A motherboard with firewire
Review of Gigabyte Socket 370 GA-6VX7-1394 - motherboard - ATX - Pro133A by
Mcsm
Advantages: Ideal for those with digital cameras of video editing
Disadvantages: aimed more towards specialists
...his Gigabyte board is a Flip Chip Pin Grid Array board, using the VIA 594x Apollo Pro Family AGPset chipset, in an ATX format with FireWire support (hence the '1394') in the product name.
This latter feature, in particular, is unusual. Where many manufacturers might be tempted to add sound, modem, NIC or even SCSI support, Gigabyte is the first we've seen to add FireWire to this form factor, courtesy of a TI chipset. Also known as IEEE1394 (in deference to Apple) and i.LINK by Sony, this FireWire interface could be described as 'USB, but faster'. Watch for future features on this site where we explain all about FireWire.
Back to the board. This unit has five PCI slots, one of which is shared with an ISA slot, along with the obligatory AGP port and an AMR riser slot. Three DIMMs are onboard, each capable of handling PC-133 memory.

Reviewing an Adaptor !
Review of Griffin PowerPod by
ROYALEXILE
Advantages: Price, works with all iPods
Disadvantages: none
...Well, where do I start ... probably with the fact that I can't believe i'm actually trying to write a review on an adapter ... well here I go ...!
The only iPod auto charger compatible with all
iPods.
The PowerPod auto adapter allows you to take your iPod on the road and listen to great music while keeping your iPod fully charged.
The PowerPod charges your iPod whether it's playing music or in standby mode, ensuring that you'll arrive at your destination with a fully charged iPod.
The PowerPod comes with a charger module and a separate 4-foot, high quality Dock Connector to FireWire Cable. Use the included cable with dockable iPods, or the FireWire cable that was included with all original iPods to connect directly to the PowerPod charger module.

Iomega Pro Hard Drive - triple interface is great
Review of Iomega Desktop Hard Drive Professional Silver Series Hard drive 500 GB by
davomrmac
Advantages: Build quality, good brand, lots of connection choices
Disadvantages: Medium speed
...Storage is all important, whether you need it for your day-to-day work, or for backing up those important files, you can never have enough of it. A lot of users are now turning to off-site storage solutions, such as Amazons S3 service. However, if you need something fast and reliable, then there is no other option that a desktop hard drive.
Iomega have been in this game for a long time. I remember with a warm glow, the day when the original Zip Drive was released. Wow, all that data on a tiny little disk, the size of a fat 3.5-inch floppy. Well, they kindly sent me there Professional Series Desktop Hard Drive, with triple interface to review. Offering up 500GB of storage, with USB 2.0, FireWire 400 and two FireWire 800 ports lined up across the back panel. It is also nice to see an on/off switch on the back too (many drives don't come...

Expenisve Ipod - Cheap on the Inside
Review of Apple iPod 20 GB by
DonTej
Advantages: Huge Hard Drive
Disadvantages: Cheap Accessiories
...AC Adapter
FireWire cable
PC FireWire Adapter
Wired remote
Carrying case with belt clip
iPod Dock
It wasnt jus thte packaging that made it great. Within in hours I had it charged up and ready to use. To upload songs to it was as easy as pie.
It sounded amazing, the accessiories worked really nicely. And it looked the bomb. Especially the shiny metal on the back. But best of all battery life was as good as they stated.
But now 9months later, the accessiories are falling apart, it doesnt sound so good, the shiny back is really scrathced up and battery life is half as good as it used to be. Its worth the £300 you pay for the 1st 3months then when it begains to age(and it seems to very quickley) it aint worth more than £50!...

* Fire Investigate React Extinguish . .
Review of Fire Extinguisher by
smudgeybabes
Advantages: Good for small fires.
Disadvantages: There is a risk involved.
...FIRE! Where is the extinguisher? How does it work? Shall I have a go?
These are the questions that normally get asked in the heat of the moment, not the best time to decide, and the answers are not always correct. I have been "Going to Blazes" for over thirty years now, and have seen a lot of flames.
I must say that while extinguishers do stop fires in their early stages, they also sometimes lure people to their deaths. Many people have opted for having a quick attempt at putting out a small fire, instead of ringing the Fire Service, often resulting in tears.
Different types of extinguisher:-
DP:- Standing for Dry Powder. This powder is basically bicarbonate of soda, it does make a mess, but powder is easy to hoover up.
FIRE BLANKET :- Not an extinguisher, strictly speaking, but a very good extinguishing media. These are usually made...
