...No no no... Fifa 99 was such a good game, what have they done with the 2000, it's terrible. Fifa 2000, more like Fifa 1966, the gameplay is nothing like Fifa99, the graphics are a strange and round. Sure they teams might be updated but the gameplay has been downdated. You get the same modes as Fifa99, like sinlge match, league, cup and so on. But it's so much better ing Fifa99. I don't knnow what you've done EA Sports, but it's not as good as Fifa99, I thoguht all the newer fifa's should be better than the previous fifa's.... Read review

...I think that Fifa is starting to lose it magic touch at the top of the gaming world. Their latest release euro2000 was nothing more then an update to Fifa 2000 with a differant setting. If fifa dont get their act together and start making Better updates to game and making games worthwhile to buy, then games such as ISS will take over fifas stranglehold on the top of the sales chart. For infomation purposes, i own all fifa games to date and i will not be buying the next one unless, i see evidence of a BIG improvment, or a absolutely fantastic review.. But that remains to be seen! ...I had the game Fifa 99, which was very successful, particularly on Playsation. After a while, as with every game, I got bored of Fifa 99. When Fifa 2000 came out I went straight out and bought it, but I was hugely disappointed. Except for a few insignificant changes, it is basically the same game as Fifa 99. It must be said, though, that Fifa 2000 is a great high paced football game, but if you have got Fifa 99, don't get this. To be honest if you have FIFA 98 then don't bother. Although the graphics are slightly better and the teams are more up to date is it worth £35!!!!... Read review

...Fifa ninety eight seemed to be the last Fifa computer video game where I really felt in control of the player and passing the ball the direction of where the ball is passed to is influenced by the controller up to the last minute. In the latter Fifa games the pass always goes in a line to the fellow players feet and the type of shot is altered in ocordance to the circumstance and it id auto matic where on this fifa game you as a player still have control the type of shot only a few things is automated. ...I have not been a fan of the FIFA franchise as it insists on churning out the same game every year. But I was pleasantly surprised with this effort on the Playstation 2. For once I can say FIFA is better than ISS, and that doesn't happen very often. It is a quality game and has been changed just enough to make it recognisible from the PC and PSX games. Although keen FIFA fans will still spot that it is based on the original. If you have a PS2 and want the best footy game then buy this. It oozes class. If you want an arcadey style game choose the not as good as FIFA offering ISS.... Read review

...fifa in my opinion have improved the graphics to look more realistic than the cartoons in 2000 and all the kits are up dated and all the other fifa update things like the players faces, the teams, although Gareth Barry dosnt feature in the international reserves. But the game play is a little better than fifa 2000 but still like backs to the wall and hit them on the counter. I prefer fifa 98 when I can pan the opporsition for 90 minutes rather than this patient build up nonsense. Ok but you'll feel like crap if you recently bought Fifa 2000.... Read review

...Fifa 2001 is magnificent improvement compared with the older version. Overall there is superb player animation and immaculate presentation. Each game starts with a briefing from the commentators. Also the atmosphere has been improved with great game play. There are in total 6 modes included in Fifa 2001 they are Exhibition, Tournament, League, Cup, Season, and Training. 17 football leagues are represented in the game. When a goal is scored the replays are very good with fantastic celebration by the players. Overall the game is not that different with Fifa 2000. Scoring options are not as varied as some may like. Also the players look different from each other and their faces are more detailed and realistic. Overall if you have Fifa 2000 don’t buy but for any first time buyers this is a must.... Read review

...Fifa 2000 is more of the same from EA. I've always felt ripped off when every year EA bring out a new Fifa game, with minimal differences, from it's predecesors, perhaps they should release add on packs instead. In my opinion fifa 2000 is not as good as Fifa 99 , although the graphics are better, they seem a little bit cartoony, and the computer players AI is still very dodgy, you can score almost at will with very little difference between any of the goals you score. AI has always been a problem, not just with the fifa series but all football games, and Fifa 2000 is nowhere near close to solving it, it is not uncommon for a five minute game to end 6 all. EA had said this was the most realistic football game ever, but this is not really true, ISS pro evolution is much more realistic than this. Me I would rather play Sensible soccer on my... ...FIFA 2000 is certainly the best football game on the playstation. It has an unbelievable database with literally 1000's of players. The graphics are fantastic and the gameplay is great. It is a very realistic game and has different difficulties and thus suitable for everyone. Being an avid football fan and having played all previous FIFA titles, I can honestly say this is by far the best of the lot! Any football fan should get this game, the mother of all football games, as soon as possible or otherwise wait a few months for FIFA 2001.... Read review

...instead of just up dating the players the kits the leagues and what ever else they have tweaked the playing system to take the system they used in fifa ninety nine and made it worse. the pitch seems smaller the graphics seem more cartoon like than realistic and the pace has been steped up from the fifa 99 jogg round the park to giving it some and its just too crazy. You have too set the speed down to slow to set up any skill play it is a bad game. E a sports should look at fifa 98 and find out how they have gone wrong since.... Read review
