I didn't choose the Ulysse. It chose me!!

Advantages: Loads of room, comfy, safe,
Disadvantages: sliding doors are very difficult to use

...Choice of vehicle was limited for me because I was getting a new used car on my mobility benefit and had to buy from a place that could sell them. After all, that's the reason and purpose of the benefit. To afford to be mobile!! My husband is also disabled and cannot walk far either, so we needed space for TWO scooters not the usual one. We didn't want to have to struggle dismantling then assembling them in the rain either. Plus we needed room to carry family when they came to holiday or visit a while etc. and from all the ones available, only the Ulysse fitted the bill for me. When they are in we do have to dismantle the scooters though, but it isn't often so is fine. To get the scooters in, we leave the two rear seats out and push the passenger ones forward as far as they go, this is how the seats remain while it is just us...

VFM people carrier, but not the best looking

Advantages: Roomy, and nicer on the inside than to look at
Disadvantages: Electrical faults and rapid depreciation

oh no is middle age here already??!!

Advantages: easy to drive, very practical
Disadvantages: not trendy

...The arrival of a new baby prompted a rethink on the transportation front as although myself my husband and our two children fit in our vauxhall vectra there would be occasions when we had his two other children and there was no way we would all fit so a people carrier it had to be. We quickly ruled out the Zafira and other cards of a similar size as with seven seats they had no boot space whatsoever and i needed to be be able to fit a double buggy in with all seven seats in place. We then ruled out the sharan/galaxy/alambra as although they were big enough i didnt like the fact that the rear doors opened out rather than sliding and i thought this may make some car park spaces a bit tight and tricky. Not Worth The Wait

Advantages: Roomy, reasonable performance
Disadvantages: Build quality, hard to park.

Ulysses is the ultimate monument of fiction...

Advantages: Its amazing and its Joyce...
Disadvantages: Its 'difficult'...

...It would be difficult to view Ulysses as a 'book'. At around 1000 pages long it is more of a literary and artistic monument than anything else. The work is stunning and encyclopaedic, looking at both the treasure and detritus of human lfe. Published in 1922, Joyce's 'novel' has a seemingly slim plot. It follows its protagonists through a day in Dublin as their lives interweave and interact. The frame for the novel comes form Homer's Odyssey and each of the 13 parts has its Homeric parallel. However, it is not necessary to understand all of these parallels to appreciate the work. Joyce said he wanted to write something that would keep the critics busy for years and he achieved his aim. Ulysses is so wide in its scope and plays so many 'games' with the reader that its links, symbolism and parallels seem to go on forever. We will...
