...The Ford Fiesta 1.25 is a great car, ford first brought the 1.25 zetec fiesta out in 1996 on the mk4 fiesta, and from that day they put zetec engines in all the fiesta they brought out. The fiesta is still one of the best reliability and cheap car today. The 1.25 engine is a nippy car and is great for young students who what to drive and buy their first car, but also older people who would like a cheap car. i've got a fiesta 1.25 zetec and never had no problems with it so far. In my opinion the Ford fiesta zetec-s 1.6 engine is the best car and would love to have one soon as i saved lots of money up. The space in the fiesta could be limited for some people but for me there is plenty of room being on my own. with a fiesta you have to get power streering because its so much easyer than not having it. makes life so much...

Ford fiesta a great economic car

Advantages: Cheap to run, good spec, handleing, good motorway drive
Disadvantages: not many(if any)

...I like my Fords I have had 3 a focus and two fiestas and never had a problem (best touch some wood now) at all this is the third fiesta I purchased. I bought the fiesta to replace a fiesta, which was the last of the old generation; I purchased the car for my wife who travels a long distance daily at least 60 miles a day. The car she had before was a .25 zetec, which were good but not that good on fuel it being a small engine pounding the motorway was quite thirsty so I opted or should I say I advised we get a diesel. I have a diesel focus zetec and it is great on fuel, having had the car for two weeks we have had to only put half as much fuel in as before on the older car. In a two week stint it used to have fuel put in at least twice, a tank a week this new 1.4 diesel fiesta only requires a fuel up once in two weeks. Bare in mind...

fiesta mk5 1.25

Advantages: nippy and easy to drive
Disadvantages: not alot of leg room for rear passengers

...added angel eyes, 1.6 zetec bumper which makes it look alot better, k&n air filter in the engine makes it bit fast and better acceleration. Wheel arches are already done so no plastic arches to smooth in like corsa's. Plastic trim is easily removed just glued on. Third brake light say fiesta when braking. You can also get lexus style rear lights. etc Bad points: Fiestas main problems are rust which is not as bad in the mk5 as some of the old ones, i have some on the door seals and some small spots on body work which can easily be fix. Suspension, mine is ok at the moment, fingers crossed it stays tht way. Switch in boot sometimes doesn't work so light wont come on. I've delocked my car as you can get into some other fords with your key as i found out, when i got in the wrong car and thought where the baby seat come from....

Foxy Fiesta

Advantages: white dials, alloys, white dials!!
Disadvantages: It's still a Ford!

...I bought my foxy Fiesta Zetec in January of this year purely because of its white dials and alloy wheels. The last thing I wanted when I was shopping around was a Ford which I think is far too common to be really interesting. But it was love at first sight. It's that bright silver metallic colour too you know. I've since seen other fiestas of the same year and type but different colours and none of them are a patch on mine. Spoiler as well which just sets the back end off and what a back end. Her front's not too bad either! Particularly those fog lights which were a real turn on/fascination with me for a time, particularly in the dark, foggy nights. A girl's first car - 1995 Fiesta Ghia

Advantages: Tidy, reliable, economical, a lot of character
Disadvantages: Not much space on the back seats; prone to rust

...I have a 1995 Fiesta Ghia (Ghia means it has snazzy extras like electric windows, remote central locking and one of those buttons to open the boot with). It's N reg but I'm quite proud of the fact that it was one of the first Fiestas in the 'new' shape - okay, I know there's another new shape since that one, but you know what I mean. I always feel a bit smug when I see an N reg in the old shape, and like to imagine the owners feeling all awe-inspired when they see me nipping by in my smoother, more ergonomic silver shuttle. So maybe I'm exaggerating, just a little bit. The Fiesta is never going to be a top-of-the-range, desirable model or the envy of all who survey it. My old fiesta

...**This is an older opinion as the car I am driving now is the Fiesta 1.4 Ghia which I also have an opinion on. However, I thought this might be of use to some of you, so here you go!!** We all see them whizzing round the roads, yes, it?s the humble fiesta. My Fiesta is a Mark 2 fiesta, which basically means it was produced between 1983 and 1989, in 1990 they came out with the mark 3 fiesta which has the newer body style. So, mine has the older body style, but wasn't far off having a new one as its F registered. Ahh well, I'm actually quite happy with the older body style. There was the mark 1, which is the even older body style which you still see around, even these days. I picked my fiesta up for just £150, a bargain I'll have you know! However it had been sitting in a garage for a year and had not gone anywhere in that time...

1997 fiesta ghia

Advantages: cheap to run, nippy, the ghia extras.
Disadvantages: limited space in boot and back.

...This review is for a 1997 Fiesta 1.25 zetec Ghia . This is the third Fiesta i have owned, starting with a MK 2 then a MK 3 and to this current MK 4 model. This is also the longest i have ever kept a car over 8 years and still going strong, although i am looking to change to maybe a focus as i need more space. So onto what makes this the best car i have driven. Firstly the 16 valve zetec engine is very responsive and great around town. Very nippy pulling away from a standing position due to the car being so light. Even motorway journeys are a pleasure and recently drove down to Bournemouth which took 3.5 hours, but did not feel like a strain. This Ghia model includes front electric windows, power steering, alloy wheels, metallic paint, alarm, electronic wing mirrors and a Rds stereo. You also get a simulated walnut centre...

A Fiesta Dilemma

Advantages: Lovely Car
Disadvantages: Will it stand the test of time?

...I bought my Fiesta 1.4 Finesse, Durashift, brand new, in October 2003. It was Ford's latest attempt at producing an automatic small car after their earlier disasters with auto gearboxes. My car is a five door, I would have preferred three doors but at that time the durashift was only being produced with five. It is a 2004 basic Finesse model but came with the added bonus of ABS as standard, otherwise the only posh bits are the cd playerand manual central locking! It does not have electric windows,remote central locking or air con - but I have to say that for the amount of time I would use these features they seemed very expensive add-ons! The cost? around £9500 - it always costs £1000 more for an automatic or durashift - I have never understood why people who cannot drive a manual vehicle are discriminated against in this way...

Ford Fiesta Ghia 1.4 TDCi 5dr Background I have owned my 2004 Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi since it was 6 months old and have traveled at the time of writing (OCT 2007) 25000 miles though the car has done 30000 in total.The car lacks in one area, which is acceleration, however, this does not detract from a 5-star rating because if you're purchasing a diesel at this price point you should be doing it for the excellent economy - not for super fast performance... The Drive The car is great fun to drive, and surprisingly nippy round town, the handling feels safe and secure and corners neatly. It is not a performance hatchback so don't expect to be 'burning-off' your average family saloon on a head to head, however the car has a respectable top speed (102mph) and cruises quite nicely on motorways at 70.
