Disadvantages: Not much space on the back seats but its a fiesta not a limo.

...The Ford Fiesta 1.25 is a great car, ford first brought the 1.25 zetec fiesta out in 1996 on the mk4 fiesta, and from that day they put zetec engines in all the fiesta they brought out. The fiesta is still one of the best reliability and cheap car today. The 1.25 engine is a nippy car and is great for young students who what to drive and buy their first car, but also older people who would like a cheap car. i've got a fiesta 1.25 zetec and never had no problems with it so far. In my opinion the Ford fiesta zetec-s 1.6 engine is the best car and would love to have one soon as i saved lots of money up. The space in the fiesta could be limited for some people but for me there is plenty of room being on my own. with a fiesta you have to get power streering because its so much easyer than not having it. makes life so much...

Ford fiesta a great economic car

Advantages: Cheap to run, good spec, handleing, good motorway drive
Disadvantages: not many(if any)

...I like my Fords I have had 3 a focus and two fiestas and never had a problem (best touch some wood now) at all this is the third fiesta I purchased. I bought the fiesta to replace a fiesta, which was the last of the old generation; I purchased the car for my wife who travels a long distance daily at least 60 miles a day. The car she had before was a .25 zetec, which were good but not that good on fuel it being a small engine pounding the motorway was quite thirsty so I opted or should I say I advised we get a diesel. I have a diesel focus zetec and it is great on fuel, having had the car for two weeks we have had to only put half as much fuel in as before on the older car. In a two week stint it used to have fuel put in at least twice, a tank a week this new 1.4 diesel fiesta only requires a fuel up once in two weeks. Bare in mind...

Ford Fiesta 1.25 Zetec

Advantages: Good acceleration, positive steering
Disadvantages: Poor display of instruments, notchy/awkward gear change

...I recently had reason to drive my mother-in-law's 1-year-old Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.25. It is the bog standard 5-door hatchback model and I had to get used to using window winders - my car has electric windows. She didn't want "anything fancy" she said. I found the car very quick for a 1.25, but it wouldn't pull the skin of a rice-pudding on some hills we encountered. Brakes were very good and steering quite repsonsive. The noise-levels were quite good at low speed, but there was a lot of road and wind noise at higher speeds on motorways. On the negative side, the gears were rather notchy and I had some difficulty engaging 4th and 3rd gear as I came down from 5th. ...I passed my test last June and that's when I purchased my car - a silver ford fiesta flight 1.3. After wanting the newer ford models and planning to save up and buy a different car for about 6 weeks i suddenly changed my mind after realising I actually loved the car I had and would be ever so sad to see it go. Its a brilliant first time car, the seats are comfortable, the clutch isnt heavy, the steering is light, it looks gorgeous inside when it is lit up at night. ...I have owned a Ford Fiesta since March 2001 which was brought new. I am very pleased with the car overall and it is about the best of the rest when it comes to small cars. My Fiesta is the 1.225cc and 16V with the aluminium head and i must say that it quite nippy when it needs to be. Ford Fiesta Fun 1.29 - 2001 (UP-DATED)

Advantages: Cost efficient to run and very reliable
Disadvantages: Can take a while to build up speed, especially when carrying weight

...** UP-DATED REVIEW ** My first car, which I still cherish, but I am now starting to think about bigger and better things .. only think mind you, this will keep me going for a good number of years yet, if I am not in a position to upgrade. The car is now 5 years old, and I am in my fourth year of ownership, having bought it for £3,900, from an original retail price of circa £6,500 a year earlier - amazing how quickly cars depreciate in value ... I would never buy brand new for that simple reason. 2 year warranty also remained on the car, but I think I am right in thinking most decent manufacturers provide a 3 year warranty these days. If you want a reliable, solid, nippy, and efficient car then you can't really go wrong with a Ford Fiesta, in whatever model you are considering. Obviously price will vary by a few grand...

Power has been raised to 148bhp and torque t 14olbft. As well as the increase in power, the ST has been given a new exhaust system, faster throttle response and the five-speed manual gearbox has been extensively modified. The ST is the quickest going Fiesta yet, hitting 60mph in 7.9 seconds. This is slow compared to the similarly priced Renualtsport Clio 182 Cup which does it in 6.9 seconds. While there is a decent spread of torque throughout the ST's rev, it saves the best performance to last and urges you to keep the tip of the needle on the right hand side of the tachometer's face. Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.4 TDCi 5dr

Advantages: Cheap to run, Zetec handles really well
Disadvantages: Bit plasticy inside, can get rattly.

...I have a 2002 Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.4 TDCi 5dr in red. Over 60MPG, very low insurance and cheap tax. Beware of the first batch in 2002 that didn't have the CO2 tweaked so yours paying £120 tax when the exact same car released months after is only £35 a year to tax. Very annoying! The Zetec has superb handly and most of the time feels very nippy with good pull in higher gears on motorways. It seems a lot nippier than it's 68HP would suggest. I fill it up once a month and I'm driving about 25 miles a day to work and back and pottering around at weekends. The car has a couple of annoying rattles from the slightly cheap interior build quality but there are a nice number of storage compartments and the cabin feels pretty good standard. Seats are comfy and there is plenty of room in the car. I am 6ft 2 and my left knee does sometimes rub a bit...

Advantages: CD Player, cheap to run

...I bought a 04 plate Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.4 3dr about 2 years ago. I am a fan of Ford cars, had a little KA before. Hence, this purchase. Best things (from a girls point of view!) - Is that it has really good heating and A/C, heats up all nice and toasty but also lovely in the summer with the A/C on a long drive. At the moment with this cold weather, I hate it if it takes me ages to de-frost my car but this is great, does the front and back as normal but also has little heaters in the door which start de-frosting the windows!! But the best thing of all in the stereo, I have just the standard ford CD player. Nothing special from the front but has this brilliant thing of knowing how noisy your car is so if you are on the motorway it increases the volume and then if you stop and some light it will decrease.
