...Four Rooms is an anthology film made in 1995. Split into four parts each part is written and directed by a different director and is largely independent of the other parts except for the connecting features of the same hotel and the same bellhop Ted played by Tim Roth. 2 out of 4 Ain't Bad

Advantages: A couple of really nicely done segments
Disadvantages: It doesn't quite flow together

...amusing enough, although better written than the previous segment, it is not exactly what you'd call a comedy, which is what this film is classified as. There is a nice link into the following segment and the ending has a very nice touch. The direction is better this time around as well, as there are some very stylish shots, although there is one that suggests the director is a little too impressed with his own work, or was just showing off a little. To continue the improvements, the music is a lot better this time around too, although there isn't a lot of it, given that this is mostly a spoken piece, with very little outside that. This is the point at which you can start to believe the idea of having a film in four parts might just work. The third segment is the Robert Rodriguez section, "The Misbehavers", set in Room 309. Four parents, one Christmas

Advantages: Brilliant main actors, great storyline, fun festive film
Disadvantages: Lack of chemistry between Vaughn and Witherspoon, most of comedy in trailers, got a bit silly

...Brad and Kate are a happily in love couple who enjoy having fun without the responsibilities of marriage or children. For three years they've successfully managed to dodge the unwelcome Christmas season usually spent with family and have jetted off to many exotic locations. Advantages: Excellent Comedy, Great Cast, Good story

...~ Spilt in Four ~ Last night after a hard day job hunting and having interviews, we went to our local blockbuster and rented four films for £10. One of these which we watched last night was ?Four Christmases?. I remember this coming out a while ago and thinking it looked quite funny but forgot all about it till now. What made me noticed the film was mainly the famous cast and the plot. The cast consists of a range of well known stars including Vince Vaughan and Reese Witherspoon. I really like Vince and find his comedy great to watch, so this was a main reason for choosing the film. The film also included many other stars who I recognised playing the protagonists parents. Fantastic Four

Advantages: good action film, special effects
Disadvantages: purists maybe upset

...Four (Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch and the Thing) are born, as well as new arch villain Dr Doom. Initially I had been told lots of bad things about the Fantastic 4 film. That it was not worth seeing. That it was a lemon of a film, and that it was not a true depiction of the Fantastic Four characters from the comics. The last of these reasons (to me) would not be very high on my reasons for not seeing the film as I had not read any of the comics and so I didn't know the true story of the characters, also this was a theatrical release and so would probably upset the purists anyway no matter how it was done. However I was still not completely confident when I inserted the disk. But how did it fair? Four Bothers

Advantages: Some good stunt sequences
Disadvantages: Terrible acting, writing and direction

...cars and Z-list stars vehicle "2 Fast 2 Furious". Sadly "Four Brothers is symptomatic of his continuing decline, glorifying violence and condoning vigilantes in this paper thin revenge actioner. At best it can be said to be a paean to the exploitation movies of the 1970s. However, it feels like a step back for the director whose seminal work suggested that retribution isn't the same as redemption, whereas here he positively encourages eye-for-eye tactics, to exclusion of everything else. He discards any attempts at characterisation early on (though they oddly seem to have been reinserted during the end credits) leaving us with a bunch of entirely unsympathetic main protagonists whose sole motivation is blind revenge without any recourse to more traditional means of justice first. ...As soon as I saw Four Christmases Advertised I had to see it. Vince Vaughn and Reece Witherspoon make numerous appearances in my dvd collection so I knew more than likely i would probably love this film. The trailer looked great, like a great Christmas Comedy, perfect to put me in the Xmas Mood!! The Film is about a couple, Brad (Vince Vaughan) and Kate (Reece Witherspoon), the pair are happy, what some would say,the perfect couple. They aren't married and have no kids, their relationship is good and fun times. They've been together 3 years but it seems its very much a honey moon period and its going to continue that way.
