Reviews of fight night
fight night round 3 review by hrk786
Review of EA Sports Fight Night Round 3 (PS3) by
hrk786
Advantages: Great boxing game.
Disadvantages: none really!
...Graduating from the hit- and miss knockout king series. Ea changed its tactics and introduced fight night in 2004 - the boxing titles were never the same again. The latest next- gen iteration arguably provides the most realistic boxing game ever.
With no competition on ps3, as it looks like ubisoft aren't bothering to bring their rocky license to the console, it wouldn't be that surprising if ea didn't work as hard on fight night as it perhaps might. Thankfully that isn't the case and, as the xbox360 version has demonstrated, fight night really one of the jewels in the publisher's crown.
Total punch control - introduced in the first fight night version has demonstrated, fight night - returns and gives a greater influence over punching that any button combination ever could. While unwieldy at first, the use of the right analogue stick...

Fight Night Round 3, The Thrilla in Manilla?
Review of Fight Night Round 3 (Xbox 360) by
Benf199105
Advantages: Good graphics, Lots of unlockables
Disadvantages: Weak AI
...Fancy yourself as a bit of an Muhammed Ali or a Joe Frazier? Well with Fight Night Round 3 on the Xbox 360, you can step into a classic boxers shoes, or maybe start a career for yourself!
The Fight Night series's first outing since the last-gen console certainly starts well. Within minutes you can fire up the Xbox, create a lifelike boxer, and be in the ring duking it out with the low rung boxers of your local circuit.
The creation system is simple and effective, but for a gamer who wants to recreate themselves and shove them into the ring gloves first, the game offers an advanced version of the creation system.
So now, you've recreated yourself, what does a boxer do now? Train of course!
The training mini-games are still exactly the same from the last gen outing on the xbox and ps2. Weightlifting is mimicked by pushing the two...

Good game fight night round 3
Review of Fight Night Round 3 (PSP) by
rcrules123
Advantages: good graphics and lots of things to do in career
Disadvantages: Its hard to unlock all the things in fight store
...Fight Night Round 3 is a good game there are lots of different things you can do on it. With good graphics. You can choose what weight you’re going to fight in who you’re going to fight with and many more.
The music on it is also good I liked some of them so much that I downloaded them. It loads much more quickly then some of the other psp games I have.
Here are some things you can do on it:
Play now- Choose what weight you’re going to have and choose your boxer and opponent your going to play against.
Rival Challenges- You can repeat history and playing as the winner in classic rival matches. Change history- go into the last rounds of rival matches and change who wins. Learn how to defeat legends.
Game Modes- Career mode I think this is the best part of the game. You can either rebuild a legend or create your own player. You...

Not just a blokes film
Review of Fight Club by
JamieMckeen
Advantages: Good action, with a reasonable story
Disadvantages: may not appeal to all
...Edward Norton is a common man who works a go nowhere job and suffers insomnia. To cure his insomnia, he becomes addicted to help groups (which he should have no part of), where he can let out his pent-up emotions. On a plane trip, he finds himself seated next to Brad Pitt, who a soap salesman with a no-nonsense attitude. After Norton returns home to find his apartment destroyed, he moves in with Pitt. They pal around for sometime until one night, the question is raised: "What do you really know about yourself if you've never been in a fight?" After which, they duke it out. Slowly but surely, they begin to fight regularly in the bar parking lot, gathering more and more people who want to answer the same question. Thus, Fight Club is born.
Fight Club is a dark comedy in the purest sense of the form. Building from Norton's dry cynical...

Fight Night round 3 an EVOLUTION in boxing games!!
Review of Fight Night Round 3 (Xbox 360) by
SteveRace1983
Advantages: Addictiveness and general fun of bashing all your friends!
Disadvantages: The damage you can do to your controller when you get carried away.. :oD
...An evolution in boxing games! Recently purchasing fight night round 3 i haven't been able to put the controller down although quite simple to complete in career mode, its a must have for online gaming and competing with friends but please be aware go easy on the control pads :oD
My favourite parts of this game is that you actually have to learn how to pull of each of the punches with the analogue sticks, and you really have to learn how to parry punches! Its not a game you can put on and randomly tap buttons, the graphics are so lifelike and the movements are so smooth. Althought difficult to master, this is what makes this game so addictive a definite must have for the keen boxing fan!!
The only flaws with this game i can see is how you cant keep them down first time you knock them down, they always get up on the first occasion. Unlike...

British and from Scarborough yet he is the KING
Review of Paul Ingle by
chunka
Advantages: Brave and enjoyable to watch
Disadvantages: None really
.... His name is Ben and he is 3.
Paul continues to fight and I hope, really hope many of you out there see him fight and give him much more support which is deserved!
You may find him on Sky Sports 3. I have seen him a few times on a programme called 'Boxing Gold'. If not you can easily find flyers and leaflets containg information on fights and dates at most gyms!
So why not try watching him, its a night out and your hardly ever not to enjoy yourself!
Chunka!...

fight night round 3
Review of Fight Night Round 3 (PS2) by
techno_man_37
Advantages: career mode, addictive
Disadvantages: lack of professional names
...I have always been quite a big fan of boxing, and when I saw this game at just £8 pre owned I thought id give it a go.
Firstly as far as I know it’s the only boxing game available on the ps2 apart from the rocky game, which I have heard is no where as good, however I am yet to play on this.
It was released in 2006 and there hasn’t been another one since but its still just as good graphics as the newest of ps2 games.
There is a few things you can do on this game, if you just want the odd fight once in a while you can just do the odd fight or if you want to start up a career then you can choose either a professional boxer and build up his career or make your own boxer and try get him to the top of the game.
The only downside to the game I see is that there aren’t enough professional boxers on there, there is about 30...

Let the countdown begin.
Review of Naseem Hamed by
SkinnyWinny
Advantages: Speed, Punching power.
Disadvantages: Defence slack as he holds his hands low
...but as the fight is being made at featherweight this title is not on the line.
But even without a title on the line it will not detract from what will be a great fight. I will watch it, even though it will be on in the middle of the night. Barrera will want to produce the performance of his life in front of a large number of Mexican supporters who will make the short journey to see the fight. Hamed will not have the vocal support that Barrera will have but he will want to produce the performance of his life in the biggest fight of his career.
So having told you about the fight, my prediction is that Hamed will be victorious in a great fight. Both fighters will take some heavy shots but I think that Hamed is the biggest punching featherweight in the world, and although Barrera is very durable, these punches will catch up with him by about round 10, due...

Float like a butterfly
Review of Fight Night Round 3 (Xbox 360) by
fuzzybear967
Advantages: Great controls for punching
Disadvantages: Can get a bit predictable
...Whether you are a fan of the noble art or not Fight Night Round 3 is a great game to play and has some great features. There is a great choice of boxing legends to choose from and you can make the matches that promoters can only dream about. In all you have three main play modes to choose from, career, one off fights and an ESPN classic mode.
The controls certainly get a bit of getting used to as you use the left analogue stick to move the fighter and the right one to throw the punches so you will not need to mash loads of buttons but you will need some digital speed of movement and control to get the best from your fighter. By manipulating the stick you are able to throw jabs, hooks, uppercuts and the odd haymaker where you go for broke. It does take a bit of practice however it will pay off in the end and it gives the whole game...
