Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.4 TDCi 5dr

Advantages: Cheap to run, Zetec handles really well
Disadvantages: Bit plasticy inside, can get rattly.

...I have a 2002 Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.4 TDCi 5dr in red. Over 60MPG, very low insurance and cheap tax. Beware of the first batch in 2002 that didn't have the CO2 tweaked so yours paying £120 tax when the exact same car released months after is only £35 a year to tax. Very annoying! The Zetec has superb handly and most of the time feels very nippy with good pull in higher gears on motorways. It seems a lot nippier than it's 68HP would suggest. I fill it up once a month and I'm driving about 25 miles a day to work and back and pottering around at weekends. The car has a couple of annoying rattles from the slightly cheap interior build quality but there are a nice number of storage compartments and the cabin feels pretty good standard. Seats are comfy and there is plenty of room in the car. I am 6ft 2 and my left knee does sometimes rub a bit...

Ford Fiesta Ghia 1.4 TDCi

Advantages: Economy, size, running costs, equipment
Disadvantages: Acceleration

... Ford Fiesta Ghia 1.4 TDCi 5dr Background I have owned my 2004 Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi since it was 6 months old and have traveled at the time of writing (OCT 2007) 25000 miles though the car has done 30000 in total. The car lacks in one area, which is acceleration, however, this does not detract from a 5-star rating because if you're purchasing a diesel at this price point you should be doing it for the excellent economy - not for super fast performance... The Drive The car is great fun to drive, and surprisingly nippy round town, the handling feels safe and secure and corners neatly. It is not a performance hatchback so don't expect to be 'burning-off' your average family saloon on a head to head, however the car has a respectable top speed (102mph) and cruises quite nicely on motorways at 70. Not as smooth as larger...

Ford Fiesta 1.4 16v - Brilliant small car

Advantages: Great handling, nippy, good fuel consumption, good features
Disadvantages: Slightly smaller boot than competitors, rear seats don't fold flat

...I have owned my Ford Fiesta 1.4 16v since last June. My particular model is a 3dr, which is more rare in this Ghia specification. Features include: - Leather seats - Air Condition - CD player - iPod connection (optional extra) - Automatic lights - Automatic windscreen wipers - Electric folding wing mirrors - 6x2 Spoke 15" alloy wheels - Front fog lights - Chrome effect front grill - Trip/MPG/Miles to empty computer - Steering wheel height adjustment Technical points - Petrol - 5 speed gearbox - Insurance group 5 - CO2 147 g/km - £125 tax a year - 12,500 mile service intervals - 80 BHP - 0-62: 12.3 secs - 45 litre fuel tank The car is a great little run around in town, and is very easy to park. Through 1st, 2nd and 3rd it is very nippy, so is the perfect town car. However, it also holds up well on the motorway, accelerating well in...

Ford fiesta a great economic car

Advantages: Cheap to run, good spec, handleing, good motorway drive
Disadvantages: not many(if any)

...I like my Fords I have had 3 a focus and two fiestas and never had a problem (best touch some wood now) at all this is the third fiesta I purchased. I bought the fiesta to replace a fiesta, which was the last of the old generation; I purchased the car for my wife who travels a long distance daily at least 60 miles a day. The car she had before was a .25 zetec, which were good but not that good on fuel it being a small engine pounding the motorway was quite thirsty so I opted or should I say I advised we get a diesel. I have a diesel focus zetec and it is great on fuel, having had the car for two weeks we have had to only put half as much fuel in as before on the older car. In a two week stint it used to have fuel put in at least twice, a tank a week this new 1.4 diesel fiesta only requires a fuel up once in two weeks. Bare in mind...

Review of Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi

Ford Fiesta 1.4i Ghia (5 Door)

Advantages: Great fuel economy, FAST acceleration, excellent top speed, Great all round small car!
Disadvantages: Lack of CD player (although CD Changers can be fitted), No Air conditioning, sunroof doesn't completely open - unless you take it off and put it in the boot!

...I bought my Fiesta from a dealer for £3995 (from window price of almost £6k!) with new tyres all round, and in presteen condition. I've had it approximately 2 months now, and have already covered almost 4000 miles. It is an absolutely fantastic car all round. Great town/city car, very easy to park as visual all round is very good, it corners like it's on rails! and excellent for motorway cruising. 0-60 comes in under 10 seconds, so very fast acceleration (I've beaten a Golf GTI off the lights) and is capable (with 1 person and nothing in the boot) of just over 125mph - I did this on an empty airfield... The interior is very simple, with most controls on the centre console. This consists of push buttons for things like fog lights, heated rear windscreen, and simple dial-type knobs for the heating and the fan. It is...

Ford Fiesta 1.6 tdci Ghia 5dr

Advantages: Fuel Economy, Nippy, Very good handling, Build Quality, Price,
Disadvantages: New model fiesta due end 2008, so poss depreciation increase

...Bought a pre-reg 2008 57 plate with delivery miles for £9799. List of nearly 14k!!! would be a bit steep but a bargain at the price I paid! After vowing never to buy another ford 7 years ago, I test drove one of these and it was instantly sold to me. It was a three way split decision for me between this, a Seat Ibiza 1.4td ecomotive and the new 1.4d Mazda2. Seat had the fuel economy, good ride but cheap feel to the build. Mazda was fantastic ride, well built (it is on the new fiestas chassis) but underpowered. The Fiesta though, was surprisingly well built, very nippy, handled very well and came with many more toys for the price!!! Only down side is that this mark is 6 months from being changed (but this only matters to the fashion concious) But this is also a major plus as the deals you can get are far far better than the competition...

Review of Ford Fiesta 1.6 TDCi

Ford Fiesta

Advantages: cheap and fun car.
Disadvantages: Not much space on the back seats but its a fiesta not a limo.

...The Ford Fiesta 1.25 is a great car, ford first brought the 1.25 zetec fiesta out in 1996 on the mk4 fiesta, and from that day they put zetec engines in all the fiesta they brought out. The fiesta is still one of the best reliability and cheap car today. The 1.25 engine is a nippy car and is great for young students who what to drive and buy their first car, but also older people who would like a cheap car. i've got a fiesta 1.25 zetec and never had no problems with it so far. In my opinion the Ford fiesta zetec-s 1.6 engine is the best car and would love to have one soon as i saved lots of money up. The space in the fiesta could be limited for some people but for me there is plenty of room being on my own. with a fiesta you have to get power streering because its so much easyer than not having it. makes life so much...

Review of Ford Fiesta 1.25

A Fiesta Dilemma

Advantages: Lovely Car
Disadvantages: Will it stand the test of time?

...I bought my Fiesta 1.4 Finesse, Durashift, brand new, in October 2003. It was Ford's latest attempt at producing an automatic small car after their earlier disasters with auto gearboxes. My car is a five door, I would have preferred three doors but at that time the durashift was only being produced with five. It is a 2004 basic Finesse model but came with the added bonus of ABS as standard, otherwise the only posh bits are the cd playerand manual central locking! It does not have electric windows, remote central locking or air con - but I have to say that for the amount of time I would use these features they seemed very expensive add-ons! The cost? around £9500 - it always costs £1000 more for an automatic or durashift - I have never understood why people who cannot drive a manual vehicle are discriminated against in this way...

Review of Ford Fiesta 1.4

Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.25 5door, my experience!!

Advantages: The road tax is low!
Disadvantages: The price of the vehicle!

...I brought my Fiesta 7months ago it is lovely; the car handling is good quality. The steering is light and easy to use all the controls. My fiesta is a 55 plate so the dash board is all electronic (apart from the speed monitor), I like this because it?s easy to read and modern. I think that the price is unfair considering the brand and the size of the car the price is high as I paid £6,000 and I have this vehicle on 4 years on finance. In my opinion if these companies want to make more money they should sell these vehicles at a lower price. I also noticed that the ford style has next to nothing on the vehicle, if you want alloy wheel ect you would have to upgrade to the next model up that is the Zetec and then its £2,000 + more (this is why I went for the Zetec). My over all review of this vehicle is lovely car nicely designed but...

1992 1.4i Ford Fiesta

Advantages: Still under Cheap tax, cheap parts
Disadvantages: Poor Cornering, Rust as always

...The third Fiesta i bought, (the other two both being 1.1 engines) and i must say ive noticed quite a difference in driving the car. Smaller engined Fiesta's tend to be breathless above 30mph but the 1.4 gently accelerates upto 80mph and beyond. After having 2 trouble free spells with Fiestas, i thought id go and buy something a little faster, as now that i was 20 years old, insurance would drop a little. I bought my 1992 Ford Fiesta Freestyle 1.4 CFi with only 45,000 miles on the clock. The bodywork was tidy and the interior was bright against the black dash. Starting the engine, you immediately notice the difference with the smaller engined Fiestas, as this uses the CFi engine, which has a deeper tone than the others. Its pretty nippy in and around town, a bit roly under cornering but overall its not a bad car. The car is pretty...
