Table Football. A good game

Advantages: Good game. Fun. Good Graphics.
Disadvantages: Takes some getting used to

...Ok so i wasnt too sure about tis game at first. Im not the best at table football on an actual table, so playing it in simulation did'nt seem the best idea, but something was telling me to give it a go. I was not too sure wether it would work well on screen and how the controls would work. But i have to say im pleasantly surprized that this is actually a good game. Review of Table Football (Wii)

Garlando G500 Table Football Table

Advantages: Commercial quality table at an affordable price.
Disadvantages: Assembly instructions and balls could be better.

...I recently bought a Garlando G500 table for use by all the family and have not been disappointed. I know Garlando tables from playing on their coin-operated models at college and was worried that the freeplay models would not give the same playability. However, the G500 uses the same telescopic rods as the tables I was used to and has the same size playing are so the feel is very similar. It is also heavy enough not to move around during play by 4 big lads and the contruction is completely rigid and very solid. Very few negatives other than a couple of the balls were a bit egg shaped although it came with 10 so 8 were fine ! The table was well delivered and was easy to set up although it did take some time to get the rods in the right order as the instructions were not very clear. Fantasy Leagues

Advantages: Added Spice to the Premiership Season
Disadvantages: Potentially time consuming

...For the last three or four years I have been doing a fantasy football team for the premiership season. Originally I started doing it in the newspaper, but now I use the internetbased site www.fantasyleague.com. I have tried other online leagues which are less expensive or free, but I still think this is the best value for money. Fantasy League used to do (may even still do) the fantasy football section in the Times and/or the Telegraph and now have a whole suite of fantasy games online. The basic fantasy football game is the "Classic" game on the site. There is also "Pro" and "Champions League" versions, but I will come back to that later. At this point I would also like to say that there are also some non-football games available including Formula 1 and Golf. During Euro 2004 and Wimbledon they did special games too. Anyway...

Review of Football Fantasy Leagues

Our Table Table at Carlisle Bordergate

Advantages: Unique design works well, quality pub food, reasonable prices.
Disadvantages: Close proximity to motorway makes outdoor eating a no no for me, tiny loo's.

I'd recommend a table at Table Table!

Advantages: Food presentation, good seating and decor, portion size, quality of food, vegetarian dishes
Disadvantages: Temperature of the restaurant, long waiting time, extras that weren't stated

...Yesterday was my dad's birthday, and for the evening we decided it would be a good idea to go out as a family to Table Table for our dinner. So after getting ready and changing into my Ark Clothing dress that I'd bought a couple of months ago, but hadn't got round to wearing, we made our way to the restaurant - at around 6:15. The Exterior When we got there it was around 6:30, and the six of us - My dad, my mom, my sister, my grandma, my grandad and me - made our way inside the restaurant to take our seats and wait for my auntie and uncle to arrive. The outside of the restaurant was very typical, but very nice looking. There were two, maybe three, benches outside for people to sit on in the nice weather if they decided to, and I pointed out to my mom that it looked like a restaurant you'd see abroad. Football mad

Advantages: A great game for all.
Disadvantages: Quite expensive.

...twist, turn and pull the tubes which make your men move. The men can only move left or right or can twist round in a circle. The table comes with it's own scoreboard which is such a relief as they would fight over the score if there wasn't one. Its a basic scoring system of 10 wooden cubes on a pole and there are two at opposite ends of the table. Each team keeps it's own score and we have a referee that keeps an eye open for any cheating! The table is quite a size measuring the length of 137cm, Width = 61cm, Height = 88cm. But we have a decent size hall that we use so there is enough room for all the other activities that we hold. The table football has become really popular and it can't keep up with the kids demand for it! We have devised up a league and the children get into teams and play each other. It's been a real success...

The FA Premier League Football Manager 2000

Advantages: No matter how many times you play it, you will always find something new
Disadvantages: No ability to edit players. It is sometimes nice to make up your own teams and this isn't possibel on this game. Bugs in the 3D Match Engine makes watching boring and predictable.

I was given The FA Premier League Football Manager 2000 as a Christmas present this year by one of my step-teenagers. Although dated it is still available and I couldn't wait to play it. Installation of the game is simple just pop the CD into your CD drive and the Auto-run menu will appear. If it doesn?t go to your start button on the task bar then click Run. A dialogue box will appear and type in d:\autorun and hit the return (if d is not the correct letter for your CD drive replace it with the correct letter). Now all you do is follow the instructions until you have the game loaded. Now the fun begins! You do not have to play in the Premier Division. You can in fact play any of the divisions...

Review of Fantasy Football

Some amusing stuff and alternative league football

Advantages: Suitable presenters
Disadvantages: Not the best football ever seen

...Soccer in the US - well they seem to take themselves seriously anyway. A lot more serious than we do anyway. The major league soccer offers us, the old masters of the beautiful game, an opportunity to laugh at how the Americans commentate on the game, and also see a lot of old world famous stars going out to pasture. Some of the teams of course are quite accomplished, like the Los Angeles Galaxy, but if you tune in to this programme don't expect a lot of boring Arsenal of the late 1980's 1-0 efforts, but more a bit of a laugh....
