...added angel eyes, 1.6 zetec bumper which makes it look alot better, k&n air filter in the engine makes it bit fast and better acceleration. Wheel arches are already done so no plastic arches to smooth in like corsa's. Plastic trim is easily removed just glued on. Third brake light say fiesta when braking. You can also get lexus style rear lights. etc Bad points: Fiestas main problems are rust which is not as bad in the mk5 as some of the old ones, i have some on the door seals and some small spots on body work which can easily be fix. Suspension, mine is ok at the moment, fingers crossed it stays tht way. Switch in boot sometimes doesn't work so light wont come on. I've delocked my car as you can get into some other fords with your key as i found out, when i got in the wrong car and thought where the baby seat come from....

ford fiesta 1.25 - a learner's view

Advantages: Clutch - great to learn with. Plenty of room in the car. Display is very nice looking
Disadvantages: Reverse gear doesn't always select, pops out while in use. Gear stick wear and tear. Visibility.

...A surprise 17th birthday present from my parents sat on the driveway - the new Fiesta Zetec from Ford. Sooo happy, then it hit me I was responsible and now had to drive it and keep it in one piece! For the first few weeks I would just sit and listen to music, the sound is great and plenty of options, iPod can easily be connected, radio tuning by voice is very handy while driving. The display and dials all look very futuristic and are nice on the eye, but are also simple to use, either stationary or while driving, hardly and distraction at all. The car itself is lovely inside, plenty of room to stretch out and get comfortable, plus fit my sister in the back without squishing her! To drive it's the most pleasant out of my experience with 2 instructor cars. One a Fiat, I hated, the clutch and accelerator were way to sensitive...

Ford Fiesta 1.25 Zetec

Advantages: Good acceleration, positive steering
Disadvantages: Poor display of instruments, notchy/awkward gear change

...I recently had reason to drive my mother-in-law's 1-year-old Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.25. It is the bog standard 5-door hatchback model and I had to get used to using window winders - my car has electric windows. She didn't want "anything fancy" she said. I found the car very quick for a 1.25, but it wouldn't pull the skin of a rice-pudding on some hills we encountered. Brakes were very good and steering quite repsonsive. The noise-levels were quite good at low speed, but there was a lot of road and wind noise at higher speeds on motorways. On the negative side, the gears were rather notchy and I had some difficulty engaging 4th and 3rd gear as I came down from 5th. ...I passed my test last June and that's when I purchased my car - a silver ford fiesta flight 1.3. After wanting the newer ford models and planning to save up and buy a different car for about 6 weeks i suddenly changed my mind after realising I actually loved the car I had and would be ever so sad to see it go. Its a brilliant first time car, the seats are comfortable, the clutch isnt heavy, the steering is light, it looks gorgeous inside when it is lit up at night. These cars are not too expensive neither, and dare I say quite reliable, my car hasnt broken down on me yet! (*touches wooden table*) Parts are relatively cheap as well as cost of transport. Advantages: Cheap to run, Zetec handles really well

...I have a 2002 Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.4 TDCi 5dr in red. Over 60MPG, very low insurance and cheap tax. Beware of the first batch in 2002 that didn't have the CO2 tweaked so yours paying £120 tax when the exact same car released months after is only £35 a year to tax. Very annoying! The Zetec has superb handly and most of the time feels very nippy with good pull in higher gears on motorways. It seems a lot nippier than it's 68HP would suggest. I fill it up once a month and I'm driving about 25 miles a day to work and back and pottering around at weekends. The car has a couple of annoying rattles from the slightly cheap interior build quality but there are a nice number of storage compartments and the cabin feels pretty good standard. Seats are comfy and there is plenty of room in the car. I am 6ft 2 and my left knee does sometimes rub a bit...

Fiesta Zetec 1.25 - Great car for the price!

Advantages: Many - Looks good, drives well, great extras, very comfortable
Disadvantages: Honestly none come to mind!

...style Fiesta is the internal space. It is now much more comfertable inside even if you want to carry more than one passenger. The back of the car is not so tight for space and by moving the seat release to the top of the front seats it is now very easy to get passengers in and out of the rear of the car. There is also a surprising amount of boot space considering it is a hatchback and you can fit a substanstial amount in the boot. The Bumpers are body coloured and if you have the black model liek mine this finishes it off perfectly. Many Fiesta\'s including this one now come with Alloy wheels as standard and although they are a nightmare to clean they look amazing when they are clean and add much needed style where Ford have in the past used cheap looking wheel trims. As for the 1.25 engine, I originally went to buy the 1.4 version...

Ford Fiesta Fun 1.29 - 2001 (UP-DATED)

Advantages: Cost efficient to run and very reliable
Disadvantages: Can take a while to build up speed, especially when carrying weight

...well at 80-90 MPH and will, at a push do 115 MPH, but obviously not on domestic UK roads ... you need to go to a race track or a German autobahn to be doing those kind of speeds (!) ... and, in all honesty, if you get to that speed on a German autobahn, you are still going to get embarrassed by some efficient looking German businessman called Heinz, as he effortlessly whizzes by you in his BMW or Audi, whilst your busy trying to shake every last little effort out of the Fiesta, as it shakes and judders to give you that last extra 1 MPH more that you think you need to break the World Land Speed Record (for a Ford Fiesta of course!). * BRAKES - Very solid foot pedal with good reactions, which gives some re-assurance as this car does not benefit from ABS assisted braking. Although, in all honesty, my mate who has a Ford Fiesta Zetec 1...

Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.25 5door, my experience!!

Advantages: The road tax is low!
Disadvantages: The price of the vehicle!

...I brought my Fiesta 7months ago it is lovely; the car handling is good quality. The steering is light and easy to use all the controls. My fiesta is a 55 plate so the dash board is all electronic (apart from the speed monitor), I like this because it?s easy to read and modern. I think that the price is unfair considering the brand and the size of the car the price is high as I paid £6,000 and I have this vehicle on 4 years on finance. In my opinion if these companies want to make more money they should sell these vehicles at a lower price. I also noticed that the ford style has next to nothing on the vehicle, if you want alloy wheel ect you would have to upgrade to the next model up that is the Zetec and then its £2,000 + more (this is why I went for the Zetec). My over all review of this vehicle is lovely car nicely designed but...

Ford Fiesta

Advantages: cheap and fun car.
Disadvantages: Not much space on the back seats but its a fiesta not a limo.

...The Ford Fiesta 1.25 is a great car, ford first brought the 1.25 zetec fiesta out in 1996 on the mk4 fiesta, and from that day they put zetec engines in all the fiesta they brought out. The fiesta is still one of the best reliability and cheap car today. The 1.25 engine is a nippy car and is great for young students who what to drive and buy their first car, but also older people who would like a cheap car. i've got a fiesta 1.25 zetec and never had no problems with it so far. In my opinion the Ford fiesta zetec-s 1.6 engine is the best car and would love to have one soon as i saved lots of money up. The space in the fiesta could be limited for some people but for me there is plenty of room being on my own. with a fiesta you have to get power streering because its so much easyer than not having it. makes life so much...
