...MY STORY Christmas last year, I received the hardback copy of Growing Pains, and read it almost instantly! Taking me a few weeks, I enjoyed every word of the book, and was devastated when I reached the end! Then earlier this year, I heard that a paper-back copy of Billie's autobiography was in the process of being published. I 'ummed' and 'aahed' for quite a while, considering preordering it on Amazon. But I was unaware of the exact month it was to be released in the shops, so I just waited a while. Then I came across paperback Growing Pains in WHSmith mid-August, priced at £6.99. I didn't really want to pay that, so I decided to pick up a copy and have a quick 'flick'. Grow your own Vegetables!!

Advantages: Very useful and helpful information

Fast and Furious

Advantages: Plenty of action, nice effects, Vin Diesel, no need to think too hard.
Disadvantages: Not really any, unless you're expecting something that it's not.

...Last week, me and a friend decided to meet up and go to the cinema. After looking at the listings, the only thing we could come up with was Fast and Furious. I have not seen the earlier films in the franchise, but knew enough about them to know what to expect. Plenty of action, car chases, mindless fun, Vin Diesel, and brains left in the lobby. I was not disappointed, in fact it was better than I expected. The film starts with Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and others, including girlfriend Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) in Mexico, carrying out a hijack on a tanker road train. ...Stop and Grow, it's a great idea if it worked! The packaging is a bottle with brush, same set up as a nail varnish. The fluid is clear and smells really bad, a bit like nail varnish remover. This small bottle should last you as a little goes a long way and can be purchased from most chemists. The bottle costs around £3- £4. Each day you are meant to put a small amount on each nail and allow it to dry in. As its completely clear you wont be able to tell there's anything on your nails so suited for men too. Each time you put your fingers or nails in your mouth your met with a vile taste. In theory this is meant to help you stop biting your nails and give them a chance to grow and strengthen up. However I have bitten my nails since I can remember and I have tried this several times and it has never worked for me cause I eat through it...

...A dilemma for most parents is if, when, who by and how their children should be introduced to the "facts of life". For some it may be easier to allow their child to learn about "the birds and bees" at school, but there seems to be a bit of a postcode lottery as to how much your child will learn, and besides there is still the probability that there will be something that your child didn't understand. For these reasons it's best to be prepared for the day when you need to talk to your son/daughter about such things as periods, babies and yes, sex. Watch the pounds fall off with slim fast

Advantages: Cheap, delicious and convenient.
Disadvantages: You will have to buy new clothes to show off your new found figure

I have previously tried weight watchers and slimming world lost quite a bit of weight but I am the type of person that will eat all my daily points in one go or get bored of eating the same thing. I have never tried slim fast before so I decided to give it ago. I am going to be on the diet for 3 months and hope to drop a dress size or two. THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS

Advantages: Good effects, good sountrack
Disadvantages: Skethy plot, average cast, characters don't have enough personality

...I have very mixed feelings towards this film and I came out of the cinema not really knowing whether I loved or hated the film. I suppose I loved the Fast and the Furious because it was action packed, unpredictable and kept me in permanent suspense. Though I hated it because there wasn't any basic storyline or plot. And I've never seen a film that has no basic storyline or plot so did I genuinely hate the film or was I just simply scared of something different to a typical film? What the Fast and the Furious really has going in its favour is that it is total non-stop action, at 1hr 40 it doesn't feel stretched or too long and director Rob Cohen seems to excel in keeping the viewers attention throughout the film.
