Disadvantages: Expensive outlay, unfamiliar brand but this is NOT a problem!

...is not overly efficient but then what dryer is! It dries my clothes quickly and with the machine being a condenser drier rather than a traditional vented one, you can heat your room up at the same time! A typical load would take around 50 minutes to dry compared to over 90 on my old machine. Again this is a feature that is useful in a hurry but nothing beats hanging your clothes up to dry. Don't waste energy unless you really need to! Final Thoughts You are probably sat there now thinking this looks and sounds like a good machine but why would I choose Fagor? Who are they and where do they come from? Well they are infact a brand of the Mondragon cooperative from Spain and have been around for some time. This is not my first foray into Fagor goods and I purchased a ceramic hob and oven for my parents house which have been going strong...

Happy Hobs!!

Advantages: Works very well, fairly inexpensive, easy to use
Disadvantages: Bit runny

...A couple of summer's ago, my husband gutted our old kitchen and put me in a nice new one with all the mod cons, including my new halogen hob! He told me I needed to be careful when cleaning it and the maufacturer's instruction for cleaning recommended Hob Brite, by Homecare. I tootled off to Tesco and found it very easily, in with the rest of the household cleaning products. It cost at the time about £1.25 but it's since gone up in price a little and the last bottle I bought cost me £1.39 from Sainsbury's - the bottle contains 300ml, and to my knowledge does not come in any different sizes. The first time I used my new hob I'd cooked us all a spaghetti bolognese and there were a few splashes of sauce sprinkled over the hob. I left the hob to cool down before I attempted to clean it, as directed on the bottle's instructions...

Sparkly Hobs

Advantages: good results, good price

...Recently I just bought a ceramic hob cooker because previously I never really worried too much about spillages around the cooker but now with the shiny black surface dirt starts to show up more easily. I love my cooker and being a huge pasta lover and loving my sauces etc this means that there are going to be spillages whether it's tomato sauce stains, oil after frying these all make a mess if not cleaned quick so this is why I looked into products for cleaning the hob and I found Hob Brite. I have never really heard of many big brands doing cleaning products for the hob. I know there are these cleaning wipe things but to me these aren't reliable although I haven't heard of Homecare who make Hob Brite. I haven't heard of them but I certainly wouldn't forget to recommend if I ever come to the subject of discussing hobs...

A good job for the hob

I'd owned an electric cooker some years earlier, and I'd always used Jif (as it was called then) to clean the hob. keep your hob shiny and brite!

Advantages: Hob brite last's ages

...Hob brite is a cream cleaner with conditioners, for ceramic and halogen hobs. I've been using this for the past two years and found it to be very good, Hob brite is recommended by belling,creda,neff,tricity bendix, zanussi,rangemaster, beaumatic, stoves and De Dietrich. It's very easy to use, pour a small amount on a cloth or tissue, don't over do it you really do only need a small amount, you'll be there for hours rinsing otherwise. Wipe glass lightly and rinse. I use a non-scratch scourer to get the burnt on bits off, Hob brite recommend you use the homecare razor scraper, unfortunately I lost mine! Do not use on a hot hob, It dries intantly, I use it on a cold hob and have found it works better this way. Hob Brite contains- Less than 30% inert meneral filler Less than 5% none ionic surfactant food grade acid...

What can I say about a gas hob?

Advantages: Lights first time. Powerful wok burner, easy to clean

...Well, having reviewed our new oven and whilst waiting for the new product dept at Ciao to set up a link so I can praise the company we bought it from I thought I'd do the hob as well. It's a Neff (to match the oven) T2164 and cost £131.49 Not quite the bottom end of the Neff range. The Neff name is synonymous with quality, our last hob was still working well apart from a little dificulty in lighting it largely due to a build up of muck, after 16 years. The new version is black enamel and looks too clean to use in comparison to our old one. It fitted right into the hole left by the old one, which was nice! (Another good reason for buying the same make again) The knobs are arranged along the right hand side, easily accesible and out of reach if you have small children, a useful feature as this hob does NOT feature a flame failure...

HobNobbing with the Best...

Advantages: Harmony of chocolate & biscuit

...What do you mean no one's written anything about HobNobs yet?! You selfish pricks... well I oughta... No. Civility has value yet. Because when you eat HobNobs, you're hobnobbing with the best. It would perhaps be helpful for the uninitiated if I described what a HobNob looks like. Unfortunately, upon the devouring of every crumb in two HobNobs (Milk Chocolate) bottles, there is zilch to refer to. So kindly excuse this recall from a not-so-distant memory... Each biscuit/cookie has a diameter of about 5cm so it's really quite a substantial piece of confectionery to place at one go into an un-Julia Roberts mouth. While one side of the cookie is covered with smooth dark chocolate (either plain chocolate or milk chocolate), the really interesting part is the other side... where you can nobbly bits of oats poking out from the surface...
