!
There are two discs in this limited edition DVD and the first shows the blues road to wembley from the first against Maccelsfield Town, to the Semi-Final against...
Advantages: A competition where luck and chance are just as likely to help you as skill and conditioning Disadvantages: What disadvantages?
...The F.A cup is as exciting now as it has ever been. Because of the gulf between the premiership and the other leagues in England, the smaller clubs get just as much if not more pleasure when one of these giants turns up.
I support Portsmouth, an ever present struggler in division 1. They never really get anywhere, but the cup gives the potential and hope as brief as it usually is, to see some of the greatest players in the world on my own doorstep. I am sure Macclesfield were over the moon when Di canio and cole turned up earlier this season.
The cup also can give welcome monetary subsodies and incentives as i am sure York city and similar teams will be happy to testify.
In what other competition would you find non and lower league teams getting the opportunity to give a top team a good old run for their money?
When we...
Advantages: solid build, stable, quiet, easy to install, no problems so far Disadvantages: mic preamps need more gain - but not a major issue
...I've had the Edirol FA-101 for over eighteen months and it's been performing well. So I can recommend it as a good buy. But you may like to note the following:
1. The mic preamps could do with a bit more gain on them. I use AKG C1000S condenser mics for recording into Adobe Audition and I keep having to 'Normalize' my recordings because the mic preamps aren't providing enough poke. It's not a big deal. But you should know about it.
2. You cannot power this device from a 4-pin Firewire cable. Bus power is only available from a 6-pin Firewire cable. So laptop users with only a 4-pin interface will have to use the supplied power transformer. I would recommend mains power anyway because in my experience many of the problems that people have with bus-powered units (Firewire or USB) are caused by not enough power being available from...

Review of Edirol FA-101
Advantages: great cup competition, traditional, Small teams can beat the biggest teams Disadvantages: semi finals at Wembley? not good idea -should only be final!
...The Fa Cup is the oldest football competition and is steeped in history. It is such a great tradition in English football and is run by the FA (Football Association) in England. The first Fa Cup final was all the way back in the 1871-72 season. The reason why the Fa cup is so special is because it involves clubs of all standards including non-league clubs. This allows meetings of top teams against so called 'giant killers' who are the lower league teams.
The Fa Cup is a knockout tournament with ties for each round drawn at random. There are no seeds so this means any teams left in the draw at any stage can draw any team. The home team is drawn first and the away team second.
If the resulting game is drawn by the two teams, there is a replay (at the Ground for the team away in first tie) with extra time and penalties used to...
