Fellini's nice place shame about the service

Advantages: nice decor, varied menu
Disadvantages: food not great, service slow and inefficient, parking poor, crowded

...I was taken to Fellini's for a meal on my birthday. It's in such a place that you have to pass by it quite a lot as it is on the corner of the busy junction. It always looked like a nice place but its positioning was a bit off putting. Still, when you are taken out for a meal, you don't complain. The restaurant decor is subtle and nice proportioned. We were immediately greeted at the door and taken to our seats. One thing which surprised me was how close the tables are to each other. We were sat downstairs and you could hear every word of conversations held on tables all around us. The place wasn't that busy (it was about 7pm on a Tuesday) but it made me wonder what it would be like on a busy night. The menu was pretty good with a good selection of delicious sounding foods. Advantages: Always one close by, quick turn out, children are welcome and catered for.
Disadvantages: Toilets can be quite disturbing, not all dishes taste as good they are described.

The autobiographical, surreal, symbol-ridden 8 1/2 by Federico Fellini is probably one of the most important and weighty entries into Art Film. This film is loosely based on Fellini's own life and fast times in 1950s Rome. Marcello Mastroianni portrays Guido who is desperately trying to get his film finished, but has no idea how to end it. Throughout the film, Fellini uses (and creates) some of cinema history's most amazing images through techniques like flashbacks, slow dissolves and the shadowplay should have won it's own award. ...The Restaurant is a TV programme shown on BBC 2 on Thursday nights! The show is a reality TV show and is similar to something like the Apprentice but a food version. This show is obviously based on the concept and success of many other TV shows like the Apprentice, food shows like Masterchef and all the other shows like Dragon`s Den, X Factor e.t.c The idea of the show is for world famous chef Raymond Blanc to find a couple to help him run a restaurant and the couples are gradually knocked out week by week until they have the winning couple. It is in its third season and seems to have got a bit worse. I still enjoy it but felt it used to be more exciting and interesting. Rick Stein is an English chef, restauranter and television presenter. He now specialises in fish cookery. He opened his first restaurant in Padstow in 1974 and now runs quite a few businesses in the town including a cake shop, cookery school and a fish and chip shop. The Seafood Restaurant is his upper class restaurant in the town and is known for it's fabulous fish. It really is in the best location for fish. Padstow is a historic fishing port and so receives fresh fish every day. ...On the first night of our recent visit to York we ventured out to find somewhere to eat as the hotel was a tad expensive for us commoners! When we entered the city walls we asked the first people we met where the best area/restaurant was to eat. Both of them immediately answered Akbars, an Asian restaurant, which luckily was just around the corner on George Hudson Street. ...I did request this restaurant to complete a review on Ciao and spelt it wrong!! It is actually BELTAZAR RESTAURANT and won Best Steakhouse in Cape Town last year in 2004 and believe me there are a lot to choose from. Beltazae is the largest wine bar in the World and the glasses are one of the largest I have ever experienced when eating out and with a wine to suit everyone's taste this is the perfect place to eat out in Cape Town if you are visiting the Waterfront. Me and my boyfriend visited twice once for lunch and once for an evening meal and both times we were completely stuffed!
