...Four elderly friends, Ricky, John, Edward and Sears, meet on a regular basis to tell ghost stories, much to the dissatisfaction of their families, who have to put up with their terrible nightmares. However, it seems that a secret that they have been hiding for fifty years is coming back to haunt them when one of Edward's twin sons dies, after meeting a mysterious woman who reminds the four friends of a woman they once knew. Review of Ghost Story DVD

Fred Astaire eat your heart out

Advantages: Great music , fabulous animation , good plot , excellent special effects
Disadvantages: May not be for the really young

.... Enter Memphis , singing an Elvis standard and you have the perfect couple. Their egg which eventually becomes Mumble ( aka Happy Feet ) has one big problem . He's a worse singer than Des O'connor but as good a dancer as Fred Astaire . Unfortunately in this penguin world the dancing won't compensate . His next big problem is, he's different . Now this film has a couple of morals in it :- Every one has a place and use however different they are . What's new isn't always bad . Be open minded . Be caring . Protect the enviroment - yes this is a big issue in this film . The fish are dissappearing - why? Is it because Mumble's so odd and different he's offended he gods ? Where are they all going ?. Can Mumble bring back the fish ? My little companion picked up on the litter issue causing damage and the accepting different types...

Fred Flaws

Advantages: Some funny moments.
Disadvantages: Not enough funny moments because of the sloppy writing.

Festive Fred Claus!

Advantages: great talent, amazing and unique plot, nice length

...I am a massive film fan, and I absolutely adore going into one of the local cinemas to catch up on the latest films! Last year, my friend and I went in to see the Christmas film of 2006 (Santa Clause 3) on the 1st of December, to get us into the festive spirit. This year, we decided to carry on this new tradition, so we checked up on the latest films, and one in particular caught our attention; Fred Claus! It seemed like the perfect Christmas film for us to see, and the trailer we watched for it made it out to be very comic and amusing. Drop dead Fred

Advantages: Hilarious entertainment

...childhood 'Drop dead Fred', (played by Rik Mayall), who only Lizzie can hear or see. With many flashback later, the story unfolds as to how Lizzie happened upon Fred and how Fred would always get Lizzie into trouble. But as Lizzie was now in the same state of mind as when she was younger, being depressed and alone, she unleashes the power of the very naughty Fred. As Lizzie tries to get her life back on track, attempting to patch up her marriage, Fred is at her side, trying to help in his own haphazard way? **IN CONCLUSION** Well what can I say about this movie..??? Hilarious?, comical?, side-splittingly funny? Well all three spring to mind. Fred's verse for a charity nurse.

Advantages: Funny and all for a worthwhile cause.
Disadvantages: Too short !!!!

...a few I couldn't categorise but to summarise the rest, no one is spared Fred's wit, Tony Blair, Maggie Thatcher, Richard Branson, Rupert Murdoch, Max Bygraves, Antiques Roadshow, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, Basil Brush, Emily Pankhurst and women footballers plus Litigation ( a modern disease in my opinion ) and a crowning touch with one simply titled St. Luke's, which pays a tribute to anyone buying the book. Drop Dead, Fred!

Advantages: based on a good idea, humorous at times
Disadvantages: not-so-humorous at times

...Elizabeth (Phoebe Cates) has just realised that her marriage is well and truly over. In the same day, she manages to get fired from her job. At this point, she decides to cut her losses and give into her mother's demands that she come and stay with her. As a result, she is in a bit of an odd place, both emotionally and physically - her marriage over, no job, at her family's home. Basically, she has come full circle and has in a way reverted back to her childhood. And it is at this point that she comes across the box her childhood friend Drop Dead Fred (Rik Mayall) was trapped in by her mother many years previously, and sets him free. ...This film was very enjoyable. It is about Santa Claus's brother, the only thing I can say is that I think it focused on his brother too much through out the film. Fred Claus didn't believe in the life style of Santa Claus. They have a family meal together and Fred is lent some money on the promise that Fred goes to work for Santa over Christmas to pay him back. First he disagrees, but them he eventually agrees to go. On the day they have agreed an elf comes to collect Fred in a sleigh to take him to lap land so he can help Santa. The two brother do not get on well at all, and they fight a lot. Fred has also in the past fallen out with his parents, because his parents think Santa is great and Fred is a looser. He helps Santa by going through the naughty and nice list.
