...I realize that the FIAT Multipla, isn?t classed as a young persons car, which I class myself as (21) but I love it and have in the past owned two (neither of them the ultra new one, which loses it?s individuality, as it just looks like any other car on the market) I love this car, because there is room for me Amy and all our mates, it has two sun roof?s, I can take my sisters children out as it?s practical, Smooth and excellent to drive in, I love the feeling of being higher than anyone else and I love the stares I get driving it, I am such an attention seeker. Looks I had to put this first, as everybody seems to think they have a right to comment on the style of my car. My friends where well nasty about it, until they realized that we could all fit into it comfortable, instead of 7 of us in Dave?s Panda!! I love the looks of this...

Review of Fiat Multipla 1.6 16v

Fiat Multipla 1.9 ELX I am a convert

Advantages: Space, economy, comfort
Disadvantages: Ugly, Too much interior cloth

...The Fiat Multipla has to be one of the ugliest cars on the road well, from the front at least. However, once inside you will not believe the amount of room there is and how easy it is to drive. My Fiat I have the 1.9 Diesel ELX which is a very nippy and economical tool. I is a 2001 Y reg which I bought 2 years ago. It is so nippy that we call him Rocket. I travel 55 miles each day to work (round trip) for 5 days in a week and with the current fuel price of £1.17 per litre it only costs me £30 all week. Inside the Fiat you have 6 adult sized seats. The 3 in the back are multi position and they are easily removed to make what is essentially a van. If you just need to remove one seat that is possible too. The load space is quite high too so when I collected my fridge, washmachine and TV there was no problem fitting them...

...~ ~ The Fiat Multipla is the one of the latest Italian offerings in the small MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) sector. I first noticed this vehicle while on holiday in Tuscany last year, where it was a fairly common sight on the taxi ranks of cities like Sienna and Florence. So when it began to make an appearance on the ranks here in my home city of Dublin, I decided I better have a closer inspection of this small “people carrier”, and indeed I was originally commissioned to write this review for the taxi fraternity here. Friendly Fiat dealers for all your needs

Advantages: friendly, cheap (for a car dealers), do as they say
Disadvantages: depends on the car, sometimes they are visited quite often

The Fiat Punto - An ideal First car!

Advantages: Cheap to run and Fun to Drive, Excellent Value for Money

...I began driving this time last year and my first car was and still is a Fiat Punto 1.2 S, T-reg 1999, 3 doors. For a student such as myself, I would say that it is an ideal first car to have and I have thoroughly enjoyed driving it. It is not lightning quick and insurance is cheap! Obviously because of the age of my car, it is not going to set the world on fire, but I have been very pleased with it so far. I paid £750 for it from an auction and two years previously it had been bought for £4,200! Luckily for me, it has so far been very reliable and I hope that it will last me until next year when I will sell it before I go to University. Living and driving with Fiat Punto

...Why, of all the cars on the market did I choose to buy a Fiat Punto? I have to admit that I only considered this car because I had been driving one on hire for a few months. When I looked at the vehicles available, Fiat seemed to offer good value. Have I come to regret this decision? I bought an ?98 registered vehicle in early 2000, and have driven about 16,000 miles since that time. So what are the pros and cons of this vehicle? This isn't the current model, but the immediately previous one wnich is very commonly available second hand. Firstly, I should say that I am married but have no children and virtually all my mileage is from my daily 50-mile round trip to work. Review of Fiat Punto 1.2 

Most Ugly Looking Transport Imaginable

Advantages: Amazingly smooth ride, very comfortable, high manoeuvarability, small outside but large inside.
Disadvantages: Very ugly, only comes in manual transmission

...It may be uglier than a rhino's bum, but the Fiat Multipla is an amazing car. Only being 4 metres long you would expect there to not be much room inside but thats where you'd be wrong. Instead of the standard 5 seats, an extra one is positioned between the two front seats. This seat and the back ones can also be folded down to reveal tables with integrated drink's holders. There is plenty of leg-room for each and every one of the amazingly comfortable seats (all with 3-point seat-belts) Extra large windows and twin sun-roofs (all electric) allow for supurb air circulation, even before you turn on the air conditioning (that comes as standard). If it's space you are after, the back three seats can be removed completly giving 1900 litres of luggage space. Safety-wise, this car includes ABS, reinforced side impact bars...

Review of Fiat Multipla 1.9 JTD

FIAT = Fix It Again Tomorrow?

Advantages: Fun! Cheap!
Disadvantages: Expensive to repair / unreliable

...Punto's! I have had and used three fiat punto's in the past. I am currently using a 2001 Fiat Punto 1.2 16v Sporting. I'll start with the 1997 Fiat Punto 1.1i 55 SX 45000 miles. The car was mediocre from the inside, electric windows for the SX version with a manual sunroof. No power steering, but it's cut my trips to the gym! The problems I've had with this car have been the clutch. The clutch needed replacing costing quite a bit. There was a few cases of misfiring which needed to be sorted by buying new leads and spark plugs. The second punto was a 1996 Fiat Punto 1.1i 55 S 50000 miles. No electric windows, nothing fancy here. Drive quality was not very nice, quite a bumpy ride. The problems with this were the clutch again but the main problem was when the integrated Fiat immobiliser failed. Fiat garages are not very helpful...

Expensive Fiat problem!

Disadvantages: Read review for power steering problem!

...I bought my Fiat Punto privately about a year ago when it was 2 years old. It was a a few months after this when I was out for a drive, that the power steering warning light came on and remained on. I took it to my local Fiat dealer for a diagnostic check and it revealed that the power steering pump needed replacing, the cost for this work was to be the best part of £1000.00. Unfortunately, the car did not have a FSH when I bought it and so when I approached Fiat to request that they pay for the repair they refused. My argument was that irrespective of whether the vehicle had a full service history, the car was virtually brand new, and such a failure occured because of a manufacturing fault. I did have to rectify the problem at my own expense which has tainted my view of Fiat. However, the car itself is a very tempting option...
