Flight Simulator X - What Are You Waiting For??
Advantages: Amazing Graphics & Sound, Fantastic Missions
Disadvantages: Only 2 Activations, Needs A Good PC
...'d be like on the setting 'High or Extreme', that eventually you'll find yourself getting a new PC! Though I'm choosing to wait for Visa to come as standard with new PCs.
You can only activate this product twice, before having to buy a new activation key from Microsoft. Think about this.. If you install it on your current PC, then get a new one, that's your 2 activations used up - so if your new PC crashes, you'll have to buy a new activation key for it to work again. I wouldn't worry yourself too much about it though!
Overall, if you're young or old, wanting to treat yourself or looking to buy a present for someone - you won't be disappointed with Flight Simulator X. It has many hours, days, weeks and months of enjoyment ahead - and with some add-ons already on the market - you're in for one perfect flight! Enjoy!...

Microsoft Flight SImulator X Deluxe Edition
Advantages: Incredible Graphics
Disadvantages: Recommend good PC for best performance
...This is definetely the best simulation game out there at the moment and is very much worth the money. I have had the game for a few months now and find it absoulutely incredible.
The graphics are outstanding, although I would recommend quite a powerful PC with good graphics card. The game suits more or less anyone; those who are just looking to have fun flying around and doing the odd mission or proper pilots who want to practice. This is due to the outstanding realism of the game in every single aspect, from real life weather updates to a wide selection of incredibly realistic looking and handling planes. The missions are very exciting, varying from helicopter rescue missions to delivering mail.
Lastly I would only recommned playing with a proper flight control system as it is just too realistic to use the keyboard - personally I...

Flight Simulator - a realistic feel
Advantages: A realistic feel of rlying an aircraft with great graphics
Disadvantages: None except you need a fast computer to run the game
...Flight Simulator 2002 Professional has many new features than its other simulator brands (such as Flight Simulator 98). New Aircraft, new artificial intelligence system, new interactive air control system, new NEW NEW! Everything, if not everything, then nearly everything is new in MFS2002Pro. Now I know what you're probably thinking right now. You're probably thinking wait, why is this simulator so fun? I mean all you do is fly around in a simulated airplane. Wrong! You experience what it's like to fly in real time, well..almost at least. Well..maybe not almost, but close! Imagine taking off in a Boeing 747-400 Jumbo Jet, on your way to a long international flight to Paris, or skim the ocean waters, lakes, whatever in a Caravan Floatplane, or how about cruising around in New York City to have a glance at the Empire State Building in...

combat flight simulator
Advantages: good game
Disadvantages: .
...i have had combat flight simulator since it come out. i think that it is a brilliant game because i love planes and especially world war two planes. this game gives you the chance to fly your favourite comabat plane from world war two and to shoot at the enemy.
The graphics are well good and virtually the same to real life. The planes are really good as well and are identical to the real thing. some of the planes include a hawker hurricane and the famous spitfire
there are lots of missions to do which can take up time but dont most games. it has options in the game that let you choose how realistic the game is. because you can choose to have unlimited ammunition and unlimited fuel so its an easy way of cheating.
there are three “teams” that you can fight for great britain, america and germany. my personal favourite is...

FLIGHT SIMULATOR 2000 READY TO BUY
Advantages: Teaches you to fly a plane
Disadvantages: Very Complex
...Flight Simulator 2000 is a PC game by Microsoft that allows you to fly some of the world?s top class airplanes through the simulation of your PC.
As an upgrade from Flight Simulator 98 you have the ability to fly around any part of the world that has an airport in anything from a small private plane to the latest concorde using this superbly designed game.
The most important part of this game in my view is the fact that it teaches you how to become a pilot with its accurate and realistic cockpit controls viewed as they would be in a really airplane.
At first glance this game looks very complicated with controls all over the place but once you have been through the detailed tutorials you will be as good as a professional pilot.
You have the choice out of three types of aircraft in the game, which are as follows:
Private...

Flight Simulator 2002
Advantages: Amazingly realistic, packed with features
Disadvantages: Slow loading, can be jittery during gameplay
...I don't like calling Flight Simulator a game, because I don't class it as one. Flight Simulator is used by professional pilots as a means of training, practise, and fun. They say, if you can fly a plane on Flight Sim, you can fly a plane in real life. The planes act exactly the same as in real life, the controls on the dashboards are laid out in exactly the same way, and the game is EXTREMELY realistic.
The first thing you notice is the amount of time the game takes to load, compared to the prequels. The loading time is very slow, and you tend to get rather impatient after a while, especially when the flight takes 3 minutes to load, and you realise you've sat yourself in the wrong plane and have to start all over again. There are plenty of planes to choose from, from stunt planes such as the Extra 300S, to commercial airliners such as...

Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2
Advantages: graphics, detail
Disadvantages: none
...Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2 challenges you to take charge from a range of aircraft. These aircraft are the pride of the Japanese and American fleets. Microsoft's leading graphics technology brilliantly captures classic WWII naval fighters. Choose from the Japanese A6M2 Zero, A6M5 Zero, NiK2 George or the American P-38F Lightning, F4F-4 Wildcat, F6F-3 Hellcat, and F4U-1A Corsair.
This game shows beautifully rendered battle sites such The Marianas and Midway each with huge detail. The detail includes moving canopies, spectacular damage, battle-scarred paint and bailouts.
Fly single missions or campaigns Use the powerful new graphical Mission Builder to re-create other famous conflicts and campaigns
Fly through clouds, rain, haze, and thunderstorms on your way to battle. Campaigns are a branching tree structure. You have...

Microsoft Fligh Simulator X (FSX) Delux Edition
Advantages: amazing detail and graphics, very realistic too
Disadvantages: powerfull and fast PC needed to enjoy the full potentiol of the game
...Brilliant game, graphics are unbelievable and the realism is spot on too. ive recently ventured onto the multiplayer part fo the game and wow its a big community out there. you can communicate to other players around the world acting as other aircraft or even ATC (air traffic controll) Providing you buy the acceleration add-on i would say theres a fair choice of aircraft. i can only think of one dissadvantage and as you will read on other reviews, unless your PC is very powerfull and fast enjoying the full potential of the graphics and detail is almost impossible. sure you can set every thing to the highest levels of detail, etc, but it dramaticly slows the game down to frustrating speeds. i recormend if you wish to have the full experiance, make sure you have a powerfull PC with at least 2GB of ram and a intel Core 2 duo proccessor...

Flight Sim X (Deluxe) Im impressed already!
Advantages: Excelent graphics, sound, multiplayer function and easy to use for beginners
Disadvantages: High spec PC needed to get the best performance.
...Wow!! I'm now impressed and I'm not even using realistic settings.
I went out and bought FSX on the release date 13.10.06. I am an avid flight simmer and have had all of the Microsoft Flight Sim releases since FS5. After a 30min+ installation time I managed to get my first chance to take to the sky. At first I was little impressed with the graphics and the scenery on my first flight. The frames were jerky and the aircraft and screen movements took about 4 seconds to respond to the movements of the joystick. I have a 2.8GHz processor, 526mb DDR memory and Direct x9 installed. I was not happy and was seriously thinking about resorting back to FS9 (2004) until Windows Vista is released. However I persisted with FSX and tweaked my FSX settings more towards the left of the sliders and now I am running on very basic scenery...

FS2004 A Century of Flight
Advantages: Stunning Graphics, More Aircraft, MS's Best Yet
Disadvantages: You'll need a supercomputer to run it!
...*Priced between £39 and £49
I've attempted to include new and existing users in this article - the first paragraph for existing users, the second for potential new ones.
As a previous user of FS2002, I wasn't expecting a great deal of change from the previous version, and to an extent I was right. Firstly, MS have abolished the pro and standard version and released a single product, thus giving you better value for money (it's priced in between the two) and more aircraft to play with. The new aircraft all related to the 'century of flight' theme and are thus vintage, and very well modelled. There's also a fourth disc these days, more adventures, and a more versatile ATC (with a few small bugs). All aircraft now have fully modelled 3D virtual cockpits and exteriors rather than the half-and-half approach we saw in the previous...
