A wooden farm.

...I have played with this farm (alongside a child) at a play centre and would like to tell you about it. . This farm is a wooden farm it comes with a thin wooden plywood base that is painted green to represent grass and has a blue area to represent water painted on in one of the corners. A few flowers are also painted on the green board as well as a path of stepping stones. . There are some farm buildings. The buildings are natural wood coloured with red roofs. There is a dog kennel, a windmill the sails do rotate. An open fronted wooden building with a few shelves this is stabling for the horses or shelter for the cows the chickens can roost on the shelves. ...I fancied going away for the weekend but didn't want to go far or spend a fortune, I didn't even want to spend £100 a night for a basic hotel so I searched for guest houses in the lake district as we don't live far from there and the countryside is lovely. I couldn't find any vacancies so I suggested a caravan to my husband, he agreed as we both think it's great for children to be outside and they love it. I search the Hoseasons website and we decided to go on Friday after school and work etc and stay until Monday as the children were off school then. We wanted a fairly basic site as we were going to take games to play at night and the netball post and maybe the swingball. After looking I came across Chapel Farm Caravan Park in Little Asby. ...As the summer holiday approaches I have been trying to think of different places to take my daughters for days out, especially looking for places that are not too costly. If you live in the Berkshire area and have younger children, an excellent place to visit is Bucklebury Farm. The farm is in the small village of Bucklebury which is probably about halfway between Reading and Newbury and is roughly six miles along the A4 from Junction 12 of the M4. There is a brown tourist signpost signalling where you leave the main road and then it is a couple of miles along some country lanes. There is quite a large free car park when you arrive. The farm is quite small but having said that is home to a host of different animals including four different breeds of deer. These are Sika, Fallow, Red and Axis deer. Disadvantages: Loud noise from the A1 and RAF planes

...for only a short time of about ten minutes, so if you have a long shower or if you are also showering your children, the light will suddenly go off. This may be very scary for children or people scared of the dark and you have to step out the shower, unlock and open the door and wave at the sensor until the light comes back on. The washing up sink is outside so if it rains you get wet, and there is only one so at busy times you will wait half an hour to wash up. The urinal for the gents is very low so small children can use it, a nice touch. We asked to stay in the field nearest the play area so our two year old son could wander over and play but we were told this was full. When we arrived we didn?t see a single tent in the field for five days, then one tent on the Saturday. The camping charge includes admission to the farm, so if...
