MY FRIEND
Review of Tomy Thomas the Tank Engine by
redeyes22
Advantages: good fun
Disadvantages: too many batteries
...A very warm welcome to all Thomas friends!!!
I've got a little boy age 5 who is very fascinated by Thomas the tanks engine and all his friends (made by Tommy).
***********How it started. **********
About 4 years ago my husband and me was visiting my husband nephew. They have some Thomas toys for sale (and if I remember right it was Thomas medium set and some trains). Therefore, we sad why not and we did.
In addition, since that day my son is just mad on anything to do with Thomas the tank engine and his friends. He plays with toys, ride Thomas bike, and scooter, wears only Thomas cloths, eats from Thomas plate with Thomas knife, fork and spoon. But the biggest adventure with Thomas for our family is to spend our holidays around steam railway where Thomas visits (what normal cold "days out with Thomas the tank engine and his friends...

Thomas's Magical Movie Adventure
Review of Thomas And The Magic Railroad DVD by
kazz116
Advantages: Lots of fun for those little ones to watch. Live action and well liked annimation.
Disadvantages: None that I can think of, or maybe watching it over and over and over again
...We are a family with a son of two and a half who loves Thomas the Tank Engine. He wants to watch him frequently on children's television.
So we thought that we would buy the first movie that Thomas made. We have bought ot on DVD for our son Joshua, It has kept him amused for hours. It's the only time he's quiet and we can't get a peep out of him he gets so engrosed in the movie. After he watched the movie once he wants it on again and again.
It a movie that will enchant the whole family as you meet all the friends of Thomas The Tank Engine.
The movie is about an island called the island of sodor, the land of talking trains which has been a place of magic. Then Diesel 10 and his sidekicks cause trouble for everyone

Calling all Thomas fans
Review of thomasthetankengine.com by
poet831
Advantages: lots of fun for little ones, nicely set out site, bright and colourful
Disadvantages: slow to load
...Toot! Toot!
Is there anyone out there who has not been a Thomas The Tank Engine fan at some point in their life? I grew up with Thomas, courtesy of the story books by Reverend Awdry, who I was able to meet some two and a half decades ago. Then came the videos for the kids and Shining Time station tv show, with Ringo Starr reading the stories to begin with and being replaced by Geroge Carlin later on. Thomas has gained fans with each new generation. Now, his movie is out, and the website has taken him into cyberspace.
It's quite a neat little site, very colourful but takes a little while to load. There are little activities for pre-schoolers to play online - like Bertie picking up passengers on a bus route, and the child has to manouvre him around the route. Or they can identify peices of James, and when they have him finished he...

Here comes thomas again
Review of Thomas the Tank Engine by
moonlightmist
Advantages: A brillant programme for kids.
Disadvantages: none.
...Thomas the tank engine is a very good series that is on Nick jnr. It is all about a little blue train called Thomas, who lives on a island railway, With all his friends.
The stories are all about Thomas and all the other engines and his other friends and what they get up to. There is Grumpy Gordon, who is the big fast engine. There is Henry and Bill and Ben(the troublesome twins). Also their is Harold the helicopter and Bertie the bus, Daisy and Douglas. The railway is run by a man called The Fat Controller.
This is a programme for many children. My one year old and my 4 year old both love this programme so much. So if you have any kids that like trains then they will more than likely like this programme. So let them watch as it will keep them occupied why it is on....

Drawing adwenture with Thomas
Review of Tomy Thomas the Tank Engine Megasketcher by
redeyes22
Advantages: no marks on the wall
Disadvantages: none jet
...Engine himself.
It is a magnetic drawing board in shape and color of Thomas the tank engine. And it's not very heavy so your toddler can lift it up easy.
In the middle you will find a gray plastic surface to draw. It comes with a yellow pen with thick and thin writing points. In the bottom of the drawing board you will find as well two little holes with two engine stamps -Thomas and Percy. These stamps are in yellow color. The eraser is located on the right side of the board and is decorated with a picture of Harold the helicopter. In the top right corner you will find a yellow track roller.
Two "stampers", one featuring Thomas and one featuring Percy, give children the chance to recreate the images of their favorite engines while a roller-stamp, when pulled along the screen, leaves the mark of a railway track. The double ended pen allows...

Tomy Thomas the Tank Engine Starter Set
Review of Tomy Thomas the Tank Engine Starter Set by
tabsman
Advantages: Great for small hands
Disadvantages: So many to collect
...This is where it all started. The starter set was my son's first exposure to Thomas the Tank Engine - First things first - there are at least 5 different styles of Thomas toys - none which interact with each other so sticking to 1 type would be recommended.
This is a My First Thomas range which are ideal for children aged 1 and above. The toys are brightly coloured and accurate copies of your favourite Thomas characters. There are plenty to collect! The trains all have non marking rubber wheels, are hard wearing, dishwasher safe and most importantly are battery free.
A great and affordable gift for a 1 plus year old boy - My son, now 2 cannot get enough of his collection - he has 35+!!!!
You can also purchase a track which the trains will interact with.
So to conclude - an ideal purchase for any young boy...

My very first Thomas the tank engine set
Review of Tomy Thomas the Tank Engine by
princesssoapy
Advantages: Very sturdy unbreakable toys., Quite inexpensive., Easy to clean.
Disadvantages: none that i can think of
...Before my son Callum's first birthday, he is now 2 1/2 years old, we bought him the My First Thomas range of toys. These are chunky plastic engines and carriages etc. They are unbreakable, Callum throws them so hard sometimes and also they have been stood on and not broken too!
The prices start at £4.99 and i think they are well worth every penny, seeing as he still has them all in working order.
My son has all the main engines, Thomas Edward, Henry, Gordon,James and Percy and also he has Toby the tram engine and Harold the helicopter as well as a troublesome truck, Annie and Clarabel (Thomas's Carriages) an express coach, Bertie the Bus and a lorry. There is such a good range and you can even get a nice plastic track for Thomas and his friends to go along.
You can obtain all these toys from mothercare, Toys R us, Tesco...

Still the best
Review of Thomas the Tank Engine by
sarah14
Advantages: easy to follow storylines
Disadvantages: none
...It was great to see Thomas the Tank Engine making a return to our teles, I can remember watching them the first time around and enjoying them, now nickleodean have got their hands on it and reshowing them, giving my two young sons the chance to enjoy them.
they love following the adventures of Thomas and all his friends so much so that I have had to go and buy lots of the little die-cast figures for them to play with.
Thomas is showing every weekday at 12.00-12.30 on Nickleodean and is a must for all young children, It a bright eyecatching program which instantly draws the eye to the screen and the catching theme tune catches young childrens attention too, and it has good easy to follow storylines.
I really recomend this program to anyone with young children as it has great entertainment value....

Chuffed to see you Thomas.
Review of My First Thomas by
LouiseA
Advantages: Durable, colourful and collectable
Disadvantages: Your children will want them all!
...Essential equipment for Mums of little boys should read as follows:-
1) Washing Powder (industrial size and strength)
2) Megaphone (to get everyone’s attention)
3) Volume Control Button (and you thought rock
concerts were loud!)
4) Thomas The Tank Engine toys. (see below!)
Thomas the Tank engine has been a popular character for many years now, ever since the books by the Rev. W. Awdry were published , he has charmed little boys. The good Rev. originally created the characters in stories he told to his young son whilst he was recovering from an illness. The now grown-up Christopher Awdry has taken over the mantle of writing Thomas stories from his father and has seen their popularity soar.
In the 1980s Britt Allcroft started producing an appealing television series which forms the basis of many of today’s Thomas...

Poop Poop, little Thomas
Review of Thomas the Tank Engine by
polydeuces
Advantages: Excellent childrens programme, no sex or violence
Disadvantages: None
...Created by the Rev W Awdry over 50 years ago to entertain his son Christopher, Thomas the Tank Engine was created as a TV programme in 1987. The programme has always drawn closely on the books and retains their essential character.
The world where the Fat Controller’s railway is, is an island called Sodor. Here the engines share an engine shed where they rest at night following their individual adventures. The Fat Controller (aka Sir Topham Hat) tries to run a ‘good railway’ where the trains run on time and the passengers are comfortable. The problems come normally from the excessive pride or self importance of the engines who feel they don’t need guards or are superior to the trucks. Often the most important part of the engines day is to keep their nice paintwork clean.
The series has always been successful because...
