...I have been using this face cream for quite a well now. I started to use it when i was in a car accident and i have quite a large scar in between my eyes. It's shaped like a backward L. For a year or two i kept putting on loads of make up to cover the scar. But i noticed this face cream and started using it twice a day. The redness in my scar has started to fade. The scar is really not noticeable now. I find the cream very reasonable. It's not too oily and goes on really easy. It has totally given me the confidence to not wear make-up and the scar has totally faded. The cream didn't irritate my skin, it made it feel soft and full of life again. The scar in between my eyes was quite sensitive but it ain't now thanks to Bio-oil. The product is great value for money and you can get it from most stores....

8 hour cream - not really the best thing for your face

Advantages: great if you intend to milk cows
Disadvantages: smell, balmy-thickness, terrible under makeup, better as lip balm

...I know a lot of people will disagree with this review, but having worked for Elizabeth Arden (amongst other beauty houses) I feel that the balm-like thickness, stickyness and smell of the 8 hour cream is probably not the best thing to put on your face for normal everyday use. I have seen it's benefits used in the short-term for severely dry or damaged skin, but for the normal, oily, or sensitive skins, I wouldn't recommend it for continued use. It's lovely for the hands, feet, elbows and other dry skin areas, don't forget that this product spawned from the idea of farmers softening cow udders from becoming chapped from prolonged use, and as most of us don't have faces that go through the rigors of cow udders being milked, it's probably not the best idea to use this on your face everyday if you have normal or sensitive skin as it's far...

...provides a nice base for make up. Some of the reviews have said that its too thick but I haven't found this - as you need to rub the cream on your hand until its gone clear before applying. The scent is inoffensive & very light - I've used creams like decleor before which has a strong scent but personally I don't like that & I don't feel like something with a heavy scent can be good for your skin. If you are looking to get this crème I would suggest going on the crème de la mer website & finding a place which stocks it near you & asking for a sample to use. A sample size should last for at least a week & it'll give you an idea what it can do for your skin as it is a lot of money to pay for a face cream. Failing that then buy a sample on ebay - although not ideal - you'll get a sample for less than £5 and spending that is better than...

Bio-Oil: Good Replacement for a Night Cream!

Rub that cream all over my face!

...A while back now I was given this Guinot Gentle Face Exfoliating Cream as a freebie from a friend who was using me as a guinea pig for her work as a beautician, I generally do not go in for all the fancy creams, lotions and potions designed to make us beautiful but what the hell, it was free. Exfoliating is a process that gets rid of dead skin, prevents pores from becoming clogged and generally makes you feel much cleaner than washing with soap and water alone, again this was not something I had really gone in for before now as I have always been fairly happy with my skin but after using this stuff it is something I regularly do now. So does this cream work? Well yeah it seems to, my skin felt very soft and smooth after using this and I could definitely tell the difference myself and the evidence from the before and after swabs...

...Not having money to burn, i bought a couple of sample pots from a friend of this face cream. They cost me £15 for the tiniest of pots, but i had checked them out beforehand on ebay and that was the going rate. When i opened the pot, the first thing that hit me that it was a solid block of moisture, rather than a creme that you could easily get out with your fingertip. Only when i used very warm fingers would it coat my fingertips. It was a pure white cream that smelled strangely of nivea. However, it didnt have the same texture and thickeness of nivea. The next battle is to get it on your face, well the idea is that you warm your fingerips and gently rub them together to disperse the cream across the pads of your fingers. Can I justify £75 on a face cream?

...Well in a word YES... I never thought I would be one of those mugs who spent over £30 on a face cream, as in my opinion anything over this was a con, but boy was i wrong. I have always had an oily/combination skin that breaks out really easily and when I got to 30 thought I had to start using an anti-ageing cream. Well everything I bought over the years, and I have tried them all from Clarins to Cinique, has been far to heavy for an oilier skin type - even the ones that claim to be just for that! And then - the moment finally arrived - an Elemis kit from QVC provided a 15ml sample of this so called Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, I tried it with my usual doubts, but to my suprise this cream was totally different to anything else I had ever tried! ...This cream comes in a tube and initially seems quite expensive (when I bought my last tube it cost £17). It states that it is for use on chapped or weather burned skin ? basically for use anywhere on the body. It is a brilliant lip salve ? it may seem expensive but I can?t remember the last time I bought a tube ? it must be at least 2 years ago. The cream never goes off and lasts for ages as you only need to use the tiniest amount each time. Another thing it is very good for is when you have a sore red nose during a cold. It soothes and fixes dry skin extremely quickly and in my mind is great value for money....
