...Oh dear I did have to chuckle to myself when I saw this heading 'Correct Use Of Fog Lights' as I was already convinced that most people don't realise they have lights let along fog lights!!!!!! The highway code states that fog lights are to be used as in the event of fog, intensive rain, snowfall, smoke clouds or of powder or any other analogous circumstance that is deemed to be reducing the visibility of the driver. BUT how many times do you drive in fog and people haven;t even bothered to put on their normal lights, fog lights just don't come into the equation with these drivers!!!!! In foggy conditions I would say that I must flash (with my lights that is!!!!!) at least 2 drivers each time for not having any lights on. ...The original of 'The Fog' was released back in 1980 and it was genuinely terrifying, still is to this day. When the remake was announced i was actually looking forward to it because i believed that even though the original was a good movie, it could have been improved on. Was it? No. Was there a point to remaking this movie if this is what they had planned. No. Is there anything they did right? Yes, they hired Selma Blair who plays 'Stevie Wayne' (who Adrienne Barbeau played in the original) who is the only person that keeps this movie alive throughout its drudging storyline. These European Directors are really beginning to annoy me! The movie opens slowly and continues that way for it's entire length. So can you please tell me why the young man in the Peugeot 306 is hurtling toward me with his sidelights on and worse of all his front FOG LIGHTS??? A friend of mine used to comlain that his fog lights only came on with his full headlight beam (not the main beam, just normal headlights). When I asked him why he needed his fog lights on with just his sidelights anyway he replied 'cos it looks dead cool!' , I just shrugged in disbelief! What purpose are front fog lights designed for??
