Dimplex convection heater with turbo fan

Advantages: Turbo Fan, secure wall mounting, switchable turbo fan
Disadvantages: Mechanical thermostat with turbo fan can be attention grabbing!

...One of the many heaters I tried was this Dimplex free standing/wall mounted convection heater with Fan Boost. I decided to try this after a returning my 4th failed Bionaire BCV3100 heater. The wall mounting arrangement was very affective in securely locking the heater to the wall using 3 simple hooks. The unit is very light weight. There are 2 switches on the side. A power On/Off switch and below that a Hi/Low switch. Below the switches there is a mechanical thermostat to further regulate the heater. On the front of the heater integrated into the turbo fan grill there is a switch to turn the turbo fan on or off. A nice feature is on a hot day you can run the turbo fan without any heat, this provides a cool draft from the heater although it is not as affective as a desktop fan though. Nikkai Heater

Advantages: Immediate warmth

...I bought this heater because my bedroom has two outside walls and as it's a downstairs extension one of those 'walls' is a patio door and so, especially in the winter I needed some extra warmth in my room. I went out and after looking around at a few different heaters I eventually decided on the Nikkai Electric heater. There were three reasons for my choice: 1. Id had the rectangular shaped heaters and found that although they did effectively heat up the room it took a while for you to get the full benefit of the heater, I hoped that this fan heater would be quicker at heating up the room. 2. There were two different heat settings: 350W and 700W. These would allow me to adjust the amount of heat I wanted from it depending on the weather, how long wed had the central heating on etc 3. finally!!...some heat!

It was founded by Helene Alexander in 1991 to share her life long passion for the subject. She has a collection of 3500 objects which are not all on show at the same time due to the fragility of many of the fans. It's housed in two adjoining skilfully restored Georgina houses on Royle Hill in the centre of Greenwich. Good value Air cooler/Heater

Advantages: Good heating and cooling performance
Disadvantages: Tacky design, easy to spill water.

...I bought this product last year, ready for those hot summer days. We had a few hot days and I was impressed with the performance of this product. It only took a little while before the room temperature was lower and the oscillation setting definately spread the cool air throughout the room. In the winter, last year, I also used this as a heater in our conservatory. It works really well and has several heat settings. Negetive points: I felt that the design made it look a bit tacky and it didn't blend in very well with the rest of the furniture. Also, it is not easy to move around when it is full of water - I have often spilt water from the container. In addition, when changing the water, it is quite easy to drip water from the filter. A Wave of Warmth

...It must have been the summer of 2003 when we had a heat wave. Suddenly we felt the need for a fan to at least move the warm air around. Apparently, the entire population must have felt the same as, having visited every electrical outlet around for miles, we were still fan-less. It was at that point ? sticky with heat and thoroughly frustrated ? that we decided that, no-matter what the weather was like, we would buy a fan as soon as the stores restocked. This we did ? twice! The first was simply a fan, the second a fan heater. DeLonghi is a make with which I am very familiar and which I often choose over other makes and this was the case with the fan heater. Having already purchased one of their convector heaters which I found excellent, I looked forward to the same satisfaction with this ? and I haven?t been disappointed...

...Three years ago I bought a heater for my kitchen as I could not afford to install another radiator. The heater cost approx £39 from Comet. The heater is white in colour with a grey dial and two heat switches on the front along with a red mains indicator lamp. The height is approx two feet and the width is 3 1/2 ft long. The heater is a convector syle electric heater where the heat circulates around the room from the top of the unit and the thermostat on the front (where you can adjust it to any temperature you like) monitors the room temperature and constantly switches on and off the heating elements keeping the room warm. On mornings it is very cold in the kitchen and with this heater it does not take long for the room to get hot. Sometimes it is so cold that I turn the switch up to max heat and forget to turn it back down again...

...Before writing this review I checked to see if any others had been written about this movie.I found that two had been written both of which gave it a less than positive review.That left me thinking whether I had watched the same movie, as I thought it was very well put together. The only negative thing I could say about the movie is that it is set against the world of baseball, which I know will not be everyones favourite setting for a film. However, I think that the baseball setting is irrelivant in one way,as it could just as well have been set in the world of any major sport. Kingavon Halogen Heater 1200 watts

I bought this heater when it had just started coming out and it cost me £14.99 (you could get them cheaper now) when you have the heater on it only uses about 4p an hour so you are saving a bit on your electricity. This halogen heater is 1200 watts and it is great youu have 3 buttons that operate the wattage one of which is also your on off switch and is one bar. The other 2 put it on 2 and the 3 bars but usually you only need it on 1 bar because it soon gets warm. There is a 4th button which if you press it it rotates the fire.
