...I have owned this Samsung television for a year now and have been very pleased with it's performance. I would say it was of average price for an LCD TV of this size at around £600. It was easy to install (although no aerial lead was included in the packaging) and the channel auto install was simple. The picture quality is very good, well defined, and colours are bright and sharp. Colours are even throughout the screen, with no fading or darker patches. The teletext functions are also good, with bright displays. The sound quality is excellent, defined and clear with no muffling. The remote control included in the packaging is basic but does the job. I have been using this monitor for a year now and I never have even a single problem with it. Fantastic Flat Screen but no sounds.

Advantages: Great screen resolution, looks, styling and performance
Disadvantages: No built in speakers

...Purchasing a 50" flat screen from Comet!..Well it started a fortnight ago with the idea to sort out a big screen TV for my folks to avoid Christmas delivery problems and other customer returns should the need arise. At the point of purchase I had done all the donkey work checking out the best TV's, I chose the Panasonic 50" at the same time a few other Net retailers were having similar offers. I chose to have a store so if there were problem and especially for the cost £2k+ I want to be able to go and speak to a real person not some cr*p telesales office in india or some place equally as useful. I haggled the sales manager down and made sure the model ordered was with the stand, i confirmed this with him several times before payment and he reassuring said it would come with a stand. Cheap LCD Screen

...We purchased this TV around Christmas time as a direct replacement for a Panasonic 28 inch CRT and I have to amit the picture quality is far superior to what we have been used to. DVDs especially appear to be much more crisp, however as we do not have a HD DVD player or TV input I could not comment on these features. The Xbox 360 looks much sharper an is a big improvement. The Wii strangly enough appears to look worse. Only because you can now really see how blocky the graphics really are. There are pleanty of sound and display options to play with and the auto tune function hapily tunes in all your channels with minimum fuss. There are enough inputs also. As there are only 2 scart inputs you just may need to invest in new HDMI inputs for which there are 3 of. The biggest let down is the sound. When we purchased...
