It is just solid fabulous Cadburys chocolate. Advertised as the 'Crumbliest, flakiest chocolate in the world the flake bar delivers pure Cadburys, creamy chocolate taste; Going since 1920 the flake bar was created by sheer chance when a Cadbury employee over filled a chocolate mould and noticed how the excess had formed a layered chocolate effect. Known for their Iconic, sexual advertising since the 1950's, the Cadburys advertising TV campaign showed female models enjoying the Cadburys flake just a bit too much, with quite phallic reference when eating the flake. ...Until a few weeks ago I had not actually heard of Soap and Glory. It was actually my friend (yes, the same one who has me addicted to Lush products now too!) was talking about their range, and I was totally clueless. Though since then I have sampled some of their beauty products, and I must say, I have been quite impressed! One of the products is the Soap and Glory Flake Away body scrub, which works on flaky skin (!). This can be recognised by its circular plastic tub, which is a pale baby pink shade. On the top there is the soap and glory logo, with the instructions for use written in a circle around it. This is definitely much more fun than boring block directions! There are a few of the Soap and Glory products which have a similar packaging, but this one can be identified specifically by a large label on the side saying 'Flake Away...

...It's important that we try and get five fruit and veg a day, apparently, but I will be the first to hold my hand up in all honesty and say that I do not meet this target very often! Although I do love fruit and veg I don't buy it a lot as it is just me eating it and it soon goes to waste. Fruit Flakes seemed to be a good way to try and get some fruit wormed in to my diet! Although the first time I spotted them wasn't until some time later, in Kwik Save, priced at the somewhat expensive price of £3.99. Sorry Flake, but you don't make me crumble or melt

...I have to admit, given the choice I would usually opt for a Galaxy Ripple rather than a Cadbury Flake but only because I have certain preferences as to how I like my chocolate. In hind sight, Cadbury Flake is a wonderfully unique and different chocolate bar. Rather than your bog standard lump of chocolate filled with the usual caramels, nougats, toffee, etc Flakes simply is just Cadbury Chocolate which has been folded in a way to actually make is taste different to any other Cadbury Chocolate bar by the delicate and intricate affect of 'rippling'. The chocolate, as you may guess from the name, is layered into a long, thin bar by very thin shavings of chocolate. ...After looking on the market for a fry food, I have found many to be very expensive... not good when you have livebearers. My pretty lady guppies are popping out fry every few weeks, so i constantly have a steady flow of fry. I have found that with the help of a mortar and pestle, this food grinds up into a fine powder very easily. Helps to bring out the natural colour in my babies too. I have been selectively breeding my guppies for the past year to gain a rich range of colours. The powdered flake is perfect to keep my babies fed until they are large enough to take roughly ground foods. I feed small ammounts 3-4 times a day with twice weekly water changes in my fry tank. Anyhow, this week my mum surprised me and purchased me a box from the local super market, Kwik Save in this case. The dark side of flake....

...Introduction = It's been staring at me for a week now, teasing me and tempting me. I have resist, my love of dark chocolate is being forced back down until today when my desires fought through, I bought one and it only cost me 44p. Packaging I have not had a flake in quite some time, I did try the Praline one when it came out but to be quite honest I was not that impressed. I am hoping that the Flake Dark will not disappoint me. I have it here sat in front of me and the traditional yellow foil wrapper is pleading with me to open it. It is of course a flake but this is no ordinary flake it has dark chocolate rather than milk. Bran Flakes - Delightful

Advantages: They have a very simple but very nice taste. The texture varies nicely and they stay crunchy for longer than most cereals. They give you a very good start to the day and they are very healthy
Disadvantages: They may be slightly more expensive than the average cereal, but still worth it
