Advantages: Double drawer, independent operating untis in one applicance. Removeable trays - easy to clean.
Disadvantages: Needed replacement parts within the first two years of is life which I had to pay for.

...I have had my Fisher & Paykel dishwasher for seven years and overall I'm happy with it. I had a couple of teething problems in the first two years with seals needing to be replaced and one of the motors which I think is a little poor on the part of the manufacturers particularly charging for replaement parts for a machine that clearly hadn't had massive use ( I do not have a family or throw thrice weekely dinner parties!). The product in itself is a clever design and the two independently operating drawer units are very handy. It has aged well and I'm hoping that it will not give me any further issues in at least the next 3-4 years as the price one pays should guarantee a reasonable lifespan. If it does give me any probelsm it will likely be relaced by a Miele - depending on the level of support offered by the manufacturers...

Our first combined fridge freezer

Advantages: Good capacity for small family, no frost or condensation on interior walls.
Disadvantages: Freezer compartments quite tight for large items like pizza's etc

...This is a great fridge freezer for a small family. Our family is two adults and a child, and it copes very well with the weekly shop, although can be pretty packed. Starting at the top, from the outside, there are six buttons at the very top of the machine, three to either side of the digital display. The first on the left is the power button, which as you would imagine is used for switching the whole thing on and off. This is however an 'electronic' on/off switch therefore there will still be power going to the device if you don't switch off at the socket. One thing we noticed with these buttons is that they can quite easily be pushed 'in' and end up further back behind the facia than they should be. A gentle touch is all that is required! I was never one for using a dryer due to the time they took to dry clothes, noise and scorched or steaming clothes when trying to guess their cooking time. So with a baby on the way, my father in law used his contacts in the UK and got me a Tumble Dryer (at that time they werent stocked by John Lewis) I cannot say how please I am with this make - firstly it is incrediable easy to use - you dont put it on a timer like most UK machine you just put in the wet washing in and select the level of drying - light to extra dry and close the door , press start and it automatically senses if the clothes are dry yet. ...I have always wanted one of these american style fridge freezers but never had the room until we moved into our new house. Actually it does not take up as much room as I thought it would and it is a great centre piece to the kitchen. This fridge freezer is on wheels so although you'd think it was difficult to move it really isn't, I can move it easily! The ice and water facilities are fantastic. You have to have it plumbed into the mains pipe which my husband, who is certainly not a plumber, managed with ease! We did have to buy a little tap to fit it to the pipe but that was only a few pounds compared to what you would have to pay a plumber! You simply put the tap to the pipe and screw, it pierces the pipe then you can attach the hose supplied with the fridge freezer! This means you never have to fill up the water or make ice...

Great American style fridge freezer

Advantages: No sacrifice of space to water filter/ice maker, loads of fridge space

...Great fridge-freezer! We ordered it from Laskys (see my separate review) as they were offering it for the cheapest price at the time. Fridge side (on the right) is bigger than the freezer. We went for this model so we wouldn't need to plumb it into the cold water supply, and we wouldn't sacrifice lots of freezer space to an ice maker. It also has a handy spring-loaded ice tray too, which you fill up with water yourself & flip over the cubes into the tray when ready. Freezer and fridge have separate coolers so this should be more energy efficient and give you fault tolerance should one fail (you can still use the other half ok while the engineer is being arranged!) Door shelves of fridge are plenty big enough for 2L bottles, but I would have preferred a 3rd one, rather than spacing them out as they have. the 2 salad crisper...

I am a Firdge Freezer

...My oh so wonderfull landlord has just bought me one of these things cause the old fridge had blown up and it has a freezer too, thank you Mr Landlord. I have only had this baby for a week and I am in love, I was that excited about having my own freezer that I ran out a bought a ice cube tray thingy only to find out that it had one in the top drawer of the freezer compartment, which seems to be the only usefull thing you can put in the top drawer. There are three compartments in the freezer of the same size and most frozen products will fit niceley in them apart from frozen pizzas which have to be stuck in at a jaunty angle. You can also fit packets of square sausage in them as well, quite nicely. There is quite a lot of storage spage enough to last me for over amonth in the freezer alone.
