...I arrived at Hendy Ford in Cosham and I must admit, parking was not the easiest. However once I found a space I was so glad I came here! I was greeted by David Beckhurst, who was extremely polite and asked if I required any help, I told him that I was just looking. He said that if I needed anything, he would be happy to help me. I was looking at the Ford Focus, and was having a little trouble with the seating position. David spotted me from across the showroom and came to help me. I am very cautious of car sales men, being a single woman. However without being pushy he told me how the seat worked and I was able to adjust the seat the way I wanted it. ...This is basically a bigger than average MPV which is based on the much loved Ford Transit but in such a way that it retains its impressive van abilities but also incorporates excellent passenger car comfort and equipment. It is a friendly and easy to use site which is a hive of information and all things "Galaxy" It's FREE to register, and it is officially recognised by Ford themselves. ...dealer (the largest network in the UK) should be cheap and painless, and there are so many Fiestas around, finding parts will never be costly or difficult. Ford build quality is good and the car's reliability record is good. A four-star NCAP result is par for this class, though a few rivals go one better....

Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec

Advantages: A great car from all angles
Disadvantages: Not as many extras included as I would have liked

...I am now the proud owner of a ford focus 1.6 zetec and for the first time in many years I have actually found a car that pretty muc suits all my needs. I have spent many a time in cars that are too big, too small, not suitable, not comfortable etc but this is everything I could ask for. I own the three door version but the doors open widely and when the front seat is moved forward there is plenty of room to get anyone in the back, even my mother in law who is disabled. The back of this car is extremely spacious, comfortably fitting 3 large adults in. The boot size is deceiving in that it looks pretty small but is very spacious indeed. Perfect for all those shopping bags as well as a childs pushchair. The actual drive of this car is superb. Mine runs on unleaded and is very economical. I can get over 200 miles to £35...

So ford so bland

...The Ford website is pretty much like the cars - standard with few features to distinguish them from the crowd. The website opens with a Flash intro (although this is optional) and then leads to 5 pictures of happy, beautiful, smiling people who are as chuffed as pigs in mud with the "Fordness" of it all. (I realise that when Henry Ford made the Model T, it was a revolution for manufacters everywhere with the conception of the production line, but I didn't realise Ford had taken to mass producing beautiful people too...). As a bereft student, I chose the 'I just want to look' option from one of five, including 'I want to buy' and 'I own a Ford'. The site took an age to load on a T1 line. Yet another Flash intro and a happy face, with options to view the cars, and a feature on the Mondeo (which was average at best). Perhaps...

...I always said I wouldn't touch any Ford with a barge pole. That was until I was looking for a new car recently. For the money I had to spend (around 10,000GBP) it was a question of balancing getting a nearly new car against a couple of years old car which would have had a higher list price when new. I decided to go for the option that will (hopefully) cost me less money. I now have a 9 month old Focus 1.6 Zetec with Air Conditioning pack (which includes the heated front screen). Just so that you know the Focus comes in a number of variations: 1.4, 1.6; 1.8 and 2.0 engine sizes and LX, Zetec, and Ghia trims. There is also a sporty ST170 (170 BHP).
