Excellent Flat-Screen TV

Let's sing the praises of Samsung LCD TV

Advantages: Saves space, good picture, built in freeview
Disadvantages: HD broadcasts not out yet, need a HD ready DVD player too

...apparent thiness. I particularly like the Samsung as it is framed in black ( see picture above ) and I think this gives it a sleek, stylish look. My boss informed me once ( he is full of pearls of wisdom) that a LCD tv is equally popular with husbands and wives. His reasoning is that men like all the gadgets that come with it ( and there are many like picture in picture, different screen sizes etc) while women like the extra space it affords the sitting room. To be honest I like the extra space it affords our room. Furthermore as a parent I'm glad that neither of my sons can lick the television screens any more when their favourite characters come on ( the things they learn from their mother!). It also means they have to watch the television from a certain distance which is obvouisly benefical to their mince pies! *** Spot the Difference...

37" Flat Screen LCD

Advantages: Good quality picture, easy to install
Disadvantages: no connecter aerial in the package

...I have owned this Samsung television for a year now and have been very pleased with it's performance. I would say it was of average price for an LCD TV of this size at around £600. It was easy to install (although no aerial lead was included in the packaging) and the channel auto install was simple. The picture quality is very good, well defined, and colours are bright and sharp. Colours are even throughout the screen, with no fading or darker patches. The teletext functions are also good, with bright displays. The sound quality is excellent, defined and clear with no muffling. The remote control included in the packaging is basic but does the job. BUSH 27" WIDESCREEN LCD TV

Disadvantages: can the cat knock it over? not hd ready?

...with the television is that we have three cats who are always tearing around the room and I am afraid that they will jump on to the television cabinet and jump up at the screen and knock it over. One of the cats used to sleep on the old television, but obviously our new slimline one isn't wide enough for that! He seems to realise that though (so far)........... This one has brackets to fix it to the wall, but these are flat fixing brackets and our tv is currently across the corner so that we can watch it from different sides of the room, so we will need to get corner brackets for the wall if we decide to put it up there, which would keep it out of the reach of the cats! We now switch all of our applicances off at night so that they are not left on standby so that we can save money/the planet. PICTURE AND SOUND QUALITY...

ONE AMAZING TV!!

...pages. You can do, if you find that sort of thing interesting, but most of it was technical information you didn't need for setting it up. It included phone numbers and such things to do incase of damage, or technical fault that the huge manual cannot sort out. The sound quality of this massive TV is outstanding. Down the side of the screen, on side of the two sides are speakers which run all the way down the screen. This provides that extra qualiy, and the sound is so much better than an ordinary TV that you would buy, and so much better than those chunky TV's with the massive chunks in the back of them. The quality can be changed with its own equalizer. This is quite a good feature if you are listening to CDs, through a DVD player or games console. Once you thought the sound quality was good, you have not seen anything yet...

...Master 943NW is an excellent monitor when it comes to its features. It puts my old Cathode Ray Tube monitor to shame. I have been using this monitor for a year now and I never have even a single problem with it. Cheap flat screen LCD TV better than dearer ones

Advantages: cheap, small, good enough picture and sound quality for us
Disadvantages: haven't really found any

...on the top at the back. I find it easy to use with the remote control. It really is a budget set - even the Users manual looks as though it has just been run off on someone's home printer. However it is functional and if quality is defined as fit for purpose, then it is a quality product. The television size is height 46 cm, width 36cm and visible screen size 38cm We paid £169 for this television but I see they are on Tescos website today for £148 - in fact I wish I hadn't just looked that up! Based on our experience of this set over about 6 or 7 months I would recommend it to anyone who wanted a small, cheap, reliable no frills LCD flat screen TV....
