Flower tower long term use

Advantages: pretty, easy to plant
Disadvantages: ours rotted away

...The flower tower is sold on the home shopping channel QVC. It is basically a hanging basket type of thing but in the form of a tower. The tower is made of a plastic material with a mesh inside. you cut through the outer plastic to create a hole and plant through the hole. The tower looks brilliant once grown. you cant see the plastic and yoiu can ether hang it or it can be freestanding. Watering is easy as the base acts as a water holder. They claim that you can reuse them but the ones we bouught were not in any state to use as the plastic had rotted away. (We had left them out but it was not said that we could not). These towers are a good addition to my garden and are reasonably priced....

Make your own flower tower

Advantages: Be the envy of your visitors with this cascade of colour
Disadvantages: Can be a chore to water so don`t forget the water retaining gel

...water retaining gel and slow release fertilizer. Now you have the idea just carry on till your tower is 5 or 6 planters high. You will be left with a 3 or 4" border round each planter for your plants. Make your own selection of trailing plants and away you go. I use a mixture of, million bells, cascade lobelia, impatiens, verbena and a couple of the small flowered fuschia such as Harry gray. The results are breathtaking....

Depending on when you arrive at the park you are likely to have long delays at the booth's, from my experience we had to wait approximately 30mins to buy our tickets, then we had to queue another 10mins to get in to the main park. In the main park As soon as you're inside the main gates you given a map of the park which just looks like a colourful sheet of paper with the odd ride stuck in the middle. I strongly suggest that you allow one person to navigate the park using the free map. When you get to term with the map is very easy to use and follow. Fawlty Towers!

Advantages: Superb comedy with John Cleese
Disadvantages: It's a shame there weren't more series

...Fawlty Towers is my favourite comedy and one of favourites in our home and also with most of my friends and family. It originally aired on BBC 1 in the 1970s It is a comedy made at the height of comedy in the 70s and is about a hotel - "Fawlty Towers" in Torquay. It is probably one of the best known and most loved British comedy and although there were only ever two series they are forever being shown on channels such as UKTV gold - and with there being this boxset available you will never forget this great programme. ...Alton Towers Over the summer my husband and I went over to Alton Towers for a few days for a break. For those who haven't heard of Alton Towers it's a large theme park with attractions and thrill rides. It cost £37(adult) and £28 (child) to get in. They do deals for example if you buy in advance online it costs £29.50 (adult) and £22.80. The park has several different sections offering various things to certain age groups. As you arrive into the park the entrance has lots of shops and an information desk. To the right you can go to Sharkbait Reed by Sealife which to be honest was rather small and disappointing for me. It had different types of tropical fish which you could look a. I thought it was more aimed at younger children. Beside it was a section, which had a pirates theme, which included a pirate show at certain times...

...Alton Towers with a Toddler I visited Alton towers yesterday and while this attraction has plenty for both grown ups and children I visited with my toddler son. I first visited Alton towers when I was a child myself and have experienced the big rollercoaster's such as Air and Nemesis but this visit was completely different so thought it would be useful to do a review of a family visit. The Flower Of Passion

Advantages: Stunning flowers, easy to look after, quick grower
Disadvantages: Can take over the garden if your not careful

...Myself and my girlfriend have been sorting out our back garden so it?s all in good shape for the summer. The garden is not very big so we only have a couple of small flower beds. We have found the Passion Flower to be a great addition to out garden because it is a climbing plant and grows along the fence, rather than taking up floor space! The Passion Flower The Passion Flower is very similar to a vine in the way it grows. New stems grow from the main plant and attach themselves to whatever they decide to grow along. The leaves of the Passion Flower are dark green and have a very attractive shape (I suppose it is quite similar to a cannabis leaf). Along the main stem of the plant, little feelers grow, these are vital to the plant because this is what clings to whatever the plant is growing along and supports the weight...

Review of Passion Flower

Bed and breakfast in a Tower!

Advantages: very clean, friendly proprietor, felt homy, great views
Disadvantages: the plug socket looked worrying

...We recently had a night away in Melksham, near Chippenham, to attend the wedding of family friends and - as is usual with these friends of ours - they booked us into a local bed and breakfast and then (as usual) paid for our stay! After a mind-numbingly terrible journey down the M6 and then the M5 that took the best part of four hours, I must admit, I was hoping this bed and breakfast would at least be comfortable. I'm going to start at the end of my stay in order to give some background to Sandridge Tower which the proprietor Mrs. Woodhouse kindly filled us in with after breakfast before we left. It's actually the last place in the world I would expect to have a webpage, but - using that - I learnt that it was built as a "folly" (ie. a building that is basically decorative but doesn't have any special purpose, if I understand the term...
