Feeder Echo Park

Advantages: All great quality - Quality not quantity
Disadvantages: Only 12 tracks, but otherwise none

...I would deffinatly not class my self as a big fan of Feeder, not because I do not like the style of music, but becasue they have never come into the limelight with a single that caught my attention. All this changed when I listend to the single 'Buck Rogers' from their album 'Echo Park'. The band have been around for a while now, but Echo Park is what really brought them nationwide fame. Feeder are perhaps a bit of a difficult band to class, mostly indie guitar, but on other tracks go more rock/nu-metal with louder sounds. For my personal preferance I do not like any Limp Bizkit/Korn, but will give anything from the Offspring to the Stereohonics to the Manics a listen. Bird Feeder

...I am always trying to encourage birds in to our garden. I find them a joy to watch and love having nature in my garden. I have many feeders in the garden including this one. I have found this to be the best one so far as it is nearly impossible for squirrels to gnaw into it and steel the food. It is a globe shape design and in the middle it has a wire tube in which you put the nuts or bird seed. The wire globe around the inner tube is just big enough for the small birds to fit through, to get to the food. It stops the larger birds such as the annoying pigeons or magpie's getting at the food as they are to big! Whilst the birds are feeding, they will feel safe as the wire globe around them will protect them against any predators such as the cats in our garden. This is such a great design as I feel that we are often not doing...

Disadvantages: still new, so hard to get hold of cheaply

Praise from a Feeder fan. Feeder all the way.

Advantages: Awesome in every single way.
Disadvantages: Nothing at all.

...Just to get this straight... I am a massive Feeder fan, and have followed them from the very start. I still love their tunes to date, therefore just proving how good Feeder's consistency is. This album is jampacked with all Feeder's best tracks, but there are some which I think may be missing, but the one's on here are still amazing. Tracks 1. Come Back Around. This track has a superb beat, with great guitar backing. The lyrics are excellent also and the chorus has an even more amazing guitar bits in it. 9/10. 2. Buck Rogers. I always remember this song from playing on Gran Turismo. I put it on repeat and left it on the whole time. The lyrics are strange, but in a good way. ...This Feeder?s debut album and was released in 1997 on the echo label. This album has all you need from an Indie/Rock band with great catchy songs and also darker songs (which are my favourites). Obviously people would choose ?High? or ?My perfect day? as their favourite tracks as they were both singles. However my favourite track is ?Descend? this is classic dark rock song which echo?s of nirvana without trying too it?s just a class song. ?Stereo world? is also a good song but on the whole this album flatters to deceive but is still worth a listen it?s also got the ?High? video on it which is a bonus....

THE NEW FEEDER

Advantages: Clever songs which have meanings
Disadvantages: After all the radio play buck rogers is getting alttle annoying!

...I have all four feeder albums and am craving more tracks where ever I can find them, even going to the extent of buying old singles for the B-sides. The new album echo park took a takes a few listens to discover what is really hidden in the deep depths of the tracks. My advice to anyone who buys this album is read the insert, the insert has all the lyrics to the songs and personnally i feel the songs have really deep meanings. The track called "under the weather" features some great guitar riffs and the lyrics remind me of the feeling you get the morning after a heavy drinking night on the town. Anyway enough about what the album means to me, the point I'm trying to make (badly) is that there will be one song atleast everyone can relate too, songs about broken relationships and hangovers, all in a students weekend I guess. Feeder Provide Food for Thought

Advantages: Catchy as ever
Disadvantages: Die-hard fans of the more acoustic Feeder may be disappointed

...We are the People is the first single and opening track off Feeder's 11th release, "Silent Cry". Immediately, anyone that has experienced the massive Feeder anthems from their 2005 album "Pushing the Senses" will notice that the band has come back much heavier - with more distorted guitars and less acoustics. That said, they have still managed to retain their catchy melodies and Grant Nicholas' vocals are spot-on as ever. This song is a perfect opener to the rest of the album, and is a definite must-buy for any Feeder fan. Alternatively, you could choose to buy the whole album, with eleven more superb and addictive tracks such as "Itsumo" and "Silent Cry". It retails at £8.99 at HMV and is released on the 16th of June 2008. Having listened to the album - i recommend waiting until the album is released, and buying...
