...A month or so ago I purchased a new car, MK4 VW Golf 1.9 TDI. Not being brand new, I wanted to make some changes to make it feel more like mine. First thing I noticed was the out-dated sound system in the car. Despite being a 51 reg, it came with a tape deck of all things and a 6-disc CD changer. Ugly, boring and outdated. I wanted something a bit snazzier. I had seen other Golfs with single DIN units, meaning there was a horrible gap in the dash board. Opting for double-din was the only logical choice. Most double din units are expensive and incorporate a DVD player or sat nav of some sort. I wasn't after that, just something to play MP3 CD's and the radio. When i saw this one though, i fell in love. The sexy fascia, blue lights and jam packed features made it a must buy.

Review of Pioneer FH-P80BT
...As many of you will probably know by now (due to my persistant moaning!) our heating broke down recently and being winter at the moment we have all been freezing cold! Well we were told we wouldnt have the heating fixed untill after christmas so when we were out shopping my boyfriend brought me a present! - A Carlton FH4200 Fan Heater! We looked at several of the different heaters and i liked this one as it has a nice shape and was small (my room is pretty messy so i didnt have much floorspace left!)
I have now had the heater for a few weeks and it has been so useful that i wanted to write a review about it. So here it goes...

Review of Rewards at Ciao
Advantages: gives you a profile Disadvantages: time consuming
...Read the op. Ignore your personal viewpoint and base your verdict on the written opinion. Only use UH for those ops without effort - if you learn nothing new but get the benefit of someone's experience it is FH. If you find out something new then it's helpful. When you read an op which gives you relevant info or ninety seconds of pleasure it's a winner.
If someone rates you look then up, see what they're like. If you like it fine, if not cut your losses.
Comment positively and objectively. Try to help.

Review of How to rate and comment
Advantages: You may get a laugh. Disadvantages: It may bore you.
...I?m supposed to be working right now,
But instead I have clicked onto Ciao.
I think its so great,
I?ve made loads of mates,
And I?ve earned a whole £9. Oh Wow!
But I arrive each morning to work,
With good intentions, and a cuppa to perk
Me up for the day,
But Ciao sais ?No way!
Click on me, I want you, go beserk!?
I give in to temptation and have a peek.
Well, it feels like its been a whole week.
Have I got any reads,
I?m THAT easy to please.
What, an FH! Oh what a cheek!
But instead of getting in a rage,
I take in what they?ve told me to change.
My next op I try harder,
And get that bit farther,
Wow, look at that, I?ve written a whole page!
So all you Ciaoers out there I salute you.
You?ve made this site what it is, and me too.
I?ve had such a ball,
And I love you all!
Live forever my Ciao. Please do!...
...I thought it high time I re-wrote this op. The original was all about one thing: the fact that Ciao had stopped paying for all reviews. I ranted and raved about this and nothing else - hence the FH's you will see. Now, as this op was ought to be - a review of Ciao!
What is Ciao.com?
I have learnt in my time here that more than anything, Ciao is about bonding, about communication and friendship through cyber space. A meeting of minds, of people who share the same interest - writing.
We get together in our little pieces of space and send our reviews off.
It is about instant recognition to what you have done. It is about good writers learning to be better writers. It is a community, about the many characters we see here.
We have the old-timers such as Lost Witness and Trampus, the comedians like Mortimus and Deano76...

Review of ciao.co.uk
Advantages: Sleek, multi-functional little gadget Disadvantages: Not brilliant as a phone
...an 8 GB memory card, a radio, a stopwatch, a world clock...no, I just wanted to make calls and send texts.
Then my contract expired and I realised I wanted a new phone and to take a leaf out of my husband's book and go for something new - something that represented a step up from my old phone and into new territory.
So I found myself in T-Mobile testing out several phones and the touchscreen on the Samsung FH 480 Tocco swung it for me - never mind the whistles and bells, the touchscreen represented the future to me, and was what had me signing the contract in the T-Mobile shop. I got my phone free with my Combi 25 contract which lasts 18 months.
The Tocco is a beautiful piece of kit - the touchscreen is large and easy to use. The screen has a Widget, which shows the time, date, your calendar and you can place your music player here...
