Ford have never made a supermini this good. One important tip though is to only buy the very punchy 1.6tdci. The 1.4tdci is slow and actually worse on fuel economy in comparison to the bigger but slightly more frugal 1.6tdci. Cracking value for money...

Advantages: Looks, general finish, equipment levels, colours, low running costs Disadvantages: Some cheap dash plastics, rear seats not comfy
...on the road. I owned two early models & found them to be very reliable & great for town use.

Advantages: Running costs; driving experience; nippy engine, sporty looking Disadvantages: The diesel engine noise is sometimes intrusive a low speeds
...commute involves a lot of stop-start driving.
Insurance is cheaper than any other car I have previously owned.
Road tax is ridiculously cheap at £35 per year.
Its 1st 12.5K mile service cost only £89 from a ford dealership

Perfect so far.
