Tasty water

Advantages: improves the water quality
Disadvantages: expensive and sometimes hard to find

...I live in quite a hard water area and find that the water is only drinkable using the filter. The taste of the water is vastly improved, mainly because the filters take out all or most of the limescale. They last for about a month before needing replacing, and can be a bit of a pain to change, as you need to run water through several times before you can drink the water. Also the filter cartridges are quite expensive, costing around £12 for a box of three filter cartridges. I have found that they aren't always readily available in my area, though they are getting easy to find in places like Tesco and some department stores. Generally, I think that they are worth the money paid just for the nice drinking water....

Oki toner cartridge - Professional, excellent quality printing.

Advantages: Professional quality. Simple to change, good colour
Disadvantages: Expensive, not sure if it is recyclable

...I have been using the Oki toner cartridges for apporximately 12 months. In my opinion the quality is fantastic, clear and precise. When a notice pops up telling me to replace the cartridge it can be ignored for quite a considerable time, even when running low on certain colours I have still found that the quality is good. When the time comes that the colour reproduction is not good enough then as long it is not for an important document I have found that by just simply removing the cartridge, shaking it about a bit and replacing it, it can bring the colour back to life and will add extra life to it.On the whole I feel it produces professional print quality. I think it is an expensive item but have not compared the longevity against an alternative product....

filtered water - an unrealistic dream?

...We live in a hard water area in Bristol and are always having problems with limescale - we've been through many kettles in the last few years. My husband and I are used to the taste of the water now, so we don't really notice it, but when we have visitors they often complain about the drinks we serve. So, we were thrilled when my parents bought us a Brita Elemaris Cool Water Filter jug for Christmas along with a refill pack of 3 MAXTRA cartridges. Apparently they were fed up of the strange taste of our tea! Brita make the following claims - "You will enjoy cleaner, clearer, great tasting water" and "protects your domestic appliances against limescale build up". The Cheap and cheerful ish Cartridge!

Advantages: Cheap, colour print is good, easy to insert
Disadvantages: Black comes out green! Runs out quickly VERY Quickly!

...Hello and welcome to this review! My gosh those trial cartridges that come with your printer sure do run out quickly! These cartridges are greatly priced, much cheaper than other brands such as HP! However, there is one problem I have come accross when using the Lexmark 1 Cartridge. That being - When black is printed, it doesn't quite come out black! Its more of a green colour. I understand this is because colours are mixed inside the cartridge to make black but the best colour they can make must be green:( I thought it may have been my printer however I bought a second and its exactly the same! I would definately say for the price of this printer and cartridge range It is good for people doing everyday printing, however if you are printing invoices etc and require that crisp look Im afraid you will not get it...

...I have had this water filter for about a year now and brought it after I dropped exactly the same model and cracked the jug. I think so much of this product I went and brought a new one without hesitation and have recommended as well as buying it as a present for many friends. In case you haven?t heard of a water filter it comprises of a plastic jug with another ?plastic thingy? that sits in the top with a hole in the bottom into which you screw in your filter. Your tap water (yuk) goes into the top ?plastic thingy? and filters through and then you pour it out and enjoy your water (yum). I missed out a plastic lid that goes on top just to keep water from sploshing out when you pour of dust getting in. I keep mine in the door of the fridge because cold refrigerated water tastes so much better than tap water. Set into the top...
