Bullet Amp an Excellent starter

Advantages: Perfect for the beginner, great clean tone, 3 band eq.
Disadvantages: Distortion circuit not the greatest, no reverb

...I bought a Fender Bullet 15 amplifier when I wanted an amp with a good clean tone. The salesman at Sam Ash in NYC took me immediately to the Bullet 15 and I was not disappointed. I play almost exclusively in the bedroom of my apartment and the Bullet fit perfectly. It was loud enough with its distorted tone if I wanted to shake the walls but its real value is in its clean tone. It is the classic Fender clean tone. The amp has 3-band equalization to adjust the sound to your liking. For an amp that cost about $100, you can't go wrong if you want a great clean tone in a small package. However, if you want distortion, I wouldn't recommend this product. The Fender distortion circuit is not the best, if you are looking for distortion, look at Marshall or Laney. But for clean tone and a great price for a starter amp, you can't go wrong...

Fender Classic '50s Stratocaster

...on, you could barre an F all day on this guitar. Despite the thick neck you can still set up a nice low action and play classic riffs with ease. Persevere, you'll love it! The alder body seems the perfect weight and the guitar feels well balanced. Mine is daphne blue and the maple neck is nicely figured. The urethane lacquer on the neck is a lovely shade of amber which gives the guitar a vintage appearance. The pickup covers, switch tip and tremolo arm tip are also artificially aged (i.e. cream). There is no relic effect applied to the body or the metal parts. The alnico pickups are quite bright and I compensate by rolling off a bit of treble on my amp. The 5 way switch lets you access all the classic strat sounds from bite to quack. However, I mostly use the neck pickup as I prefer that rich creamy sound. There's a lot of snobbery...

...'t suit everyone's needs. I managed to get a great grungy tone out of it. The distortion channel (as with many other solid-state amps I have seen) hums quite a lot. This isn't really a problem when playing live, but for recording is a bit of a nightmare. I mainly use an effects chain through the clean channel, so the lack of decent EQ on this channel was a bit of a dissapointment, but the two controls are responsive, and there's plently of bass and treble there for you to dial-in. The most annoying problem with this amp, as mentioned by Paolo1, is the sensitivity of the volume controls. Virtually all of the volume change occurs from 0-1, so you need a REALLY steady hand to get control over it. The amp doesn't come with a footswitch, but the two-button unit that can be bought from Fender is a good upgrade, switching channels, and also...

Fender standard jazz!

Advantages: Very versatile, excellent quality
Disadvantages: More expensive than the standard precision

...guitar store will fix this if you can't do it yourself. Again like most fenders there is hardlty any difference between american and mexican guitars. I tried both and seemed a waste to spend double the amount when there was not much difference. It is a lot better than the squire bass though. I used to own a fender standard precision bass but the jazz completely beats that, being a lot more versatile and easier to play i prefer it, but still make sure you try both out! Mine is midnight wine with white pickguard, rosewood neck, and it is lovely, so give it a go and see what you think!...

Amped Out!

Advantages: Very Funny, really quirky, very good to pick up and play, value for money ++

...Amped 3 is the third game in a line of snowboarding games from Indie Built/2K Sports and it expands on the previous two games in the fact that again it is a X-Box exclusive. The game was released with the console as part of the launch line ups therefore one of the first next generation games available. Amped 3 is as i said a snowboarding game, but there are things in this game which set it apart from rivals such as the SSX series. Fender Japanese Stratocaster 1991

Advantages: Great Fender sound
Disadvantages: Dont make them anymore.

...I own a Left Handed Black Fender strat that is nearly 10 years old now. It is still in lovely condition due to the lack of play as i prefer my Aria Pro II Semi Acoustic to practice on. My Fender has a lovely sound to it. Crisp and clear. Its not like the Warm sound of my Semi or the grunt that a Gibson Les paul gives out. Mine is one of the last Japanese Fenders to come out of the factory before they switched production to Mexico. They make an even cheaper Fender now at the factory in Korea but it really is not worth bothering with. people say that there is a lot of difference between a Jap Strat and a USA one but im yet to see the proof. they both sound the same. the build Quality appears the same.
