Clinique soft finish foundation!
Advantages: Long lasting coverage, Moisture giving, everything you'd want in a foundation!
Disadvantages: Price, but the price is honestly worth it.
..., recommended 'soft finish foundation'. I thought i would try this, as her skin always looks amazing. I didn't ask for help this time, and found i made the right choice myself in the shade, (01 soft bisque) As i got home, i was eager to try the make-up. I already own a foundation brush, and this always is a better way of putting make-up on than with your fingers, in my opinion.
THE PACKAGING
The packaging is of a floral design, very clear and simple. The trademark 'c' is silver on the front, and has the words 'clinique' underneath. It's a 30ml bottle. On one side is the ingredients, on the back is the words 'allergy tested. 100% fragnance free.' Inside the box is the bottle. Made of a thick glass, with a round silver top and square bottle. The foundation colour can be seen through the transparent glass.

I'm all soft and made up!
Advantages: Works for me
Disadvantages: Price
....
THE PACKAGING
As with most clinique products this comes in their little cardboard box. Inside the box is the foundation itself all 30ml. It?s a glass slightly opaque bottle with a silver screw top. On the front there is the big C logo that clinique use with CLINIQUE (in capitals) written under it and under that in lower case it says ?soft finish makeup?. On the reverse of the bottle it advised that the product is Allergy Tested and 100% fragrance free. Ideal for me delicate little face!! It then advises that the product is ?moisture-giving, line softening make up for dry skin. Perfect description for what I was after.
THE SMELL
The smell I hear you ask?? Its fragrance free??? but as you will all know fragrance free stuff actually does have a slight smell. I cannot really describe the smell apart from a make-up smell. (I?m prob not...

Ultra control and natural finish
Advantages: Suits all hair types
Disadvantages: Not many
...a rather pleasant scent, not the usual chemical smell that is associated with most hair sprays.
The spray is very helpful when you are in a rush to attend a party or a function when you want your hair to look good and neat.
I have discovered a very effective method of doing up my hair at a short notice. I just wet my hair and pile it neatly high up , securing it with a clip, and spray it with the Well hair finishing...and carry on with my dressing, and finally I use the hair dryer just a little and then open out my hair and comb through, and it really gives it a good neat finish.
I have slightly wavy hair and this product is very effective with my hair. My daughter has straight hair and she likes to have her hair ends curling, and she is able to get the right effect by using it the same way as I do.
So , ideally it suits most hair types...

A Disappointing Finish
Advantages: No unwrapping, Cool looking tablets
Disadvantages: Price, Don't clean very well
...and the 'Finish' logo in blue with 'Powerball' underneath.
Not particularly inspiring packaging wise, I found it very difficult to open, there is a tab at the bottom on the pack which you are supposed to pull upwards, thus pullback the plastic which forms the plastic window, but this was really hard to do, I ended up ripping the cardboard, needs to be easier to open if it is going to impress me in future!!.
THE TABLETS
These aren't tablets, no; these are Quantum's I'll have you know.
Each quantum contains 3 active ingredients which I'll list below for you:
Micro Powder with Integrated Salt Function (light blue powder)
Helps remove every last trace of residue including the toughest baked-on and dried-on food for an extreme clean. No need to add salt.
Powerball Technology (white gel in the middle)
Our most effective Powerball Technology...

Finished off nicely !
Advantages: sparkling dishes
Disadvantages: expensive
...dishwasher properly, especially the 'Warning do not use any products other than prepared dishwasher products', I had to spend the next hour cleaning out all the foam, gradually all my appliances, cooker, fridge, freezer e.t.c. started reappearing, and then there was the washer itself to clean out, took an absolute age. The one good thing that came out of all this was my kitchen ended up sparkling clean (floor was a bit slippery though, so would not reccommend using washing liquid on floors either)
So you see, I now use 'proper' dishwashing products, and although expensive, have not yet found a better product to do the job other than 'Finish'
ABOUT THE BRAND
'Finish' were the first developers and producers of automatic brands of washing powder and they have been developing and improving their products for over 50 years. They claim to be...

Finish with Grease, Germs, and Limescale For Good!
Advantages: Degreases, de limescales, and sanitises dishwashers improving sanitariness and performance
Disadvantages: cost, and dishwasher has to be ran empty
.... The bottle is also recyclable.
I follwed the instructions, and when the cycle was finsihed, opened the dishwasher door. I had thought my dishwasher looked clean before. Wow! Evert surface absolutely gleamed! A scent of oranges wafted up pleasantly as well, very nice!I removed the filter, and it was cleaner than I had seen it in a long time; it was in as new condition. But did it clear my problem? I loaded in my dishes and put it on the 40 degree 30 minute eco wash. Once that finsihed, I looked. Absoloutely perfect! I did not have any further problems for another two months, when I got the same problem again, which went away after my friend Finish got done with it!
I actually use this every other month, as we only run the machine once a day max. Everytime do, the performance of my machine goes back to as new. Do I need to use it monthly as...

Rimmel Lasting finish nail varnish
Advantages: Black Cherries is a stunning colour
Disadvantages: more chips than a chippy
...Rimmel London's I love lasting finish nail varnish comes in 13 shades and is touted as a long lasting hard wearing chip resistant varnish.
Wellll not quite....!
The colour range is decent enough, not spectactular but there are a few cool colours in there - I bought Black Cherries which is a cross between a burgundy and purple colour. The actual shade itself is awesome and although I usually wear two coats, one is actually enough for a rich colour.
The finish is really glossy and the drying time is superquick even though it not spefically sold as a quick drying polish.
Its cheap enough to buy, under £3 and seeing as I base my choices on price and colour it fits both criteria.
My issue is that they say its chip resistant. What a crock!
Ladies, we all know that nail polish chips - fact of life. The person that invents...

Upping the Ante
Advantages: Strong script and characterisations, outstanding animation
Disadvantages: None
...Introduction
Computer generated animation is a term synonymous with Pixar, despite the fact many other studios use the technique to great effect.
Pixar are of course responsible for films which have quickly become modern classics, such as ?Toy Story?, ?Cars? and ?Ratatouille? and there is a reason for this ? quite simply they are in a league of their own when it comes to the quality of films they are producing.
The level of animation is a cut above Sony or Dreamworks? attempts within the genre, and the scripts are never less than excellent either.
?Up? is the latest release from Pixar, and having skipped ?Wall-E? due to complete disinterest from my daughter, I was curious to see this one. I had also participated in an online survey about the film with her several months ago, so I had a rough idea what to expect, but the finished...

Disadvantages: Too long, unpleasant animation
... Film Only Cinema Review
This is the latest Disney Pixar offering, I tried my best to avoid watching it, but the kids really wanted to see it and they doubled up on their chores to earn the money, so I couldn?t say no.
Synopsis
Carl Fredricksen is an elderly man who has dreamt of going to Paradise Falls since he was a young boy. As a youngster Carl watched his hero Charles Muntz go off on his adventures in a blimp and return to hero status. Until one day scientists doubted Charles and the skeleton he brought back from Paradise Falls and mocked him, Charles vowed to bring back a live specimen. And so with his trusty pack of hounds he set off to Paradise Falls.
On his way home from the cinema after seeing Charles set off, Carl heard adverturing chatter coming from a rundown old house. Inside was Ellie, a fellow...

About Pixar
Pixar is a branch of Disney which has been around since its first ?big? film, Toy Story in 1996, almost 14 years ago (certainly doesn?t feel that long ago!!!!!). Pixar since then has continued to make world class films which are now a common name in every child?s mind, and in most people?s homes.
In fact Disney Pixar first came around in 1984 when John Lasseter left Disney to work with George Lucas? (Star Wars) animation group which was to later become Pixar. The very very first film by the Pixar group (even if they weren?t yet to be called that!) was a short, which Pixar are now famous for, called Andre and Wally B. It wasn?t until two years later in 1986, when Pixar got its famous name, although at this time there were only around 44 employees, a tiny percentage of the amount of people working for Pixar today...
