...One day when I was having lunch at Yo Sushi I got a rather frantic phone call from my partner. The washer dryer had decided to spark, smoke and set itself alight during the drying process. Once the electric was isolated the fire went out, however I was far from impressed. I didn't want to even chance getting this fixed so off I went on a search for a new washer dryer. It can be a bit of a minefield out there in kitchen appliance land with many stores offering deals on 100's of machines! Eventually I discovered a local electrical warehouse and called them direct, they soon presented a number of machines that would be suitable and at a good budget. Environmentally Friendly Dishwasher tablets

Advantages: Works as well as leading brands, cheaper

I'm a bit of a spend thrift so was looking through the Sainsbury's aisles for some cheap dishwasher tablets. I had run out and didn't want to buy a lot of tablets until I was able to go and buy some tablets at wholesale prices. I noticed this at the top of the shelf because it was on offer. 25 tablets for £1.99, saving a 1/3 off the normal price. Cleans, freshens and maintains your washer

Advantages: Easy to use, very effective
Disadvantages: Takes around 2 ½ hours. Stainless steel drums only.

..."Dr. Beckmann Service-it" is a liquid washing machine cleaner that claims to "clean, freshen and maintain against breakdowns and malfunctions". The makers recommend that it be used every 3 months (or 40 washes) in order to rid your washing machine drum, pipes, seals, etc. of any build-up of detergent residue and grime. Also, by cleaning, to dispel any odours, and maintain efficiency by eliminating any build-up of limescale on the heating elements. A washing machine I'm allowed to ram stuff in!

Advantages: Inexpensive, realistic, entertaining, neutral colours

He has since taken a great interest in the washing machine at home and was seizing every available opportunity to "wash" his things (be they his cookie monster, dirty socks or half full cup of milk). High pressure washer

Advantages: Handy, cleans well, high power, easy to use
Disadvantages: Maybe length of hose, can get cheaper versions

The Karcher K090 Pressure Washer helps me easily get my car in the sparkling condition I like it easily and cheaply. Fare enough you have to put the extra time in cleaning but if you do it your self then you know what standard it will be done to and take pride in the finished article. I have an issue with the mechanical brush drive through washers I don’t believe they can do your paint work any good at all, have you seen the bristles on the spinner brushes, they are nylon and spin at a far rate, I am sure this can ware down your paint after a while. The Best Pressure Washer Around!

Advantages: Powerful enough for pretty much any job!
