Soft as a baby's... foot

Advantages: worked very well at softening the hard patches of skin on the feet
Disadvantages: caused some sweating if you put shoes on too soon after applying

...Spa O2 Softening Foot Lotion The Brand Spa O2 seem to be quite a new company on the bath and shower product scene. After lots of searching online I managed to find just a single paragraph about what the company claim their products to be: "Indulge your body and awaken your senses. Spoil yourself with a spa style treatment in the comfort of your own home from top to toe. A unique way to care for your body with true spa style treatments to soothe your mind body and soul". I wouldn't necessarily agree with their products being unique as companies such as The Body Shop, Lush, Radox etc have been doing the same thing for years, but the products so seem to be of a spa quality that you can do in your own home. The main place I have seen their products for sale is on Ebay, so I'm not entirely sure on where else you'd buy them...

Just vibrate or bubble and heat?

Advantages: Soothing, relaxing.
Disadvantages: Too much hassle to use often.

...Last Christmas I received a Tesco`s Foot Spa as a present. I was pleased to have been given the opportunity to try it, as I knew I would not buy one myself. At the same time as being pleased, I thought where am I going to keep it as it is quite big. Anyway, looking positively, I could not wait to try it. Appearance * * * * * * * * * The Tesco Foot Spa is predominanty white with pale blue at the front and stripes at the bottom. The feet are pale blue. It is plastic. The inner bottom where you place your feet has hundreds of nodules to stimulate your feet. At the back there are two little mounds with larger bobbles on, presumably to rest your heels on if you wish, though I find it a bit uncomfortable if you do, you don`t have to. There is another larger mound in the middle. This is quite comfortable when you rest your...

Planet Spas Foot and elbow away

Advantages: smells lush
Disadvantages: doesn't really work for me

...With the summer months coming up and me being a dedicated flip flop wearer I thought that I would treat my feet to a bit of an overhaul so being a bit of a bargain lover I decided to use Avon as they are always good value for money and most of the products do what they say they will do. The first thing on my list of the overhaul was to generally soften the skin all over my feet so off I went to my trusty Avon representative to get the latest brochure. Luckily for me (Ha ha she says!) they had a special offer on the Planet Spa products for body and feet. I purchased the Planet Spa Foot and Elbow cream with AHA, African Shea Butter 75ml and a pair of cotton socks. Now I paid £3.00 for the two but I believe that normally the cotton socks are £3.00 and the cream is £3.00. Surprisingly I cannot find either of these items easily at www...

Review of Avon Planet Spa African Shea Butter Elbow and Foot Cream

A wonderful and relaxing spa with plenty of choice.

Advantages: Not as expensive as other spa's and they're nicely decorated.
Disadvantages: Why can't I afford to come here every day?!

... What is Aqua Sana? Aqua Sana is a chain of spa's, there are 4 Aqua Sana spa's in England and each of them are situated at a different Center Parcs. You can visit the spa whilst on holiday at Center Parcs, or you can just visit the Aqua Sana spa for the day, or an overnight stay. Full details on the soa's and prices are available at www.aquasana.co.uk Each Aqua Sana spa has 14 spa experiences boasting the widest selection in the UK, and of course there are the usual selection of treatments to choose from haircuts and pedicures to massage's and facials. I personally prefer to go for a spa day without any of the treatments as the spa itself is a very relaxing place and not too badly priced considering the prices of some the spa's in the UK! Inside the Spa I have been to the Aqua Sana spa at Whinfell Forest...

A Spa on a budget?

Advantages: bubbly, interestingly pampering scent, good body wash!
Disadvantages: may be slightly too aromatic for some, possibly too girly to appeal to men?

...I never actually bought this, I sort of acquired it! Some time ago, in Sainsbury's, my mum had decided she was fed up with the soap getting soggy in the shower soap holder and, since the Imperial Leather handwash was on offer, we somehow managed to end up with a buy-one-get-one-free on both types of product! (The other shower gel in question was the far more eye-catching bright icy blue Icelandic Spa one, but that was used up before I had chance to sample it.) So, for variety, we also went for the cream-ivory coloured Japanese Spa shower gel . . . and then my dad decided he couldn't get used to body wash instead of soap - he's not the kind of dad you'd buy toiletries for at the best of times! - and my mum isn't really a high-maintenance person in the bathroom either. Therefore, they finished the blue shower gel and the offer was open to...

** I Always Put My Foot In It **

Advantages: Good to wear before any pain starts.
Disadvantages: Expensive, not effective after pain has already started. Unattractive.

...feet. The fast pace mixed with heat and high heels had got the friction going all right! I almost couldn?t bear to take another step. But even if I wasn?t going to make it to the sandwich bar I still had to get back to work!!! Anyway, I was heading for Boots anyway for something else and I hobbled over to the foot care section hoping for some quick light relief while my friends were ordering for me. I never realised just how many foot soles, pads, magic creams there were especially for us with high heels! I?m glad I?m not the only one! I didn?t want to use the ?gel? pads that you put at the bottom of your shoes that are supposed to give you relief from painful feel as these just make my feel slip and slide around. So, I really needed something to work. I went for the brand name as I hoped it would work instantly to relive the pain...

Lots of massaging bubbles leaving very tingly feet

Advantages: Really relaxing with lots of bubbles for a prefect massage
Disadvantages: Attachments don't work as well as they could do

...I thought I would do a hands on (or rather feet on) review of this product. So I am sat here on the sofa writing while my feet are soaking and being massaged. I got this foot spa for Christmas a few years ago and have only used it a few times. I have really horrible feet with lots of dry skin and often ache if I am on them for too long. I think that is why my Mum bought it for me, to try and help my tired feet. So, I will start from the beginning. It comes in a large box with a handle, which I think is very useful as I keep it in the box in the bottom of my wardrobe and often need the help of the handle to yank it out. The foot spa is a large bowl that is separated down the middle so that there is a section each side for your feet. It also has a splash guard over the front to avoid any spills on the carpet. In the middle...

Put your feet in

Advantages: cheap electrial luxury appliance from tesco
Disadvantages: plain white bulky appearance

...Bought from the wonderful selection of electrical appliance on offer at our New store - Tesco Extra. Costing only £21.99 this was a snatch of a deal as most similar products from brands e.g. babyliss and Phillips are usually around the £50 range. Although the appearance is very basic - comprising of a plain white rectangularly bulky shell and grey dials and buttons, it does do it's job well. It didn't come with any lovely smelling bath oils, foot soak, or bubble lotions - unlike some you can buy from Argos. And the black cord wrapps around the whole thing when you have finished and requires a large cupboard for storage. A more expensive foot bath such as those from philips, are much smaller and you can even hide these under your bed neatly as the cord aldo has a wind around secret compartment. I know this as my best friend has...

Review of Tesco FOOT SPA

Come on in, the water's lovely!

Advantages: Very easy to ue, very realxing, eases tired feet and swollen ankles
Disadvantages: None at all

...the addition of a spa in her bath might just be a little too much for to handle. We therefore decided to compromise and this year my brother and myself clubbed together and bought her a Babyliss Body Benefit Rainfall Foot Spa Relaxing Foot Massager. Probably not very original, I know, but nan thought it was the best thing since sliced bread, and the look on her face on Christmas morning when she opened it was pure delight! She was over the moon and exclaimed that her friend Ruby's daughter-in-law had bought Ruby one just like it the Christmas before last. Nan said she's always wanted one and asked my dad to set it up straight away - before she'd even opened up the rest of her presents. Dad got to work setting up the foot spa and carefully read the little instruction manual beforehand that came with it. The advantage of this particular...

Yes, Boots Foot Balm Does the Trick.

Advantages: A buttery foot balm that works well.
Disadvantages: The price.

...The No 7 Range from Boots has some good skin creams and I was searching the site because I wanted to review the No 7 Age Rewind cream but I am going to have to request that product. While I was running down the list of No 7 products I noticed the softening foot balm, one of the creams that I have used in the past. The 75ml tube of No 7 softening foot balm is fairly expensive in my opinion (£9.50 for 75ml ) but any cream that is successful in softening tough cracked heels has to be worth a trial run. The flip top tube is very plain and simple but that applies to most of the No 7 packaging. Maybe we should be pleased that No7 are concentrating on producing good quality products in simplistic packaging, I often think that the cosmetic companies do try to outdo each other in making their wares stand out on the shelves. If the skin...
