...Being a great fan of Zelda games, I'm always looking for a Role Playing Game that will match up to the Legend of Zelda. In fable, I found one that I think comes about as close to being as good as the Zelda series as possible. In Fable, You follow the story of a young hero and the chooses of good or evil laid out in front of him, the great thing about this game is the fact that you can actually shape the way the game is played by following either the path of good or turning to the path of evil - the game itself reacts to the actions you take as your character. The storyline to this games is of standard length and if you stick to just this mission's the game can be finished quite quickly, however, as with most great RPG's the real fun of the game is to be had in just exploring the vast world in which it's set and completing mini missions... Advantages: Great graphics, bonus missions, personality changeable

...Fable is brilliant game, with stunning scenerys and many different missions. You can also, to some extent, determine your fate. The story starts with a light-hearted theme. Your first mission is to buy your sister a birthday presant. As to not ruin the story, you have to move out, train to be a hero and complete many missions. There is not much of a main storyline to this game, which is disappointing, but this is because there are so many side missions. There is also a choice of many upgrades, such as magical powers, strength and skill. This gives you the choice to be a champion swordsman, bowman or magician. Of course, there are problems with this game. Firstly it's very short, so short that it makes you wonder if you have really got your moneys worth. Secondly, no matter how evil your character becomes, he will still be allowed... Read review

...As an avid rpg fan I must admit that I have been disappointed with the lack of decent games in this genre for the Xbox. KOTOR 1&2 aside, I have often found myself regretting exchanging my PS2 for an Xbox, having witnessed a bumper crop of rpgs going to Sony's console. As such, it was with much anticipation that I awaited the release of Fable, the latest creation from Peter Molyneux, who's previous brain child's have included the ambitious 'Black and White' and 'Populous'. If you are interested in purchasing Fable, you will have almost undoubtedly heard some of the hype surrounding this game at one time or another, during which both fact and fiction seemed to mire together like mud and water, clogging the view of potential consumers.
