Advantages: Fantastic writing, hilarious comedy

One of my favourite things about The Simpsons is their memorable movie references, and these four episodes are four of the greatest examples of this. The episodes are "Beyond Blunderdome", "A Star is Burns", "22 Short Films About Springfield" and "The Itchy and Scratchy Movie". In "Beyond Blunderdome" Homer wins tickets to see Mel Gibson's new movie, a remake of "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington", and asked to review it, which he promptly berates for being boring. This bothers Mel so much he flies back to Springfield and asks for Homers help in order to re-edit the film. What results is a bloody tour de force that has Mel decapitating the President of the United States. My 10 favourite films

...I've got a pretty extensive list of favourite films & I've been sat here for a good 15 minutes just going through them all trying to pick my ultimate 10. So here goes? 1) Sex And The City I adore this film, I loved the TV series too & I didn't know if the film would match up but I was so glad when I watched it at the cinema to see that it was just as good if not better, I was actually pretty much in tears the whole way through embarrassingly enough! An essential film for any SATC fan or any fan of great chick flicks. The great thing about this film is that you don't have to have seen the series to enjoy it, a couple of my friends hadn't & they still loved it. Can't wait for the sequel! 2) Fight Club This isn't normally my type of film but I actually love this film & not just because Brad Pitt's topless most of the way through it...

Love Film.. Hate Lovefilm!

Advantages: It was a free trial.
Disadvantages: Slow, Rude unhelpful staff, They ignore priority list why have it? Too many to list

...'t major problems, they were slow in processing your rentals and seemed like they did not see it as an issue to waste your subscription/trial in the process. My advice to you would be that if you're going to sign up to the trial, that you should: 1. Make sure that you only put in films/games that you really want, don't let the system make you put things in to fill out your list, 2. If you decide that you don't want to continue with them, make sure that you hammer it into them day after day from 5 days before the trial ends that you do not wish to continue so you have less chance of being charged anyway as that leads to stress city with no going back. If you do try them out, I hope you all have better experiences than I had. Good luck. This is also being posted on my dooyoo account....

I'd always avoided such things on the basis that a) magazines are overpriced marketing exercises and b) I couldn't see the point of reading all about them. But over the last year or so, I've found myself compelled to read reviews, previews and conjecture that will help me decide whether I need to see a film or not. It's quite addictive, I have to say. ...I researched several film scanners before selecting this one, and my main reason for purchasing it was the price: £200 for a film scanner with infra-red scratch correction is a bargain. I have heard many bad reviews about this scanner, and the one message I have is if you have problems (as I did) then with patience and perseverance it is worth it in the end!
