Flymo, Mymow

Advantages: Goodlooking, Value for money, Metal blades.
Disadvantages: Nothing till date.

...My purchase of Flymo PAC A Mow was the result of some intense research. I was looking for a not too costly mower,that had a metal blade and which would do a decent job. Appearance: The Flymo came in a bright orange and grey colour which lent some colour to my garage. It is really cool to look at. It can also nicely be packed away after use so dosent compete for much space. Putting It Together: Wasnt too complicated as there is an excellent leaflet that came with it. Flymo fails to impress

...Let me start by saying I used to be a huge fan of Flymo. I have had their mowers for years but I figured that after many years faithful service it was time I upgraded my old mower so when I did to be honest I didn't look at other brands, I just went for my tried and trusted favourite manufacturer and I decided to buy their latest model. So, off I went to B&Q and came home with the new Glide Master. Out of the box I was really impressed when I got it home, for once I didn't have to put to together it was more or less ready to go straight out of the box with just a few minor tweaks. I was a little disappointed with the cord storage feature because to be honest all it is is a simple reel that clips on to the top of the mower which you wind the cord around. Flymo Pac A Shred

Advantages: Robust. Shreds large diameter branches.
Disadvantages: Less good with leaves and small items.

...I brought the Flymo Pac A Shred in December 2007 and it has had 1 year of hard use in my half acre overgrown garden. It has munched through everything we have tried it with from Laurel to Hazel to Bramble, rose. and lylandai. It is amazing how much it will pull through its jaws and the cutting capacity is as advertised. Any branch that fits into the jaws will be shredded. It is less happy with green leaves or old wood and prefers green woody material, but it works well on a comination of leaves and stems or branches. It will pull through surprisingly twisted branches too, but may need a helping hand to line them up into the jaws. It produces a good mulch which can be used around the garden or composted. It does require periodic adjustment of the blade but this has been frequent and heavy usage. It is easy to manoevre around...

Flymo Turbo 330. I bought this and I KNEW what I was buying!

Advantages: Compact, light, easy to store, grass box, quiet.
Disadvantages: None I have found

The Rollermow was based on the original Flymo 4 wheel electric mower, the Easimo, but the clever old (maybe young) people at Flymo added a very simple, yet practical, plastic rear roller on the back. Flymo 380 - Not So Flymo

...Flymo Vision Compact 380 I have never owned a flymo but after moving house and inheriting a lawn which was a little uneven i decided to go for a new flymo as they were recommended for lawns which are a bit more uneven. I bought this model for £120 and found it easy to put together. The handle needed attaching along with the blade on the bottom and the easy reel assembly. Easyreel: This is probably the best thing about this lawnmower. It simply works like a hosepipe reel and simply winds in your cable when finished cutting the garden. A good feature and keeps the cable neat, tidy and out of the way. It does make the lawnmower rather heavy when it is would in. Cutting heights: This model is supposed to have adjustable cuting heights from 38mm-12mm. I have this on the lowest setting but must admit that i am very dissappointed...
