Luxury from the Sofitel

Advantages: Gorgeous rooms, nice facilities and great location
Disadvantages: Price may be too much for those on a budget

...On a recent work trip to Paris I went to see a variety of hotels - in fact I saw quite a few of the same hotel chains including the Mercure, Novotel and Sofitel and from the Sofitel chain this was one of them; Sofitel Le Faubourg. The Hotel: The Sofitel Le Faubourg is a luxury hotel in the heart of the city centre. A four star hotel that has a variety of room types and an elegant style it has a range of amenities to suit every type of holiday maker. A comfortable stay in the Bastille

Advantages: Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced
Disadvantages: Difficult for access by car

Clicking on east presented eleven hotels, from which we chose, for no particular reason other than that it offered parking, the Ibis Paris Bastille Faubourg St Antoine on Rue Trousseau. This is the 11th district, the famous Marais district of Paris and, as you will gather from the name, not far from La Place de la Bastille. Formal elegance

Advantages: Elegant, upmarket and nice rooms
Disadvantages: Pricey and could be too formal for some

...I have recently been to Paris as many people who read a lot of my reviews will know and another hotel that I saw whilst there was the Sofitel Arc De Triomphe. This hotel was another one of my favourites due to the nice standard although I did prefer the sister hotel Sofitel Le Faubourg out of the two. The hotel: As I am sure is obvious by now from my opening statement the hotel is part of the Sofitel chain. It is classed as a 4 star luxury hotel and is certainly fair to say it is. The hotel is more of a classic luxury type rather than modern luxury by the way it is designed and the style of the rooms. Location: The hotel is located pretty close to the Arc De Triomphe which I'm sure is obvious by the name but, I thought it might be worth mentioning that this is indeed the case, as with so many hotels nowadays the name can...

Places to shop in Paris

Advantages: lots of areas to shop,
Disadvantages: but spread out and you need to know where to go

...nice for little shops too (i think it was called rue faubourg) All in all i really enjoyed my stay in paris and i hope this gives you an idea of where to shop in paris - but i would definitely advise to buy a metro ticket!!!...
