Advantages: Blends well, isn't heavy, protects against sun related skin damage

It would be fair to say that this stuff falls somewhat between a tinted moisturiser and a full blown foundation. It comes in a green tube (thus resembling a moisturiser), but it has a full range of colours and shades (Although I'm pretty fair, I'm using 03 - Medium, as I bought it when I had a bit of a tan). The consistency is thinner than a foundation (in fact, it sometimes comes out quite watery - I have to remind myself to shake the tube well). The tube tells me it's fragrance free and allergy tested. I've never experienced any irritation when using this, but my skin isn't especially prone to it (though when I used Mac foundation, I did notice a slight burning sensation). ...on the skin. I use a trusty make up sponge to make sure its blended properly. I love the full coverage it gives, perfect when I am called out to the hospital in the middle of the night. I just stick a layer of this on and you can't tell I have had no sleep! I buy alot of my make up from Debenhams, which you have proabaly noticed from my other reviews. This product costs me around £17.50 which i think is great compared to other such as estee lauder which can cost up to £21 for the same size foundation. Overall this foundation gives good blendable coverage which stays on and lasts....

...In the past whenever I have approached one of the ladies behind a makeup counter for help on finding a foundation to suit my skin, I have always walked away not pleased. These ladies have come across as being very helpful & they do try their best but they have always tried colours on my skin that were a few shades too dark unfortunately. This might have been down to the fact that I have an uneven skin tone & in order for them to try to even out my skin colour, they always happened to pick out the darkest colour on my face and go with that particular shade. Clinique gentle light irritating makeup

...This is my second Clinique foundation, and I think a symptom of my getting older. I used to use their Almost makeup, which is extremely light, but has the advantage of being SPF15. However, as I am getting older and more tired, it is making less and less difference. So I decided to upgrade. I decided to put my faith in the Clinique counter lady and went into boots. I told her what I had previously used and that it wasn't quite doing enough anymore. The woman said that this one was next up on the coverage list, so she tried out some colours and gave me a little bottle. As usual with Clinique products, it was a costly little bottle at £18.50 for 45ml; but I've used enough of them over the years to know that they're good quality, last for a long time and suit my skin. SUPERFIT FOUNDATION FOR A NATURAL, HEALTHY SKIN

Advantages: Longlasting, transfer resistant, natural finish
Disadvantages: cost may deter some people

My skin is fairly sensitive, so the allergy tested, no fragrance formula suited me a treat. The only real negative things I can think of with this product is that its lack of moisturisers would make it unsuitable for dry skins and the choice of colours does not really include enough darker colours, so would not be right for ethnic or mediterranean skins. To sum up, this is a foundation which is extremely good for the price and for which I can find no equal. Just to be sure before you make a purchase, ask the sales assistant ( however intimidating they may seem) for several samples in different shades so you can try them in daylight. Clinique Superbalanced compact make-up

...I bought this Clinique Superbalanced compact make-up for about £17 for 10g from Boots about a year ago. I It's a must have for combination skin; it knows exactly where to hydrate and control oil. It's an oil free product with 13 different shades, I recommend golden for medium to dark skin (I have pale skin but when I get a spray tan I use this colour) The good thing about this foundaiton is you can buy refills so you dont have to keep buying the whole compact again and again refills cost £14 for 10g saving around £3 if you buy another compact. The coverage is moderate; I don't like full coverage foundations as they look really unnatural, where as this compact makes your skin look very natural but flawless at the same time. How to apply the product Use the sponge given to you in the compact or any other sponges and smooth it...

.... Whilst wearing this I have been told that my complexion looks even and clear which I don't think I have ever been told before! When it comes time to remove the foundation, it comes off easily with most types of cleaners and/or make up removers. I have had no kind of reaction which this product- I have sensitive skin and it seems fine to me which no problems. Although it does seem expensive this bottle has lasted me a long time and I am very happy with it. As I mentioned before, it is quite hard to match the colour (or for me it was anyway!) so I would recommend trying it in store and then wearing it home and checking in a range of different lights....

Clinique's Almost Makeup

Advantages: really natural coverage
Disadvantages: won't cover up larger imperfections

...'t seem so bad. I like using this foundation during the day. I'm a student and don't want to be wearing heavy make up all day long, but like to have something just to make my skin appear a little healthier. I find it covers any small imperfections and evens out the the colour of my skin well. However I don't think it would cover spots or problem skin well. I found the sunscreen very useful. I have fairly sensitive skin, and find that when it comes to using suncreen on my face - even facial sunscreens that claim to be for sensitive skin - I often come out in a rash and my skin gets very irritated. However I have had no such problems with Almost Makeup, so whilst travelling in SE Asia this summer, used this product almost exclusively during the day as both a base and as a sunscreen. Clinique soft finish foundation!

Advantages: Long lasting coverage, Moisture giving, everything you'd want in a foundation!
