Meet the family - S is for Schitt
Advantages: funny if you have a warped sense of humour like me
Disadvantages: might offend some
.... After being married 15 years, Jack and Noe Schitt divorced.
Noe Schitt later married Mr. Sherlock, and
because her kids were living
With them she wanted to keep her previous name.
She was known as Noe Schitt-Sherlock.
Dip Schitt married Loda Schitt and they produced a nervous son, Chicken Schitt.
Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt were inseparable throughout childhood and subsequently married the Happens brothers in a dual ceremony. The wedding announcement in the newspaper announced the Schitt-Happens wedding.
The Schitt-Happens children were Dawg, Byrd, and Hoarse. Bull Schitt, the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He recently returned from Italy with his new bride, Piza Schitt.
So now if someone says, "You don't know Jack Schitt", you can correct them. Not only do you know Jack, you know his whole family!

Family Fortunes!
Advantages: A great read
Disadvantages: none
...to become a family and Sophie and Louie plan their wedding.
It 's the sort of book that is quite funny in places but also very thought provoking as the strength of the couple's relationship is tested in many ways - not least when Louie suddenly discovers that he has a previously unknown about grown up son from a former relationship! It's the sort of story that, if you have been in the situation of forming a new family, that it's very easy to identify with.
Much of the story is taken up with Sophie's worry that perhaps things are moving a bit too fast. On the one hand she is really excited about the wedding but then she worries that she and Louie hardly know each others and it's only the circumstances that they have found themsewlves in that has made them so close. She is particularly worried when Louie's discovery about his son causes...

Keeping me in touch with my Family and Friends
Advantages: Unlimited calls between 4 or 6 vodafone numbers (max 60mins call)
Disadvantages: Only between vodafone numbers, no reminders if on PAYG
...Vodafone Family (& Friends) is a nice little add-on available for both contract and Pay As You Go users of the network. For just £5 a month unlimited calls can be made between up to four different Vodafone numbers, and if bigger group is required then there is the option to increase the group to six for £7 a month. I?ve been using the family option for a couple of years now, starting on Pay As You Go (PAYG) and then continuing when I moved on to contract.
Set up on PAYG is a little convoluted, it took me quite some time to get through the options and the phone needs £5 of credit on it before the group can be created (£7 for a group of 6). It?s a good idea to write down the numbers you want to add to the group before calling 2345 and working your way through the options. As soon as the group is created £5 (or £7) is deducted from your...

What a family!
Advantages: Everything.
Disadvantages: None.
...This review is of the complete first series of My Family, on DVD. Copyrighted BBC 1996, it holds the rating of Parental Guidance (PG) due to mild swearing and references to sexual activities or similar.
The main storyline is around the Harper family, who live in suburban London. They are as follows:
Ben Harper (Robert Lindsay): the dad, and a dentist. Just likes to be left alone to watch the TV, read the paper and drink beer (but in no particular order). Thinks that he is the vice of reason in the family, but is constantly being proved otherwise.
Susan Harper (Zoe Wanamaker): the mum, who is a tour guide and (she thinks) a gourmet cook. Wants to be involved in her children's lives, but is constantly reminded by their actions that she is unable to reason with them on their level.
Nick Harper (Kris Marshall): the eldest son...

For all the family
Advantages: fun fun fun
Disadvantages: getting hold of one
...fun.
I think that what has made this a winner with our family is the way you interact with it. The remotes are motion sensitive. It depends on the game as to how you use the remote, it could be you shoot with the wireless remote or use it like a bat or racquet, it depends totally on what game, but they always tend to be fun. It is the most physical of all the consoles our family has ever owned, I think that can only be a good thing.
As well as playing Wii games from disks and GameCube games you can also download virtual classic console games all the retro classics. Mii?s are the Nintendo characters you can create these as well, not only that but you can also surf the internet through your Wii. You have to pay for the games and Nintendo have their own currency for this, called Wii points, you can buy top up cards from shops that sell...

Meet the stone family
Advantages: Easy to watch and an array of well known actors
Disadvantages: It isn't the most interesting film you'll ever watch
...I bought the family stone for one reason only and that was because the cast was a mix of well known faces! I know I should look for more than this but, being a Sex and the City fan I am always keen to watch anything with Sarah Jessica Parker in! Along with a variety of others who I have seen in other films and enjoyed then it was surely to be a winner wasn't it?
Released in 2005 the film was written and directed by Thomas Bezucha.
The story:
The stone family are very close knit and celebrate Christmas together every year. When the favourite son, Everett, decides to bring his girlfriend Meredith with him to meet his family it doesn't quite go to plan! He has plans to ask his mother for his grandmother's ring to propose to Meredith but, his family pretty much take an instant dislike to her and find Meredith to be too uptight...

Fuji FinePix S1500. Descendant of the S1000fd
Advantages: Huge zoom, Focus Tracking, Easy to use
Disadvantages: Bulky, A little slow, AA batteries are a bit inconvenient
...The Fuji FinePix S1500 is the latest incarnation of the very successful FinePix S1000fd. It is very SLR-like in appearance and the added bulk of the battery-holder/grip does give it an assured feeling in your hands. Of course, this can be a disadvantage, and if you want a camera that you can just slip in-and-out of your pocket, then maybe a slimmer compact should be considered.
The 12x optical zoom is excellent and it equates to 33-396mm in 35mm terms - and if this isn't enough, there is a 5.7x digital zoom feature too.
The menus are friendly and easy to navigate, and there are helpful explanatory prompts that appear on thew LCD screen when the mode-dial setting is changed.
There are 14 preset scenes to choose from, each setting the camera to its optimum settings for the given scenario, but on top of this, the camera can be used...

iPhone 3G S will have you stunned!
Advantages: It's advanced technology and huge variety of features.
Disadvantages: The very low and quickly decreasing battery life.
...The iPhone 3G S is an amazing piece of palm-sized technology. It has everything you could possibly ask of a mobile phone (except Blue-tooth data exchange), and much more! I was shocked at it's ease of use considering its a smart phone! However, although it does have a few new features from its predecessor, the iPhone 3G, but it didn't seem as much of a technological breakthrough considering the transition of the original iPhone to the iPhone 3G, which is one of the reasons I gave it 4, and not 5 stars.
First of all, there is the biggest thing about the iPhone 3G S, is the addition if the S to the title. It stands for speed, and they're not lying. I compared my friends iPhone 3G to my iPhone 3G S, and I noticed how much quicker internet pages load, applications load up, and even basic things like sending a text (which may have been due...

The demise of the royle family
Advantages: fantastic humour and great banter
Disadvantages: the end is nigh
...If for some reason you have never head of the Royle family, (and I don't mean the posh ones living in London in that big house? ) then I will have to give a brief rundown of the series:
It all started in 1998, 21 episodes running for 3 series and finishing in 2000--involving the lives of a small family living in a council house somewhere near Manchester.
The entire series being filmed inside the house was almost like a fly on the wall documentary, watching the day to day lives of a working class family living on the bread line?as the family spend most of their days sat watching the television?
** The main characters throughout the series were:
* Jim Royle, (played by Ricky Tomlinson), is the head of the household and a rather lazy slob whose life revolves around the television and the local pub called the Feathers...
