FireWire 800 cable range includes Beta and Bilingual types. The Beta cables feature two 9 Pin connectors and supports data transfer speeds of up to 800Mbps. They allow
FireWire 800 devices to be connected to a
FireWire 800 interface. The Bilingual cables support speeds of up to 400Mbps and can be used to connect legacy
FireWire 400 devices to the newer
FireWire 800 interface. For compatibility with a wide range of
FireWire peripherals, these cables feature a 9 Pin Bilingual connector on one end and either a 4 Pin or 6 Pin connector on the other. A full range of
FireWire cables is also available.
