I do not intend to waffle on for ages about the history and development of Facebook but there are a few facts and bits of information that are interesting to know to put this review into context. Advantages: Keep in touch with family and friends you may not see all the time
Disadvantages: Strangers may try to add you, can be boring

...they must 'accept' in order to be added to their friends list. Each user can set their own privacy settings, for example you can set your photo's so that they can only be viewed by the people in your friends list. Each profile has a wall. This is basically the home screen of the profile page where friends can leave comments and messages, these can also be viewed by other friends of the user. Users can also upload photo's of their friends and family and 'tag' them in the pictures therefore adding them to the users photos. Facebook on mobile phones has been very popular recently, especially since the launch of smart phones. This allows the user to view a condensed version on their phone, therefore boosting popularity and usage of the website as people are accessing it on the go. Advantages: Wastes time, keep in touch with old friends, be creative
Disadvantages: Well...waste TOO much time!

...options such as ?at home? or ?at work??or just get creative and come up with something witty and perhaps even bizarre that?ll get people intrigued. You?ll be interested to know who exactly uses Facebook?people have added me that I went to primary school with and not spoken to them since?I?ll probably never speak to them again, but at least it?s nice to know they?re still alive and well and can always see who?s ?tagged? them in a photo from a night out! So, some people may see it as a possible breeding ground for stalkers. That?s rubbish, as they can?t see anything about you until you accept them as a friend, and if you get lured into it, you can always report them! Annoying aspects such as bands that you?ve never heard of that add you on Myspace aren?t here?yet (I?m worryingly awaiting the time when they?re allowed on it) Go on, join...
