Mannheim?s ten-year old already world-weary son is described as a highly intelligent, asthma-suffering cynic and as a reader there is a great empathy towards this lonely, neglected child. However, I became really disappointed when I encountered the novels villain. The supposed anarchist Corky Laputa (aren?t these name just nuts!) is poorly realised by Koontz. Although obviously hugely important to the story he gets little in the way of ?airtime?. His actions and nature is explained away by the fact he loves chaos and there is no attempt by Koontz to provide an insight into his motives and history. ...I watched the film and vaguely remembered it when it first came out in the cinema’s, my brother had been to see it and was ver impressed. After watching it myself I could understand why Rapper ‘Puff’ Daddy wanted to re-act one of the scenes in one of his videos. Being a fan of his, I guessed the correct scenes he acted out. Face Off starred the impressible Nicolas Cage and John Trovalta, the action packed film was gripping all the way through, though the story line was a little over exaggerated with the two having to swap each other’s faces. Come on, that is a little to much. It was full of action and with light humour it worth the watch. ...My apologies to those that are fed up of Dean Koontz reviews but having read "The Face" I thought I'd add my review to those that have already been written. If I duplicate any of the thoughts or parts of the story then consider it as flattery as sometimes you just can't improve on what has already been written. Advantages: The author successfully keeps the truth from the reader for most of the book.
Disadvantages: Everything else; its boring, the characters are weak, it wasn't pleasant reading.

THE FACE OF EVIL ?

Advantages: Super film - action packed til the last.
Disadvantages: Under 18s should not view.

...I have just watched this movie for the third time, and it's an epic. Starring John Travolta and Nicholas Cage, the "good guy, bad guy" theme throughout the film is convincing, and what starts looking like any other shoot em up cop film actually turns into a very interesting twist of events, all improbable, although all only just beyond the realms of possibility with medical science advancing as it is, and altogether a roller coaster of emotions, impossible situations, and with a running theme of evil versus good. bio-oil face cream

Advantages: helps cover scars etc

...I have been using this face cream for quite a well now. I started to use it when i was in a car accident and i have quite a large scar in between my eyes. It's shaped like a backward L. For a year or two i kept putting on loads of make up to cover the scar. But i noticed this face cream and started using it twice a day. The redness in my scar has started to fade. The scar is really not noticeable now. I find the cream very reasonable. It's not too oily and goes on really easy. It has totally given me the confidence to not wear make-up and the scar has totally faded. The cream didn't irritate my skin, it made it feel soft and full of life again. The scar in between my eyes was quite sensitive but it ain't now thanks to Bio-oil. The product is great value for money and you can get it from most stores....
