THB Hotel Felip - Porto Cristo mallorca

Advantages: Service, cleanliness, ambience, views, value for money
Disadvantages: None but not suitable for young families or clubbers!

...First of all, a word to the warning for anyone who enjoys the Magaluf/Palma Nova style holiday experience - the Hotel Felip and the resort of Porto Cristo are not for you! I say resort but in fact, Porto Cristo is a small coastal town built on the fishing industry and now boasts a very busy marina for private boat owners in addition to the still substantial fishing fleet. The town is on the east coast of Mallorca, about 62 kms (55 minutes) from Palma by car. Porto Cristo is probably most famous for the popular and stunning Caves of Drach which hosts day trip coach loads from all parts of the island, on a daily basis. The small town centre has a few tourist shops and cafe/restaurants together with local bars but no large clubs and you're very unlikely to spot a lager lout here! To be serious, the ambience of Porto Cristo is suitable...

Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon - What A Man !

Advantages: Delicious blackberry taste & for half the usual price .!
Disadvantages: None, except Temptation.

...Luis Felipe Edwards , I love you ! To be more precise , I love your vineyard in the Colchagua Valley, in Chile. I know about your small family - run business because to-night I bought a bottle of your Cabernet Sauvignon to have with our Wednesday supper . I called in to our little Co-op in town & my eye was drawn to a very elegant dark green bottle with a white & gold label proclaiming what must be your pride & joy.; Luis Felipe Edwards " Reservado " Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 . The reverse label indeed confirmed that it would go with the simple meal I had prepared earlier ; beef & pasta or could be enjoyed on its own. At 14% , it promised to stand up to my cooking , although it can be stored for 2 / 3 years in your cellar if you want to wait. Suppertime came & the family was otherwise occupied...

Super-concept-ideologistic-explicates-all-notions

Advantages: Fascinating to pick up and dip into, a classic coffee-table book..
Disadvantages: -

...for any researcher (or bookworm!) Listeners to BBC Radio 4 may know Felipe Fernández-Armesto as a presenter of the current affairs programme Analysis, or you may have come across his epic 1995 book Millennium. He is also a Professional Fellow in History and Geography at Queen Mary, University of London, as well as a member of the Faculty of Modern History at Oxford University. He certainly knows his onions. Many of the concepts he describes go way back - the first hundred pages discuss ideas from before 1000BC - and it's hard to think of any aspect of our world or our lives that hasn't been influenced by at least one of them. Reading this book was a pleasurable and thought-provoking tour through the whole history of the human race - encompassing politics, philosophy, economics, science and religion - there cannot be many books that give...

From Dead to Worse

Advantages: Good read
Disadvantages: Lots of threads, can be confusing

...and the explosion at the vampire summit in Rhodes have weakened the supernatural community in Louisiana. A failed attempt of takeover from werewolves in another area results in Alcide becoming the new packleader. This, however, comes with a price which is the death of a few weres in the community including the previous packmaster Patrick, Maria-Star, Alcide?s girlfriend. As for the vampires, the explosion in the vampire summit results in the loss of various main personnel in Queen Sophie?s court and the King of Nevada, Felipe, grabs the opportunity. He and his clan kill of the other sheriffs of Louisiana apart from Eric and his gang. Eric surrenders to the new regime and manages to keep his area. And with Sookie saving the King from the attack of the Sophie?s last surviving child, Eric is slowly gaining the trust of the new King. And as...

La Plaza Mayor - deberias visitarlo?

Advantages: Beautiful surrounding, nice shops, good food at reasonable prices
Disadvantages: Not really in the league of some of the museums, too many people exhibiting themselves

...The Plaza Mayor is one of the most beautiful squares in the city of Madrid. It is surrounded by buildings, which are mostly around three or four stories high. On the ground floor of most of these buildings, there are restaurants and shops. The restaurants sell good food at fairly reasonable prices. The Plaza Mayor bustles with life and vigour; many people can be found exhibiting themselves, having sprayed themselves with silver paint and other such things. In the centre, there is a statue of Felipe the Third, who was unsuprising the king at the time. The buildings in the square are architectually stunning; a certain building is covered in fantastic murals. The nearest metro station to the Plaza Mayor is Sol. Personally, I believe that the Plaza Mayor is a fantastic place to visit over lunch one day, where you can sit and enjoy...

Formula One Review 2006

Advantages: All the best bits from an exciting season in F1
Disadvantages: would have liked a little more on Schumachers retirement

...Formula One Review 2006 (dvd) As with all F1 review DVD's this has the best moments from the whole season on it. 2006 was a great season for formula one with Renaults Fernando Alonso taking the World championship for a second year running and confirming his status as one of the best drivers in the world. In doing so he became one of only eight drivers in the history of Formula one to win back to back titles. This is something he shares with the ever great Michael Schumacher and as any Formula one fan will know 2006 was also the year in which he announced his Retirement from Formula one ending what has been said is the greatest formula one career of all time?his records speak for themselves. Also on this DVD you get all the best highlights from Jenson Buttons first Grand Prix win in Hungary and Felipe Massa's first step...

The blood of Saint Pantaleon is speaking...

Advantages: A place very interesting
Disadvantages: None

...One of the most interesting places to visit in Madrid is ?El Convento de la Encarnación?. It is located in the town center, exactly in "La Plaza de la Encarnación, 1", near of the METRO of Opera. We can reach it with lines 5 and 2 and with several buses, the 3, 25, 39 and 148. Mondays is closed and the rest of the week is opened from : 10.30-12.45/16,00 17,45 Fridays: 10.30-12.45, and Sundays and holidays: 11.00 13,45. The prices are: 3.46 euros per person, and 2.70 (groups) and every Wednesdays is free for the European people. I will begin my opinion with a bit of history: It was built around the 1600century by initiative of Dña. Margarita of Austria (woman of Felipe the Third) but she did not get to see its inauguration because she died years before. In the begging it was a part of the Real Alcazar but centuries...

1986: Is History Repeating Itself in 2007?

Advantages: It's an exciting end to a great season
Disadvantages: Michael Schumacher wasn't in it this year...!

...In the days of yawn, couch-potato spectators of Formula One grumbled that the sport was boring, that only Michael Schumacher and Ferrari won the race, with the occasional win gifted to Eddie Irvine, Rubens Barrichello and Felipe Massa (Schumacher's team-mates at Ferrari since 1996) to reward them for their loyalty over the seasons as they worked to help him become statistically the greatest driver of all time. Then it started to change. Fernando Alonso and Renault upped their game and in 2005 and 2006 the Spaniard took the challenge to the German - and won. Alonso became the darling of the motorsport world and a hero in his homeland. As Schumacher tried in vain to win the titles in both years and, most specifically, to win the title in '06 and retire from the sport as undefeated champion, Alonso kept him honest and took both titles...
