...The start of a new year is traditionally the time for spring-cleaning - including sorting out your finances. I'm sure there are a lot of people who see the word "financial" and just switch off, assuming it will either be boring or irrelevant as they are rich enough for such matters. But, if you are careful with financial management, you can end up with more money working harder for you, which will leave you better off. That has surely got to be worth a little effort now, hasn't it? After all, we need to know how to look after all these many pounds that ciao are throwing our way. ;-) The subject of this category is financial advisors, but my advice is to learn how to manage money yourself so you don't need them. ...have worked for too many companies in my life to be sucked into another. Robin Ashton who is the Chairman got £408,000 last year and Provident made 82million pounds profit. Some of the interest is over 177% on loans and are repayable in a year. Could I really work for a company that make money out of people who can not afford it and then go and knock on there door asking for money back. Well if you look at their website, everyone loves them... I decided to ask some friends. She is in a financial mess and got Provident and struggles to pay them back. They are in the procces of taking her to court. Another friend hands her state money over to them and is the only people she can rely on and is always short of cash. ...The world of the financial markets is very a murky place. If you have no experience and no idea how they work then starting out can be a very daunting prospect indeed. Screens of figures, bulls and bears, market cap, RNS, EPS, PE ratio, what the hell is he talking about? Sites like ADVanced Financial Network (ADVFN) are a great window into what for the uninitiated is virtually a foreign language. It won't make you money per-se but it holds some fine tools to help you. There is so much information available on ADFVN that much research is going to be needed just to use the site. I will try to go through this review as simply as possible but the subject matter is so complicated and involved that I think this will be a mammoth task. Anyway here goes.
